I just want everybody to take a moment to appreciate this scene. Bruno's change in his voice really impressed me when I first watched the movie, because he was literally so determined to protect his niece, that she was ready to even argue with Abuela. Because of his character that's impressive, because in case you didn't know, in the deleted scenes, he actually does have a fight with Abuela, saying that he wishes he was dead, but the creators said Bruno's character wouldn't have the courage to fight with Abuela, that's why they deleted the scene. He was not ready to face Abuela, because of how scared he was of her. Even Mirabel mentioned it "You're scared Abuela will see you, right?". So for him to make such a big step JUST to protect his niece is one of the most wholesome things I saw in the movie.
Bruno deserves "The World's Greatest Uncle" award in this scene alone.

This poor man. He doesn’t make the future, he just sees it. He’s so sweet and gentle. The way he says sorry to Mirabel when he raises his voice. His little social quirks because he’s lived in the walls for so long, but never left his family. 😭😭 Disney did so great when writing his character.
Right. The fact that no one ever consoled him and thought about the burden he carried, always seeing the future and seeing something bad happen. I don't think people see the severity of the situation simply because the family made amends with him, but he felt forced too isolate himself within the walls, for OVER A DECADE. The birthdays he missed, the conversations, the family dinners. All because people couldn't grasp the fact that he's not MAKING things happen, he's just seeing them. And after he was gone no one even felt bad, they continued to treat him like a disease. It's just terrible, and he's owed a huge apology.

“I’M THE CONDUCTOR OF THE POOP TRAIN!!”
The world doesn’t deserve Bruno, but Bruno deserves the world. The love he has for his family is so pure he gave up everything to save the miracle.
Me who has yet to see this and has watched luca: SILENCIO BRUNO!

@@petervagvolgyi9084 Oh come on man. You could have least given us a video on what god says about visions.
I love how Bruno is one of the sweetest characters, and he kind of reminds me of my Uncle who let me play on the Xbox with him when I was 6, (back in 2007) and would have fun playing, It lasted only a while until he left my aunt.
Hes not a twist villain he's a twist hero. I'm here for it
I completely agree lmao
Yaaaa
Especially with all of the green!! Disney has a history of making their villains have neon green powers.
Like in moana?
If anything Abuella is the twist villain. (Though not on purpose, she just puts too much trust on, "If you do good things, then nothing bad can happen to you")
This movie needs a Slice of Life spin off series... Or just a sequel.
Yess they should totally make a slice of life
Fr, like can we get a big hero 6/ Tangled series, but Encanto?! I’m begging Disney
Kinda like a bunch of siblings singing about their angst
at least a short
a sequel were the grandmom kills everyone in the town, revives them, gets a new merical of a 3rd chance, and meriabel becomes an imortal demon after the grandmom blames her
1:50 is so pure how he says MIRABEL and then he starts apologizing 🥺
You mean 2:11 ?🥺❤❤
I love Mirabels shining eyes at him when he arrives on horse to take the blame for her. Poor girl really had no one stick up for her before. 🥺
Bruno is the most heroic character ever, he has never stopped to think about himself, he's always putting his family first even when he felt they didn't welcome him… the fact that he came up to take the blame for mirabel at the end was so touching
Like Isabela she's not really perfect, she just does everything that they think is perfect.
I saw this exact comment on awe dont talk about bruno video 😭😭😭
@@cheesy_yeety help are we doing the same thing at the same time 😭 i literally just watched that video before this one and saw the same comment 😭😭

