What really happened in Pepa's wedding: "There wasn't a cloud in the sky" meaning it was a really hot day. Pepa might have been so focused on preparing for the wedding and all that she didn't consider making the temperature cooler. The weather being hot supports Bruno's claim that she was really sweating that day and probably made a metaphor of it saying that it "looks like rain." Pepa, misinterpreting this as one of Bruno's vision, becomes worried thus affecting the weather in a bad way and as the wedding progressed the hurricane was produced. It's funny how Bruno was blamed for the hurricane when her Gift is the ability to control the weather 😅
It wasn't because of the hot weather. She was sweating because she was so nervous about the wedding. Bruno noticed her being nervous and he knows it affects the weather so he joked "It looks like rain", which Pepa took as a unavoidable prophecy, got even more nervous and caused a hurricane.
Or Pepa thought in a wedding you're not supposed to cry, so she kept the weather as dry as possible, until Bruno basically said it's okay to cry tears of joy and the metaphorical floodgates and the not metaphorical floodgates opened.

Héctor (Coco) and Bruno (Encanto) both are family members of the main protagonist, as they both aid the kid protagonist, help restore the family together, as they both were misunderstood by both of their families, as being the scapegoat for all the bad things happening, as both movies have a Abuela character, that was quite hostile to both men at first, as the abuelas, and the rest of the family all then realize, that both of the characters, shouldn’t be pushed outside from the family, because of their life’s choices, similarities are shared in both Coco and Encanto, and it was honestly, a great movie, despite what people have said. There is only one thing I hate about the movie… Bruno is a very intelligent man and has a VERY amazing gift, but he is a very under appreciated member of the family with both the family and the townspeople, and whenever someone asks home to look into their future he does and if they don’t like the results they assume he is the one controlling it. So when Abuela asks him to see what would happen to casita, he saw the future but he knew that if he told anyone they would blame HIM for everything that would happen when it isn’t his fault. You would think that after he left people would hear about it and feel bad about their behavior and understand how he was feeling, but no they still continue to talk shit about him, including his family who should know better. Otherwise it’s a great movie, I just wish he would have received countless apologies instead of having to give them himself.
I don't think he left because he would be blamed for the Casita breaking and the magic disappearing. He wasn't sure if Mirabel was going to save the magic or destroy it and since everyone assumes the worst of his prophecies they would all think Mirabel was going to destroy the magic. It was more about protecting her.
