Aloha Coach Tobias, two great tips to enhance accuracy and precision. Timing and positioning are always essential elements in attaining this goal. Thank you for this easy to follow video. So invaluable. Appreciate your work. Take care and stay safe Coach. A hui hou.
hello coach thanks for the video. It would be great if u could make a video on how to practice footwork inside your house?. god knows when we can get back to coaching
I have been told that bending arm a little in the elbow when playing drop shots increases accuracy, is it correct? Reasoning is that you are not reaching for the shuttle with straight arm and you play it more relaxed. I see it in top players like Momota, Ginting etc but so far I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere on RUclips bedminton tutorials I think.
Am a regular on videos and find them very useful, i rely more on quick moment footwork and smash. can u suggest me a raket to make less errors and improve accuracy
Hey Tobias, I really liked this video. I've got a question, How do you defend against the smashes that are hit close from the net?, How should I practice this and what are the main points to be remembered?
What you mean by smashes close from the net? You really mean smashes from shorter distance or killing shots at the net? Both is very hard to defend and you need to be lucky that your opponent plays you right into your racket
@@tobiaswadenka8435 Thanks a lot for the response Tobias... And, yes, I actually meant smashes from shorter distances or killing shots. What I do is just keep the racket in backhand grip and, as you said, if lucky, i can hit it. Keep making GREAT VIDEOS thanks!!!!
Hi can you make a video on on short duration post badminton workouts. I usually get pain in legs when I sleep in the night after badminton and the pain subsides by the following day.
The 1st tip said I should go early and and have a moment of rest before hitting. The second one contradicts the former saying i should hit just as i put my foot down. A bit confused
The first one means a stable position with your upper body with minmal movement in your arms, shoulders, etc. The legs have to move to get you to the shuttle
My trainer always told us to watch the shuttle while hiting and keep your eyes on the racket head afterwards for just a short time. You can identify how you hit the shuttle way better and control it much more easily. In my experience it makes a huge difference. Sometimes I forget about it and wunder why I do so many miss hits :)
It depends on yourself, whether you can handle the tensions of the strings or not. If you can handle up to 30 lbs or above and plays exactly absolutely fine with the string tension, it may be the correct tension of strings that suited you.
If you knew Indonesian player, Praveen Jordan, his power smash are powerful, player that usually had a powerful smash usually used 30 lbs or above to do so and the correct ways of smashes. Again, it also depend whether you can correctly handled the tensions of the strings or not.
Hahaha, great tips, except when playing outdoors in the wind because of the lockdown LOL The wind does funny things to the shuttle.
Like totally same i agree
Everyone is the best 🥰
One great thing about the wind, you can actually use it to your advantage to trick your opponent lol
Ah, finally a premier!
Stay safe ;)

Well it helps me a lot when I am playing.
Almost every single video about netting I've seen mentions that we need to relax the arms, fingers, and elbow.
@@HevaNaisdey I said drop shots. And not relaxing, but bending like by 10-15 degrees
these tips are helpful
I am having a serious problem. I am beginner and i can’t calculate the time the shuttle falls so i miss constantly. Any advice please?

Both of tips are contradictory
In first you say to take position early.
In 2nd you say to wait and bring foot at last moment
But the first tip is about racket position, the second tip is about the timing of putting the foot down
Btw they where good tips
I have been playing badminton under the lockdown....don’t tell the police.
