    Thank you for sharing this process of waterproofing your basement with Dry Lock Extreme! 👍 It was amusing to see your young ones also trying to help out with the project. 🙂

    How is this different than say Semco waterproofing membrane? Or Polyguard? Aquabloc?
    Might have to get this for our basement!

    Going upstairs the chimney for my fireplace is in the wall and because of the change in temperature my plaster walls crack I tried joint compound but it peels and cracks as well..: will dry lock fix this?

      I don't think this will slow thermal transfer, and probably is not heat rated. You're probably going to need a brick, stone type of layer to stop that.

    Did you have any odor? I took a closet down in my basement and need to use it on the wall. My wife and kids are asthmatic.

      @NeanderthalDogma 5 месяцев назад

      You can apply it on anything really. I mean it becomes like concrete when it cures kinda its not going to scratch too easily.

    • @NeanderthalDogma

    Will this get rid of damp?

    • @BreakFreeHomestead
      @BreakFreeHomestead  Год назад +3

      No, you need to try and fix the problem first.

    • @Debbyiamme
      @Debbyiamme 8 месяцев назад +1

      try a humidifier and fans won't hurt and open the windows to get air circulating. In winter, you can still crack the windows on each side; at least, that was what I read but still run the humidifier. Dampness and moisture can cause mold and mildew, then you've got another problem. We got a humidifier and it's crazy that we have to empty it 2 to 3 times a day after it rains out. Once you fix the dampness then you can paint with drylok
