Early SC2 was some of the cheesiest gameplay I have ever experienced. I mastered the cheese bunker rush and baneling bust..early on void rays were pretty much unstoppable. Reapers were gg against anyone lower than platinum. Nowadays the game is much better balanced but still nowhere near SC1 IMO.

Artosis getting rid of the all army hotkey showcases his rigid thinking. In most cases, all army hotkey is a mistake. But there is a few times (ESPECIALLY AS PROTOSS) when you want all your units in one place, right now. All army hotkey is the most effective way of doing that. But because in most of the cases its a mistake, it can never be useful in artosis' eyes.
Hi think about all you say so hear me out. You do it, so you don't get into wrong habits. I think he doesn't mean it's super optimal in a theoretical world not to use it in few cases. Of course there are obvious functionalities but you do not need them on pro.(...) But others then yours, most times it's newbie, because it removes anything from the map again not bad itself necessarily (like your example is helpful for you) but for habit! On pro levels there is always different situations, i.e. sometimes you do a harras behind the total all-in defense, to then have a winning chance. (So all-army habit removes this capability = skill) Don't blame too much. It's nice it works for you. But not at you personal, but I just see people ignore old wisdom and say f2, hell most use f keys for camera i have that put to ^ and what. People who recommend f2 or "all army" are a liability for this community. Again yes it has functions, but most tips are too generalized so people get the wrong idea. It only gets them so far. (So perhaps YOU have the best intentions, but you know there are many ppl who just write without remorse or rather there are more casuals than you think who write more than they play (so you read those), and it gets mixed up with the good comments, if that makes sense. FOr use - yes I see you are smart not that way I describe, I'm just saying stuff I witnessed - There are certainly things where it's useful. AND most certainly in what you say for absolute "oh shit", BUT but but but... but again on pro level you kinda want to prevent these "oh shit" moments and instead prepare properly, especially when training. So... when you read all that you will understand that in essence he is right: "there is never useful" *on highest level.* So don't take it too direct. It's phrased in typical over-exxageration. ("never") Please help not making too easy comments on streamers all time, because most of time it's written by dunning krugers who don't really know the highest stuff or just want to say smth because for them it's awesome - I can totally get that, but it's getting too much like when you only read that. It's copium of finest quality. (Again not you) For theory this is what I use it for, but this needs dedication cause it's just that easy to use all-army in oh shit moments and then you get bad habit. - scan all units on map for certain units, i.e. medivacs, or casters, or units that aren't grouped such as lonely ghost (IF I am missing, or grouping fresh caster spawns). THen you can ctrl+click on units to choose only them - early game where you do not multitask but it's quickening up the game. Though you should be way fast enough in pro game, because if you can't do it even, then you won't be able to do Multitasking and many other lategame things where you need be fit with brain and perception. (like remembering plan, changed plan, and in battle tactics) This is why you always see the smartest koreans dominate some tournaments, in the past. A great example is rogue, while he isn't the most consistent you can certainly see certain power to make it clear what i mean...

Claims Protoss in SC2 is closer to Brood War Terran than Terran in sc2. No i don’t get it either. I think it was the 3 supply tanks… I doubt it was the 55 hp marines.
Pro tip for the first game: SC2 added a new ability to all units called "hold position" if you press that on your adepts in the wall, then the lings will be blocked out of your base and both your adepts can one shot each zergling as they try to attack the single adept single file rendering them effectively target practice and you can just build more units, replacing the adept in the wall if it ever dies. It's fairly advanced, but you'll get there.

Fun stuff though, it's entertaining as hell to watch any of them play the game they cast so much, be it Artosis, Tasteless, Day 9 or someone else who's known for, or was known for being an SC2 caster. Edit: The game at ~ 57:00 - I had a guy do a contain like this to me once, I was just like "Really bro?" Cuz he contained me on 2 bases instead of 1... I just built up a 6-carrier army, dumpstered his contain & pushed with those plus Stalkers & said "get out" lol

(with a few adaptions so they still see important things duh) Blizzard actually added extra effects and small animations to the default UI since last time you played the sc2 (I remember you in korean tournament) (I mean fancy if you want it fancy, but annoying if you want it simple)

If your opponent is doing something unusual, taking a chance with "cheese" ie all in or proxy, something that if countered could cost him the game, and succeeds then that's on you. both of you want to win it doesnt matter how. as long as he doesnt hack the game its fair and square.

I watched to 55:20. Can I say something: In my experience do not play when you are ill. It's really much worse. In such case - yea my kids, too or new people joining the country here bring lots of diseases - I always play vs cpu only, and max an hour, it's really a difference, your body and brain go on standby. And I don't know if you have someone editing your videos, but he can remove the loud noises coming from your mouth - no I don't mean the complains haha.

I mean, the tools are all there to not die to that, Artosis just played badly and so he loses. Seeing so many early lings is an obvious tell that the guy is doing something aggressive, didn't scout, the wall was garbage with 2 weak pylons in it, no batteries before the bust, the oracle was incredibly late and should've been out already to see it and start killing some banes... I could go on. Cheeses suck, and losing to them sucks, but they're only really a game design issue if you lose to it and there was just nothing you could've done differently. There was a *lot* that could've been done differently in that 2 min clip to survive that. And it's not things like just guessing the guy is cheesing and blind countering it or something silly like that, either. Just basic defensive play, better early build order, and a better wall, the kind of things you do every single game anyway, and you don't die there.
