It’ll be better to mix it so you get the right consistency in the water/cement mix. Plus you don’t want any of the mix to not get any water if you dump it inside a crack

Lightly brush and pull out / vacuum loose debris from cracks before applying the drylok.

Hydrolic cement expands when drying to fill cracks, regular cement shrinks.
