So glad I went with Skull & Co, mostly for it's versatility. I have had no problems docking it for the fact that I don't even use the factory dock. I purchased dock kit that allows you to take the internals of the factory dock and put them in the new dock so that the switch just sits right on top of it.
For skull & co - You can also combine the medium and large grips for a more asymmetrical set up since the joy sticks on the joycons are placed on different places.
I have heard reports of the screws on the skull and co backing out and marring the back of the switch. Anyone have any first hand experience with this? I’ve been curious about the grip as I’ve only used the Satisfye grips for both my launch and OLED switch. Love the grip but I’m curious about the skull and co, as well.
I ordered a Skull & Co I have had some REALLY bad experience with Satisfye, after months of waiting for my grip and multiple promised delivery dates I cut the cord with Satisfye. Skull & Co has better color options and I'm a big fan of modular systems. Thanks for the break down!
A year late, but I feel the same way about Satisfye. I bought a grip from them, took 2 weeks to ship, it got lost in transit. They basically just said screw you, file a claim with the shipping company. I'll never do business with a company with policies like that.
You just saved me at least $20 USD. I've been binging your videos all morning, and, as a newly-minted OLED Switch owner, I wanted to measure twice and cut once with all accessories. Skull & Co. ALL THE WAY for me. Thanks, mate, truly. Earned my sub.
I just dont want grip pieces off and on. I want a solid constructed undetachable product I've never used a grip with my regular switch and just got an OLED and was just juggling with the idea
I just ordered the skull and co zelda tears of kingdom grip to go with the Zelda switch. Any of you know a closer estimated arrival for the grip. It said 7-14 days, surely it doesn’t actually take 2 weeks. Im beyond excited and can’t wait 😂
What makes me favor the Satisfy grip is the build and the quality. Especially the fact that the build protects my joy cons from the stress my own hands and fingers would otherwise place on them. It supports the console and controllers perfectly. Finally, I don't like any moving parts because they inevitably wear out. Thank you for your great video.
Thx. The Neogrip bundle with your discount was $43 while the Satisfye bundle was $79. No brainer for me, plus I want to try the different variation of grips. Only thing better Satisfye had to offer was free expedited shipping.
I have the Neogrip for the same reason, I do wish the build quality is bit better on the exchangeable grips, like add something you can grip better like silicone.
I've been looking for a video comparing these so I'm so glad you did this! i have the satisfye for my lite but I think I'm going to get the neo grip for my OLED when I get it because I will be switching between handheld and docked play quite a lot
My youngest recently got a switch OLED... we got an extra wireless controller that is similar to the pro controller, and I like that one.... but, I simply cannot play with the joycons in handheld mode, or with them slid onto the little holder that makes them like a separate controller... the joycons are just to cramped and the joysticks and buttons aren't placed in a way that theyre easy to get to. I'm not a tall person so i have fairly small hamds for a guy, i cant imagine a larger person with big hands using the joycons.... I have been looking at these grips, but I am really leaning towards the split pad type of "joycons" for handheld mode... Any input or advice on the split pad compact, or similar style controllers...?
I switched the right grip to the largest grip on my Skull and Co and it is more comfortable. Thank you for the tip. You just made my hand held gaming experience much better.
Neogrip!! I hate the tabs or stand on the Satifye, making the switch sit upright. You can’t adjust the angle. Also it feels so much better taking up so much space. I guess if you have huge hands you might love it. I think Neogrip has great build quality
From a long time Hori split pad user, I decided to order both of these grips. I have tried Satisfye since last week while waiting for the Skull&Co to arrived (expecting tomorrow). So far I somehow understand the uncomfortable asymmetric of Satisfye you said. I only play in handheld so grip/comfortable is the must have.
Versatility didn’t make sense to me because the reason you would have the grip on is so it’s more comfortable, taking off the grip part of the s&c is basically just taking the sat grip off and playing normal. And Ana Edith the kickstand, you don’t need access to the kickstand if your playing handheld which is why you have the grip on. It would make send to throw a grip on to play tabletop mode. Same applies for docking it. I think sat is a winner for sure
I own both and I have to give it to the Satisfye grip. The build feel's so much better. I love the look and colour of the neogrip but it just feels cheap and I don't know if its only mine but it fits sloppy on my switch. Both are decent and it really comes down to what works best for you at the end of the day.
