I though about immortality would be like myself and not only is nanashi completely alone but he has no reason to do anything. In perspective of a human doctors would be useless I'll live forever, I wouldn't need food or water, I would lack motivation to live because everything is handed to me on a silver platter. While I am currently playing SMT V: Vengeance. I now know why I avoided this game. I hated the characters when I saw how incredibly nice they are. And in the Massacre Route. I finally know what is missing... People shown at their worst when under threat, especially against the Super Natural. They had each other, in good company, yet they are off in someway. I am so glad Vengeance shows how people, at their highest and lowest points, still has that corruption on them. Give them what they want, take what they care and allow their emotions boil, and they turned their heads to achieve their goal.

Honestly I hated everyone, but when it came to Toki I was pretty upset.
She went from an unfeeling merciless killer to being a lovestruck girl who wants the best for the protaganist over the events of the game, and as such is the only character besides Navarre which has any sort of real character growth.
I brought her back as my partner but it's still upsetting because this is a false Toki.
At least her instant kill passive made the final dungeon relaxing.
I didn't give a shit about anyone except Gaston. He shined through and became a bro by the end.
Think on the bright side. Out of all the characters you can resurrect, Toki is most likely the only one who doesn't get brainwashed to be your Goddess. Though it just speculation on my end and headcanon, but from all the goddesses cutscenes, Toki is the only one who does't get a monotone tone of voice, like she still sounds like she is herself

I know who I would choose. Dagda. His vision... unlike what you might think, his path leads into true collectiveness, not individuality. Our physical bodies are what create the illusion of separation. His delusions of individuality shall pave the way for the universe I wish to see built.

I was happy to have a option to kill everyone. Always having happy ending it's boring. Even though it's the canon ending on this one. But I like to have the option that the main character change sides and helps the bad guy accomplish his goal.
your "friends" are bad guys too, you know.
Everyone's a bad guy in a way
Megaten games NEVER have explicitly happy endings at all, if anything this one is the only one to be "perfect" (and even then, the yellow head, or any other entity ftm, can still be ressurected if humanity's desires). It's nice to have an actual happy one in a while if anything...

What's the theme that plays during this fight?
darude sandstorm xd lololol
I'll answer your question, tho you may have already found the theme by now, It's the theme from the Shin Megami Tensei 4 before Apocalypse, It's Called (Shin Megami Tensei 4 ost- Battle B4)
It is considered Isabeau’s theme in the regular IV
If anything the most coolest characters have to be Gaston and Toki. Everyone else's reasons are kind of lack luster but at least Toki understands the problem with becoming a god and Gaston has his own reason for being a samurai that extend past himself. I though about immortality would be like myself and not only is nanashi completely alone but he has no reason to do anything. In perspective of a human doctors would be useless I'll live forever, I wouldn't need food or water, I would lack motivation to live because everything is handed to me on a silver platter. We live and progress knowing one day we will expire we try to leave are mark on the world before we fade back to dust so we know we didn't waste decades being nothing but a waste of space. That's just my opinion alsooooo Isabeau's boss fight was better. Cry me a river I still won't be swayed.
Well, I think Toki just wanted to fight with us in order to prove her superior strenght over our companions, so that when the time came, we would choose her to have at our side. For what good is loyalty, if you're worthless ?
I cried killing Navarre, goddamn :,( that character development

Anyone know the ost that plays when fighting this boss fight?
A bit late but battle B4
this needed a tchno remix of the song to work
nozomi: betrays you and asahi by reporting you to the hunters, almost getting you killed
navarre: a nonce & a dickhead
toki: weirdo who borderline harasses nanashi every chance she gets, didnt care about asahis death and only saw it as an opportunity to get nanashi
gaston: also generally a dickhead, though he does turn against merkabah. that said him drawing the line at merkabah comitting genocide against tokyo is a pretty low bar
isabeau: very distant, not a huge part of this games story
aside from asahi who's already dead at this point (and had that whole incest thing going on anyway), and hallelujah who's mostly fine aside from being a dweeb (though as the new leader of the ashura-kai you could argue his morality), i really didnt feel bad about killing off any of these characters. this route is less bleak and more just. strange. that the story flies off the rails so drastically.
Sorry, what incest thing?
While I am currently playing SMT V: Vengeance. I now know why I avoided this game. I hated the characters when I saw how incredibly nice they are.
And in the Massacre Route. I finally know what is missing... People shown at their worst when under threat, especially against the Super Natural. They had each other, in good company, yet they are off in someway.
I am so glad Vengeance shows how people, at their highest and lowest points, still has that corruption on them. Give them what they want, take what they care and allow their emotions boil, and they turned their heads to achieve their goal.
I know Megaten fans get annoyed whenever persona gets brought up, but IMAGINE if heartful cry was playing during this boss fight!
MegaTen fan here. I mean I guess it's kinda similar? Except in FES it was to smack sense into everyone, here it's more to smack the soul out of everyone.
*spoilers ahead i guess*
I know "Persona bad" but the Nyx Avatar fight was phenomenal.
Do not worry about them
But like in the answer you don't kill your friends
I think that’d make me even more eager to rid of those guys. I mean, i do like some of them, but…one is a huge ass, one is annoying, and one forces his way into the group. Honestly, when Navarre said his pants got caught i thought “looks like Lady Luck got there just in time to save her bff from perversion”. That, and I’ll be blunt. Aside from the wraith wall thing, he’s Aqua-level uselessness. Before folks say “oi, he buffs you!”, you can have one demon be your main buffer, and that’s that. I actually have a slightly more support based Medusa i desire to use that i made.
@@MateriaLord826 Thing is, Navarre can get Debilitate. Which means you can have your demons only focus on healing and damage. Same with Asahi/Isabeau, where you can have them buff and do damage but not have to heal

Damn I said it was hard to sympathize w them years ago? What the fuck, yeah no they really don't deserve to be betrayed after helping you, and if deciding to not ally with you because of your choices is so bad then Dagda should be to blame too

@@christopherbravo1813 I forgot to respond, I don't think the friends are necessarily using you, they align with you because they have goals of their own, and at that point Nanashi get's in the way of their goals not the other way around
I wouldn't say the friends use you so much as they scratch your back and hope you scratch theirs too, plus I don't think accusing them of using the protagonist necessarily means much when to get this route you need to answer dark questions which mostly include being a jerk and using Asahi as an actual human shield in the adramelch fight
@@pedro2629 like I *said,* I don't like either route. however, even if your "friends" aren't manipulating you, they are still using you as a pawn and being incredibly hypocritical. personally, if I were Nanashi, I'd ditch everyone and find my OWN path-one that isn't forced on me by other people.

@@christopherbravo1813 it’s really only the more modern smt’s that favors neutral. In smt1 and strange journey everything is fucked no matter what and I’d argue that Aleph suffers more in neutral than say chaos.
