How to setup the Mustang MyColor feature.

- We are going to provide a small tutorial for the Mustang MyColor feature on the 2020 Mustang GT (“Take Two”). This tutorial should be valid for 2018+ models.
Premium Models with Seat/Mirror Memory: If you have the premium package that saves seat positions, this means it needs to be saved to the User's MyKey. Try setting the color and saving it to the memory seat setting by hitting your seat memory button.

Thanks for making that chart!!! I love the analog gauges. The digital gauges no matter the car always look cheap to me. Its like a smart watch vs. Breitling. I think we know what looks better.

Im starting to like the analog gauges more than the digital dash now.

Thats one of the main reasons why i want the early s550s, the 2015-2017. Because they never had digital gauges yet. But the Premiums only had the Advanced MyColor setups on the early s550s. I want a 2017 GT Premium 😊🥰🤭. The 2015-2017 analog gauge setups are just unique and look the best. Ford did a good job on advancing their gauges in 2015.

Thanks for the video. I was hoping we could also change the color in the center between the gauges. I have all my other lighting set to red , my EcoBoost is red, but I don't like the white lighting in between the gauges.
Wonder if the S650 Mustang has a better Mycolor Setup. See if Ford is learning.

Any idea if they have this on the ‘15-‘17 models? I would assume so because you can literally activate it on the 09’s too but I was wondering if the process is similar?
Good question. Yes, they do have a very similar feature for the pre-2018 models. In the Order Guides, Ford called it "Ambient Lighting" vs. "MyColor"

From what I recall, they do have lighting in those same areas.
I have to wait a few months till I get mine, can you program the tach to change color at shift points?
That's a good question. Sadly, there is not a program feature in the S550 for shift points. However the tachometer will turn red when it's red lined.

I just got my mustang. It’s a 2018 but it don’t have the mycolor setting. Can I add it to my car or do I have to order parts for it ?
I contacted Ford and their reply was, "Thank you for contacting Ford Motor Company. We are so sorry to inform you that there are no upgrade packages listed for the My Color feature on your Mustang. This is due to the fact that the feature is put into the instrument cluster during production, and thus there is no way to install the feature post-production."
@@mcgurrentertainment thats cap, i was able to program my base 300a 2020 gt to the 8inch radio and program drive modes. ford obviously wants you to pay more for options but its weird how even the base models can get upgraded using the same oem parts. example the radio is plug and play....

The MyColor feature is not available on Base Model GT nor Base Model Ecoboost.
I have the 2016 gt premium but I don’t have the halo. I’m so confused, I thought the halo wasn’t a thing on the s550

Based on the Ford website, the base model (300A) does not come with the MyColor Feature. This feature is available on the base model with the upgraded display (301A) and Premium models. The Mustang in the video is equipped 301A package. That's a very good question.
I just bought the 2021 GT and it has the color change mode BUT I do not see the halo option.

In your dashboard you have large digital speedometer, in my 2017 I have only digital speedometer in TEST mode, can you please tell me how you activated that?
Sadly, I've never seen that issue before. You might need to search the forums for a solution.

They are a range of preset colors from the color chart.
@@mcgurrentertainment so different from the ones in the car settings then. Like the 115 blue is different from the dark blue that it lets you pick

That's odd. Just out of curiosity, will other combinations work, e.g purple or orange?
no, the other combinations don't work, that's why I think it's the red color that fails.

Yes, but it's only available on the 2015 premium models, and it's known as Ambient Lighting.
in my Mustang when i set up the color its just temporary when i turn off the car and turn it again it comes back to default any solution for that?

No. This feature is also available on the 301A package; base model with upgraded infotainment center. Good question.
Yeah you need the updated infotainment center. Mine doesn’t have it ☹️
@@mcgurrentertainment I am so glad Ford made that an option apart from the premium package, I just wanted the infotainment and gauge upgrade, I prefer the cloth over the leather and I don't need the other stuff.
So basically if I don’t have premium package and I don’t have my color I need to upgrade to the digital dash and I’ll be able to change the color of all my gauges on the side as well?
A follow up to the previous question as well, I have my oil temp gauge as well as my vac in hg gauge as well, so let’s say I upgrade my dash to the newer model (the digital dash) I’ll be able to change the color of those gauges as well?
I've tried changing my colors but they do not save? Do you just have to set them every time you drive?

I have the 2016 eco boost premium version but for some reason on my passenger seat the lights don’t glow from under, anyone know why?
I've heard individuals having issues with the ambient lighting on the passenger side floor. Sounds like it's a minor defect.
@@mcgurrentertainmentI’ve checked under the passenger seat, there is a LED light down there but there’s a cover covering the light. I’m not sure if it’ll effect it if I take off the cover for the light to show

Ok, it's very likely you have the 100A package; the base model ecoboost. Mustangs can have the performance package installed on the base models. To have the MyColor feature, you would need the premium package (200A or 201A package). The (typical) easy to distinguish between base model and premium would be the seats; premium has leather and base has cloth.
