@@sodorislandmodels6332 its sad that they instead of adding characters like bear, they insted introduced stupid new character that do almos nothing and only seen once
Seeing as how the show turned out that means that ironically, Bear, Boco, Duke, Culdee, Derek, Jock, Frank, Wilbert and many others were spared from having their characters ruined. Just imagine how cross people would be if the modern series made an episode of Culdee is being careless and falls off the mountain but instead of dying he starts flying like a rocket by shooting fire out of the mouth of his second face.
"Super Rescue" is my Favorite RWS story. They can make him in BR Blue at Ertl, but NOT bring the Hydraulic to TV?! The Irony being they used Marklin mechanisms for the models!
due to budgetary constraints, Bear's introductory story, Super Rescue, was not adapted for television. in 2015 sam wilkinson wanted to bring bear to cgi but it didn't happen
I like the idea that CoBo (D5705) joins the NWR; it would be fun to have the 2 Metropolitan Vickers diesels getting their own back on Bill & Ben:-) It would have made sense if the NWR bought some spare parts when BR scrapped the Metrovicks.
The picture of the Class 47 on the train of hopper wagons is based on Hall Lane Junction in Staveley, Derbyshire. The track was lifted here a few years ago after the closure of Markham & Bolsover collieries in the 1990s and the opencast loading point at Oxcroft was cleared in 2007.
I imagine Derek being one of the 7 Class 17s allocated to Carlisle Kingmoor in the 1960s; I like the look of these centre cab diesels and feel it's a shame they were unsuccessful. Hopefully Crovan's Gate has fixed his teething troubles:-)
In real life the Class 151s were withdrawn in 1989 but not scrapped until 2004 following years in storage. I imagine them arriving on Sodor in 1990 with CoBo arriving soon after as in real life he attended the Worksop open day in 1991 with a new coat of paint.
I think the Class 17 would mainly work on shunting / light freight traffic in the Brendam / Wellsworth / Tidmouth area with runs up the Little Western & to / from Ffarquahar on the goods traffic as well. It wouldn't be powerful enough for banking trains up Gordon's Hill following the incident at the china clay works in "Double Teething Troubles".

More about their basis here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_151 BoCo is surprised they recognise him as a Metropolitan Vickers Co-Bo as they met CoBo (D5705) at Matlock goods shed during their trial service on the mainland:-)

I like to think Class 40 could be Old Stuck Up (40125) when new as his RWS number is fictional. The real 40125's withdrawal in the 1980s could be a result of the Tidmouth crash.

Would have liked that

thats just sad lol.

Day of the diesels! Derek, Works Diesel and Mavis, very good edits all around!
Thank you 🙂
I like the idea of Mavis visiting the diesel shed; I think it fits that she could take stone trucks to the harbour sometimes.
I'd like to see Mavis go further than Ffarquhar too
Again I love your edits ❤❤❤ and your voice is still soothing. also in the daisy edit she looks cross eyed
Thanks :)

I'm sure it has!
I think "Double Teething Troubles" would take place in 1965 as Edward is absent and it would take place while he's at the Works after his Exploit.
Good idea
I Think Derek and probably salty could have worked in the RWS
I agree!

Shame there wasn’t a Deltic owned by the Earl for Rail Tours. That would've made my day. Still great edits all around.
