I have a weed problem in my field across the river! I don’t have a tractor to cut the weeds down with. I do have a Dewalt 20v Max XR weed whacker. Time to modify this bad boy! (Warning no one should modify a Dewalt like I do in this video!) ( This can be dangerous, and goes against the instruction manual for this particular piece of equipment)

I put a brush blade on my dewalt ,found a washer I had laying around that fit the center perfect to act as a bushing , I can say I’ve abused the heck out of it chopping overgrown honeysuckle up to 1” thick and low hanging tree limbs , it’s amazing how well it works
I had no idea what I was doing….mostly spoofing diy videos and having fun. I think I may redo the video and see if I can get a little better cutting action without injuring myself.
Wow very impressive. Glad you stayed safe.

@4:15. It doesn’t come unbalanced??
🤔 umm 🧐
@@SweetBerryWorld I mean when you go to a whacking! It doesn’t hit something and move over and become unbalanced? The way you have it there is just two washers pressing together with nothing able to keep it balanced.
are you running both the saw blade and the string or just using the string empty to hold the blade on instead of finding a reverse thread nut?
I wish I knew …. They need to make electric ⚡️ weed whippers that can be modified easily with actual good blades and stuff….
Not only is this dangerous to you, it is not good for the machine.
I currently have a graveyard of DeWalt battery trimmers, some of which have died because I simply used a slightly larger line than recommended, and it overheated the head.
If you want to use one of these electric weedeaters, stick with the 8” triangle brushcutter attachments. You can buy the DeWalt one or anything that is TrimmerPlus compatible.
If you don’t have the interchangeable type, buy a proper kit with the correct centering bushings and don’t add the string head on top of it.
Sounds like you know your DeWalt Battery Trimmers 🤯💥😎
If I lose a leg I’ll always have guacamole 🥑… 🤕 Thanks for your advice!
You need a saw blade adapter kit so your blade stays centered. The kit should also have the right size hole in the washers. I think the dewalt uses a m10 x1.25 left hand size stud. Your could also try an ugly head that has three nylon blades on it. The blades are replaceable by pushing a red button. I would feel safer with the nylon blades. How many bottom plows can your electric scooter pull?
Those are the details I wish I had when I was doing the modification. Thank you for the information. I mostly just made the video, so I could laugh at it with my kids.
Maybe I’ll be inspired to redo the video
Just so you know in my travels 4ah battery is the factory choice and no more than two batteries at a whack the motor heats up to failure. Thats why have two string dewalt weed whackers. God bless
Thanks for the information
I had a little fun with this video. I hope you enjoy! See you on the next episode.
They must’ve recently updated the model. mine looks different.
That’s when you know your getting old 😨
Nice editing
I am not sure I could replicate this video. My best effort.
THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! DO NOT DO THIS!
😅only if you like your appendages
You never once had your ducks in a row and for that I must rate this video a zero
Thank you for confirming what I had suspected all along.
It is a learning process where I invent ducks that have already been invented.
Dewalt uses some stupid proprietary bs on my new 60v. No adapters work with it. It's an almost oval slot.... ridiculous
Awkward setup. Lot better methods on RUclips.
That’s cool feel free to post a link to a better video!
Im on the hunt for the adapter in the us witch doesn't offer it. And nobody ships it overseas
Dt20657 . If anyone has a idea where to get one please help.
Most brush blades available say on the package not for electric ⚡️… You kinda have to take a risk and Jerry Rig it, but beware your safety is at risk with this modification.
@Sweet_Berry_Farm Thanks its just aggravating that dewalt offers a proper adapter that u can't get in the United States.
@@dustinwilkerson6951 holy cow! I need to know about the adapter!