Do you have the switch oled or the regular switch? I wanna know how the satisye fits on the regular switch since it’s more built for the oled size. Is it still a tight fit? Does it work with skins or thin protective cases for added protection?
@@matthewbitter532 I have the Oled model. As the the satisfye grip there is a model that fits on the normal switch and I would assume it's a tight fight just like on the oled model.
If you have the means, I'd say definitely get both. Satisfye is a better build obviously. But for travel, that skull & co edc case is the best. I can stash larger grips almost anywhere in my bag to swap out
I just got the new Zelda switch and since both companies here have a matching grip I decided to get both and see which one I like more I’m used to satisfye but we’ll see
I like my Satisfye grip. To be fair, though, while I did do "research" by watching video, it's not like I ever did an in hand comparison. On the other hand, I've never been unhappy about the purchase. I'm not really fussed about leaving the grip in the slim case when it's docked, and inserting and removing it for one off sessions. But if you know you'd be annoyed by that or don't mostly use it docked, or would want to be able to use the kickstand, it's not for you. Comfort in hand and build quality were my most important criteria.
Great video! Thanks! I have a question. Does the skull co grip work with the hori zelda dpad joycon? (The hori zelda joycon have a wierd bump on the back button. The button used for detaching the joycon from the switch...) Please does anyone have the answer to this?
bought a neogrip after using satisfye gen 1 for years. (Had to throwaway my satisfye after the rubber grips started smudging black stuff on my hands. Probably due to years of heavy use and throwing it into my backpack with no carrying case) The satisfye is much more premium and it feels like one solid unit when attached to the switch. The neogrip ergonomics is probably a good cheap alternative to satisfye which costs 2 to 3 times more. I recommend satisfye if you have money to burn. Neogrip if you have small hands.
@@linkintominecraft1 I can’t remember what the estimated shipping time was, but I’ve just checked and it only took 9 days, which is pretty quick considering it came all the way from Hong Kong!
Thank you for the break down, I really appreciate how indepth you went. I personally will be trying the satisfye. I think it's ganna fit what I'm wanting in a hand held grip
I bought both. I got the skull n co first but no matter what triggers I used I couldn’t seem to get a good enough grip on it. Because of the triggers being made of plastic I always felt like the switch was going to slip out of my hands. But with the satisfye since it has a rubbery texture on the back of their grip I never feel like it’s going to slip away. But both are real well made products.
I bought the Skull and co after watching reviews ( didn’t see yours). While I was waiting and waiting for my shipment since I ordered directly from the company ( none available on Amazon), I had then seen reviews on Satisfye grips. It took over a month to arrive. I received one email about the great expense they were making to get shipments in. I was shocked at this delay since my order said 2 day shipping. Then after completing the order, 4 days. Well my grip finally arrived and I hate it. It’s super bulky for my smaller hands and the very upright stand is not useful. I sold my skull and co and regret it. I’m going to reorder another and sell the Satisfye.
I'd say get the NeoGrip first and see if it's comfortable for you and if not go for the Satisfye. I have the older Skull & Co clear case and the Satisfye. For my hands I find the Satisfye more comfortable. However I love being able to dock my clear case, and with this new NeoGrip it seems like the kickstand, *possible* docking, and flexibility is worth it over the Satisfye. Not wasting a lot of money to get both and you can always return the one that isn't as comfortable.
Thank you for a thorough review! I ordered a neogrip for my new OLED switch. :) Do you have an update on whether Switch gets scratched after long time use? I bought the limited edition Zelda Switch OLED and really don't want it to get scratched, but I also don't want painful wrists..
