  • I am reviewing the fixture s2 hand held grip for the switch oled. This grip was highly recommended by most but personally I feel like it falls short. In this video I highlight why I believe you should be cautious before making this purchase. My job is to keep it real. Although, I do believe the grip is cool and innovative it is also not perfect. I did not feel like I got the entire story when seeing other reviews. Hopefully this will help you understand a little bit more before shelling out the $$$ to purchase this product.
    This is where I purchase the grip

    Pretend I'm somone who gave the Switch Pro a 10/10.
    The Switch tablet is too heavy for this to work. If you put it to far back its top heavy (wanting to fall backward) and if you move it forward it's too bottom heavy (wanting to fall forward).
    Maybe it's because I have the competitor one with the ball joint but idk. I would love for this idea to work.

    You're not suposed to play with the screen adjusted like that, its suposed to be over your hands so the weight is not pulling your wrist, and that makes it easier to set down. This is a bit misleading

      I have the other competitors product with a ball joint and I noticed that basically if you move the tablet over the controller it becomes bottom heavily and falls forward instead of backwards and the sweet spot in the middle is too small so you end up moving your hands a lot to stop it from falling one way or another.

    Very fair review. 49 bucks for a piece of plastic without any circuits is just ridiculous. Good job bro!

    This is the best and most honest review of this product lol. Thank you for making this and doing it for the people like me who have heard all the rave reviews but not many of the cons.

    I been a collector of these type devices and grips but at the end of the day I have never seen a better product for handheld use than the RETROFLAG. it has all the features I really care for, product is sturdy and feels premium, cost the same as this simple grip and has hall sensor controllers for it. you only miss out on amiibo support but it's by far the best one out there.

      @joe6831 Joe6831 I have the split pad pro 1, Nyxi joy cons and wizard, RetroFlag, the Satisfied Grip and the fixture (which scratched my controller so HELL NO) it's in the trash now. for pro controllers I have the Official Nintendo Switch pro and the 8bit classic and Ultimate pro controller which I really really like. out of all the best one for handheld is the RetroFlag by a mile and a half and both pro controllers are really solid, only use the classic one for SNES and Nes.

      @joe6831 Joe6831 not at all, the system runs fine! I have the Nintendo Switch oled and have no issue with overheating, the controller has vents on the back too... I haven't done a full battery 100% run on it, but Zelda comes next week so might be the best chance to test it... my only gripe is the little square that pops from the bottom (USB C) other than that it's been my daily driver for the past months. buttons and triggers feel just like the pro controller, it has hall sensor to prevent drift and rumble. lacks NFC and some might have issue with the C stick but for me, it's close to a perfect handheld option. sorry for the Essay.

      You like the retro flag more than the binboks?

      @@ShineSpriteGamer i have the nyxi which is almost the same if not exactly the same but i always go back to the retroflag. i think the controller’s triggers, buttons and sticks are by far thr best/premium feel out of the 3rd party controllers out there.

    What’s up boss, love the video. Just bought the unit and am finding it pretty heavy in hand. I saw another comment about trying to adjust the angles to I’m doing that now. Were you able to find a more comfortable angle that didn’t feel so heavy?

    • @Neanebk
      @Neanebk  Год назад

      Appreciate it! It’s a bit hard to explain but if you are sitting upright I find it’s most comfortable if the screen is slightly over the controller. That’s when it seems to have the best balance and weight isn’t too bad

      Got it and yes this is what I’ve found also. It’s still feels a bit heavy to me but maybe I still need to play around with it more. Thanks!

    I have this Fixture S2 and I dissagree your negatif points. The weight and physics? yeah it adds some but do you play the switch on your side or like you're laying in your couch even with regular switch you wont hold it very long. When I sit in the couch every position does work for me. I have the case and it can stand drops and wear. It is and feels premium, it better than the official bags. I play this at home, on the train, ... on vaaction everywhere. ALso placing it down, my kids (7y.) play with it and it can withstand putting it down like your would regular put down your switch. I dont know how hard you drop your switch but if you drop it hard even a regular switch would be damaged. So I would recommend this for 50 bucks. Please people don't follow this review, it's worth it and play very well.

    I just purchased this product on Amazon an hour ago. I liked your review, so I have a question which could determine if I should cancel my purchase: Do you use it often? That's it, because if you do, that's a pro. I get that $45 does sting a bit. Even if I was the inventor, I would have placed it to be $30..maybe $35. Because like you said, where is the $45 going towards? At the very least, where's that $15 extra bucks I'm shelling out for this? You know that JoyCon Grip Controller thing that comes with the Switch, is that worth $45? I don't think so.
    I think the reason you and I bought this thing is because we hate the JoyCons that much.

    • @Neanebk
      @Neanebk  Год назад +1

      It’s a good point. I do use it a lot. It’s 100% more comfortable than the joycons. I definitely don’t regret the purchase and I’ve gotten great use out of it.

      45 is a price tag but I have bought so many types of these clip for 20 bucks. After a month of two those clips ran out of strength so I stand loose. With the fixture after a year of many changing positions I can tell this is the way if you want to play with your pro controller. Definitely worth the purchase.

      @@rubencamps6689 I'm two months in using it and I love it. I've removed it off of my pro controller maybe 2-3 times and that's it
