Do you think Bertie and Oompus would get on with each other now they're both Sodor Classic buses?

Bertie was waiting at the big station when he heard a horn behind him. He looked back and saw Oompus the Omnibus - and he wasn't pleased. "What are you doing here at this time?" Oompus demanded, "You should have left ten minutes ago!" "I can't help it," Bertie retorted, "The train's late and I have to wait for my passengers".

I like the idea of Sodor having a bus company called Sodor Classic; its buses include Bertie, Oompus the Omnibus, a Routemaster, an open-top bus, Monty the Motor coach and a Leyland / Volvo Olympian.

In my headcanon Salty is D2988 as this was the first Class 07 withdrawn by BR (in 1973). Good to see the real D2991 is still working at Eastleigh Works, not far from Southampton Docks where the Class 07s worked in BR days. I agree with you that the USA tank and Class 07 are well suited to Sodor!

"Diesel Does It Again" and "The World's Strongest Engine" don't make sense to me as Diesel (13236) would be used to harbour working as he spent most of his BR career in Hull:-)

It's a shame so many non rail vehicles in both the RWS and Tv 📺 series were never given faces, names or introduced. Many lorries, cranes, cars, trucks, tugboats, barges, canal boats, tramp steamers, steam shovels, etc. Same with all the unused background engines, wagons, coaches, mentioned characters, etc too. 😊

Maybe Duck was retrofitted with auto train push-pull equipment when the Arlesburgh line re-opened as the Fat Controller bought the auto-coaches at this time. I imagine Jinty (47287) was purchased to help rebuild Arlesburgh station & harbour after withdrawal from British Railways in 1964 and then took up pilot duties at Tidmouth in 1967 after Duck went to work on the Arlesburgh line although he still helps out at the big station & harbour from time to time.

I think Maurice the Motor (from Tootles the Taxi) could be the Fat Controller's car.

I like the idea of Belinda the Beetle in the Railway Series:-)

I think Caroline looks better in her RWS livery as I think it suits a 1920s car far better than the bright red. I also think Trevor would look better with the black smokebox as it would be easier to keep clean.

They all look very good, also, sorry if this annoys you since I sent it to you already, but I think I may have found the real Duck. I think he is no. 5717. I think that because this engine was allocated at old oak common for most of it's life and As far As I know Old Oak Common was the closest shed allocation on the western reagion to Paddington. Also, it is highly unlikely that duck has a push-pull System, because a station Pilot doesn't need one, since it only shunts in the yard, also like I said the first 50 members didn't that System at all. I hope this helps with your research with Duck. (Again, sorry if it annoys you that I sent it a second Time, I just want to help you)