What about the oivo Switch grip? I used one for my normal Switch and think about buying one for my new OLED Switch. The OIVO grip was Always in comparison Videos for the regular Switch. In the OLED videos it rarely gets mentioned
I've been looking through countless videos about this as I'm moving over to the OLED version, and (of course) my old grip from the old Switch won't fit; so I need something new. Looking at the Satisfye, there's nothing with the smaller case from Amazon or the like (I'm in Ireland here) and to get it from the US will cost a small fortune - And I'm not sure if I'd get stung for customs either. So for about 30 quid for the Skull and Co is a no-brainer :)
I only have the Neogrip (based on your original video btw, so thanks). After watching this, I still prefer the Neogrip. Versatility is good as you mentioned. Also, while I ergonomic design of the satisfye is great, that long case just won't fit in my places. I carry my max carry case in my every day carry bag. it barely fits, but it goes. The Satisfye case would not fit. There is no way. Makes it an easy decision for me.
Right now I'm using a 10 dollar Chinese brand called HeyStop, and it's pretty nice, which is surprising. It only gets uncomfortable when I'm playing a game that requires heavy use of the right thumbstick, and right now I'm really into Ghostrunner, so it's been a cramp on my hands. I've used the satisfye grip in the past, but I find it to be a bit on the bulky side. The skull and co grip looks slimmer, so I'm giving that a shot next. This video helped me come to that decision, so thumbs up.
Thank you for the excellent review! Of the two grips (Skull & Co Vs Satisfye) what grip would you recommend for people who love playing fighter games? Example, Mortal Kombat 11. I changed out my left joy-con to include the D-pad. The D-pad is easier to use for the special moves in the fighting games.
I own both. go with skull and co. the satisfye is not as comfortable, and designed more for shooters. you get more comfort with skull and versatility because you can swap grips.
Awesome detailed close look at both grips. Both are really great. I personally prefer the Satisfye for one reason: Comfort. The ZenGrip just works best with my hands and playstyle. Can't really go wrong either way. Tough choice but hopefully this video will help someone decide or just get both!
hey man, there are rumors that in the long run, the joycons are getting loose when you remove it on the Satisfye grip due to the tight fit of the console, is this true?
Does the neogrip work with the regular nintendo switch as w.... wait. U literally answered the question I was in the middle of typing during your video. Lol. Thx!
Ugh one thing drives me nuts is I loved skull & co for my original switch cus it covered whole switch but seen as how the oled one is only clear those things get nasty or you have this grip…. I’m left so undecided what get my new oled 😭
how was the scratches? are there any visible scratchss between the two grips? I also saw some of the other videos the foam from the side of the skull and co is getting removed in the long run since it seems like it's only being glued unlike the satisfye rubber pads.
I think the Satisfye might be worth it for people who buy a limited-edition Switch and really don't want anything to get scratched. But, I will probably prefer the dockability of the S&C
I had the Satisfy normal grip for the original switch. 35€ (with slim case). I was really happy. Then I wanted to buy Satisfy for the Oled. 105€ (Amazon). Absolutely NOT. Had to go for Skull and Co. Let's see if I'm gonna be similarly satisfied :)
If the Satisfye was dockable, it'd be a no-brainer. But the fact that you have to take it off everytime, wearing down the sides because of the rubber grips, it's hard to justify.
I can’t stand slippery grips. That’s been the biggest problem with aftermarket switch grips/larger joy con options and the Skull and Co. The Satisfye grip wins for me because of this, the rubberized backside of the grip is really the best feature. I HATE slippery plastic…
satisfye workers tend to lie and say bad things about the competition, both on RUclips and Amazon reviews. I've had the first skull grip, and it was good, but not as good as the zengrip. the neogrip though is the best overall in comfort. the case also can store the official Nintendo charger. Only thing I believe the satisfye is better at is that the grips have a rubbery feel. it's more robust, but that doesn't matter unless you plan on twisting your switch, which neither grip is very good at doing, unless you buy a heavy metal one.
I'll have to import the skull n co from Japan and it'll end up costing twice of what it is, I can get the mumba for a little bit cheaper but Jesus that case is hideous imo
Satisfye hands down. It’s simply more comfortable. The ergonomics and quality rubber of it are preferable to the absolutely amazing side effect of Skull n Co being dockable.
@@Obozo_Gaming I just decided to get the hori split pad pro and a carrying case. About 60-70 but atleast it’s worth it since you’re getting some tech for the price not just plastic grip

Definitely Skull & Co.
