    Oh my gosh! Thank you SOOOOOOO MUCH!! I’ve been looking everywhere for someone to give me examples of what an under watered succulent looks like! I’m new to this and love succulents. But I’ve overwatered like 3 now and I’m paranoid of root rot. But I have a couple that are as you describe with being under watered so now I feel I can water them! Lol!! Thank you so much!!!

    Subscriber here and love your most informative channel. I haven't had any succulents for quite a while now and now have a jade and echeveria(Perle von Nernburg) that I overwatered by accident. They both protested by dropping leaves(petals) and I used the opportunity to use the fallen petals for propogation. I followed instructions on your or some other video I watched(there are a plethora of them!) to propogate the echeveria. I have one in particular from the echeveria that has grown its pink roots. I put it into soil in a cup I made from a clear plastic water cup, punched some holes in the bottom, watered it and I'm watching it take off on its own. Great channel and I love your enthusiam!

    I honestly don't know what each variety SHOULD look like. Unless they have leaves falling off and the stems become rotted, they all look sort of alive to me. Lol. Thanks for this. One of my babies is apparently underwatered.

    I live in Michigan. It’s COLD here in the winter!!!! During the summer I planted my succs together in pots and put them outside. They FLOURISHED! They grew to be soooo big and I got lots of babies! When it began getting colder I brought them in and repotted some of them. I have them all in my south facing window to o Tao the most light but many of them are losing bottom leaves. It’s been about 6 weeks since I repotted them. I’m not sure if I’m under or over watering them, OR if they just need more light or warmth? I thought about getting some grow lights to clamp over head but idk if that’s necessary? Please please help! Any suggestions?!

    Hello, would like to know if there's any chance of root rot (over watering), if I wait to for the soil to be completely dry before I water again. Some people seem to say that in winter some succulents/cacti don't need watering because they're "resting", I have a tendency to water my succulents if the soil is completely dry, even if that means that I need to water them once a week...am I wrong in doing this ? Thanks

    • @AngelsGrove
      @AngelsGrove  5 лет назад +1

      Rosy 7 I water through out the winter. They are probably right in that they don’t need as much water, but I would still give them water. You just have to be sure the soil can dry fast enough as it dries slower indoors. Water less and build up from there. Better to underwater than overwater!

    I've just started my succulent obsession a few months ago and turns out I've been overwatering this whole time!!! I am wondering if you prefer natural light or grow lights? I've had mine in a window getting plenty of indirect sunlight but I don't know if I should invest in a grow light? If I do get a grow light should I remove them from the window and ONLY use the grow light?? How does this work?

    • @AngelsGrove
      @AngelsGrove  5 лет назад

      If you have a bright window and they aren't stretching, you can keep them there! If you notice the leaves separating in height, then you might want to get a grow light.

  • @k.e.M_
    @k.e.M_ 6 лет назад +1

    So how often do you water them then? I don’t think you mentioned that

    • @AngelsGrove
      @AngelsGrove  6 лет назад +2

      I know this isn't the answer you want but how often is dependent on the environment of the succulent. For me personally, I water every 1-2 weeks, depending on when I remember :) But my succulents are also under grow lights all day long. For outdoor succulents, you might water more often since they are getting the heat too. So I would go off of when your soil completely drys out and then water give them a good soaking. Hope that helps :)

    • @AngelsGrove

      You are probably going to have to cut off the good part from the bad and propagate the cutting. Once it has rotted, there isn’t a reverse

    I have the exact same succulent like the second one you showed. It is winter here now and I planted it just before winter and I am really worried , because its leave are even more shrivelled than yours. It is my favourite and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. The rest of the succulents' leaves that I planted at that same time, are also a bit shrivelled, but I am most concerned about this one. Do maybe have any suggestions on what I could be doing wrong, because I have been watering all of those newly planted succulents once a week for at least the past 3 weeks. It also get a lot of sun; probably the whole day.

      @@AngelsGrove I've gone to succulents, recently my Rose's went completely south. From what I've read I believe they got rose rosette disease, I'm actually pretty hurt ): succulents seem to need care but not as much as Rose's 😏...I live in AZ and we have lots of sun are succulents able to handle full sunlight & if they are outdoors do you cover them in the cold ?🤔😊 thank you soo much for responding. My mother passed away a couple years ago and left me with some plants so I have no choice but to grow a green thumb and I dont wanna toot my own whistle but I'm pretty good at it and by having these videos you've helped me educate so I appreciate it.

    • @AngelsGrove
      @AngelsGrove  5 лет назад

      I agree roses are difficult! I applied to grad school in AZ off of the only fact that I could grow succulents outside, lol. Instead I chose MN where you are in snowpocalypse for like 10 months of the year lol. So succulents should do great outside, if temperatures are reaching around 40 you may want to consider covering them or bringing them in. I haven't lived somewhere where I have been able to let them grow outside all year long. But from the AZ people I know, I'm pretty sure they let them do their thing!