I read this just as “I’m Jorge and I make the spackle.”
Bruno is the sweetest and precious person Disney ever made. ❤️ The moment he said, "I'm Ernando and I'm scared of nothing!" I bursted out laughing and loved him ever since. ❤️
Do y'all notice how he does all the things that are kinda known as "good luck" odems so he doesn't have any bad visions like crossing his fingers and the knock on wood he is so adorable 🥰💙
Also the thing he says as he's minding his steps across the floorboards- I can't tell what he's saying but others say it's something nice you say to your house to help it feel better
I just realized that Dolores associates the sound of falling sand to him in "We Don't Talk About Bruno" is because he whips sugar and salt around everywhere
he also has to pour sand on the ground to create a vision though, + his tower has lots of sand in it
@@arttrixmix7178 he hasn't used his ability since Mirabel was 5, also when she described the sound it's chhh...chhh and not a constant down pour of sound.
Sands of time 😎
It can mean either way, considering Dolores is six years older than Mirabel. Shed have been 11 during the gift giving for Mirabel. Could also mean stories shes heard, or the current sounds of salt (since she still hears him muttering).
Its be cute if there was a scene of someone asking to pass the salt and the salt shaker was empty tbh.
You're right!!! I love that!!!!
I can't get over how Camilo's whole part in we don't talk about bruno was about how terrifying this guy is and his "seven foot frame" then we meet him and he's a tiny ball of pure anxiety
He’s shorter than his sisters lol
I think Camilo remembers him as "7 feet tall" and scary because the last time Camilo saw him, Camilo was a very small young child. So it would make sense for him think of him as huge and to a little kid the weird uncle with pet rats and all might seem frightening even if he is a great guy.
@@lycadia oh yeah definitely, but i just found it utterly hilarious cuz while watching the movie i was expecting someone super sinister but instead we got a cute bean
@Tin Watchman He a little feisty sometimes
I mean he wasn’t even born lol,he’s 15 like Mirabel
Poor Bruno. It's not his fault. Sometimes people blame the messenger when they don't like the message.
He reminds me of Sirius Black, everyone thinks he’s bad but he’s not. He’s the cool uncle
Bruno is the most selfless of the Madrigals. He separated himself from his family and tarnished his own reputation in their heads to protect Mirabel. He thinks he's bad luck because of how the family antagonizes him; because he would sooner hold contempt for himself than hold his family accountable. He sealed a bunch of the cracks himself in a desperate attempt to preserve a life he could never truly be a part of . . . . for them. When he thought Abuela would blame Mirabel for the house collapsing his first thought was to take all the blame for her. When he met his family again his first thought was to apologize for everything, even for things that weren't really his fault.
He's selfless to a point where it's very damaging, but it's also very endearing.
Couldn't agree more! This man really needs some love, gratitude, and validation. He tried his best with everything they need to cut him some slack
hope he will be treated better from here on
Bruno- “I don’t care what you think of me! But if you’re too stubborn to [I’ll finish his sentence from here]: see Mirabel’s love for this family then you got another thing coming”
Bruno is a Jinx.
Woulda given that man's that tightest hug ever if I could
That's not really that unusual from a psychological standpoint. Some people, people with a lot of empathy for others, also have very low opinions of themselves. Hurt them, they'll just hide it inside because they feel they somehow deserve it... but hurt someone or something that they care deeply about, and they'll move mountains to protect what they hold dear. That's Bruno to a T.
It's SO nice to see a Disney character that's a little weird like this, he's been a character I relate to so much because of that.
+ he isn't a villain, which is great
Honestly same 😅
@@thekansou7 There is no villain in this movie, it's refreshing.
@@Kenkenny82 abuela was definitely the closest thing though.
Yeah i completely agree
why is no one talking abt how adorable his lil “knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock on wood” is??🥰🥰

I love him so much I wish I had an uncle like him
Bruno is the best character in Encanto. Every character that hated and mistrusted Bruno, screw them.
Makes you rethink your perspective on some people huh?
@@LuigiBros97 exactly, and they never properly apologized to him
he even apologized for ACCIDENTALLY raising his voice when he said “MIRABEL”
And all because he's watching his neice go through similar stuff he and his siblings went through. He raises his voice for a moment to snap her out of being angry because he's scared for her to lose her siblings the way he feels he lost his. He's a wonderful uncle
@@austinwitham109 For real
Yeah, it's sad how "sorry" has basically become a verbal tic for him, he says it so often that it's now something he more or less says out of habit and because he's developed a sort of guilt complex. Sadly that is not uncommon in victims of abuse or even bullying. Victims of abuse/bullying develop a habit of apologizing a lot because they hope to appease the other person and/or because they genuinely feel guilty for even the slightest "offenses". I also have a habit of apologizing too much, to the point where people will point it out and tell me not to apologize. It's a hard habit to break though, sometimes it just slips out without me even really thinking. And I do feel genuinely bad anytime I say or do something that I perceive as being wrong or rude. The only exception to this rule is when I'm really angry, but even then I feel bad afterwards about the things I said.
Camilo: Bruno is evil!
Bruno:
@@PiePierrot I do that too, though I've never been bullied in my life. I remember my stepmother telling me one time that I should stop saying sorry so much and I proceeded to immediately illustrate that I was a lost cause. Went something like this:
"Yeah... Sorry. [idiot pause] _Sorry_ . SORRY! [hand over mouth]" lol.
Such a cutie pie! 🥰😍😘 and after this movie, everyone talks only about Bruno! ❤
I think the most heart warming moment when Julieta and Peppa saw Bruno and they didn't think " Oh damn, it's Bruno the black sheep" they only saw that Bruno, their brother, has finally come home.

Not even Abuela:

John Leguizamo did not play the greatest ever cinematic portrayal of Verona's most powerful homosexual, Tybalt, to just be dismissed as "Sid the sloth". He brought all the emotions to this role.
Not to mention he deserves credit for physically wrestling Lin Manuel Miranda out of the recording booth to do this work.

The moment when Bruno comes home all afraid and his sisters are just so overjoyed to see him again. 100% makes me cry
You'll also notice that Bruno tries to wave hi to his sisters before they hug him. Bruno is the character I relate to most so I understand that feel.
He was at first shy for a family reunion
I get why julietta would be happy to see bruno since she is the sweetest of the madrigals but i thought pepa hated her brother. She spent much of the movie refusing to even talk about him and complains that he ruined her wedding
They become three again
@@finnheisenheim8274 well keep in mind she hasn’t seen him in so long. And Abuela even made it sound like he left the family on his own Will making him out to be the bad guy. I don’t think Pepa really thought he was a bad guy but it’s easier to assume and say someone is bad if you never see them and weren’t expecting to. Like Bruno said, it’s easy to blame him for things going wrong. Seeing him in front of her, Pepa probably realized how petty she was being about her wedding. He is family and I’m sure both sisters missed their brother in the end