Ugh one thing drives me nuts is I loved skull & co for my original switch cus it covered whole switch but seen as how the oled one is only clear those things get nasty or you have this grip…. I’m left so undecided what get my new oled 😭
Should I let him know in the comments below?
Neo grip was really hard to put on my switch oled
It leaves Mark's on your switch and joys.
@@WavyVaporizers wait the zen grip isn’t good at all then? I mixed them up. I got the neogrip but it was quite hard putting on it my switch oled
how was the scratches? are there any visible scratchss between the two grips? I also saw some of the other videos the foam from the side of the skull and co is getting removed in the long run since it seems like it's only being glued unlike the satisfye rubber pads.
Ive had no problems with mine. I do however use the purple NGC one now and that has different pads on the side.
@@CTAtechdesk the purple ones have better pads?
I think the Satisfye might be worth it for people who buy a limited-edition Switch and really don't want anything to get scratched. But, I will probably prefer the dockability of the S&C
I had the Satisfy normal grip for the original switch. 35€ (with slim case). I was really happy.
Then I wanted to buy Satisfy for the Oled. 105€ (Amazon). Absolutely NOT.
Had to go for Skull and Co. Let's see if I'm gonna be similarly satisfied :)
Hope you were
If the Satisfye was dockable, it'd be a no-brainer. But the fact that you have to take it off everytime, wearing down the sides because of the rubber grips, it's hard to justify.
You just guaranteed I wont get satisfied 😭
I love the satisfy grip but you are still stuck using the fiddly little joycons
Versatility and price👍 great video.
I prefer skull and co more because it looks mors sleek. Though I like the skull and co oled crystal case more, that is what I have.
pretty much the same answer as the v2 version
interesting to note that the oled gripcase is less tailored to 2d games than the v2 version
I can’t stand slippery grips. That’s been the biggest problem with aftermarket switch grips/larger joy con options and the Skull and Co. The Satisfye grip wins for me because of this, the rubberized backside of the grip is really the best feature. I HATE slippery plastic…
I have the Skull&Co first gen case. I really dont want to part with it. Its so comfy.
Skull & Co for cost and versatility
Thanks. I choose dockability
SKULL THE BEST!!
satisfye workers tend to lie and say bad things about the competition, both on RUclips and Amazon reviews.
I just got my switch 2 weeks ago and ordered the Skull and co grip as it was cheapest. Also I know this video is 2 years old lol.
Still a brilliant addition to the switch 👍🏻
Skull and Co. Value proposition alone is outstanding. Satisfye are just too way expensive, for essentially the same functionality.
Team skull & co!
im still using my gen 2 on my oled
I'll have to import the skull n co from Japan and it'll end up costing twice of what it is, I can get the mumba for a little bit cheaper but Jesus that case is hideous imo
Satisfye hands down. It’s simply more comfortable. The ergonomics and quality rubber of it are preferable to the absolutely amazing side effect of Skull n Co being dockable.
Should of the crystal grip aswell
The crystal is completely different to the Satisfye. I did compare the crystal and the Neogrip recently.
a big no no for the zengrip, you must remove it when you want to play on docked mode.
Un sinónimo de nintendo switch es versatilidad y Skull & Co. Cubre esa característica.
Went with the satisfye
Satisfy if too big for my med hands
Skull&Co by far
NeoGrip
Skull&Co because Satisfye is expensive af.
💀& co 4ever
Skull & co definitely... the other one is over priced.
Can’t believe it used to be $50 for satisfye with slim case and now it’s $70
@@PochisMovies The bundle is $89.99, at time of writing this, on Amazon.
@@Obozo_Gaming their prices are ridiculous for what you get
@@PochisMovies For sure. Like I get it, their grips and carrying cases are nice. But almost a hundred dollars good?
@@Obozo_Gaming I just decided to get the hori split pad pro and a carrying case. About 60-70 but atleast it’s worth it since you’re getting some tech for the price not just plastic grip
It’s Satisfye for me: The Skull & Co Is not comfortable to me and the build quality Seems like something off Wish.
