    My 2018 already has over 15k miles, Fox suspension rides soft, V6 turbo offers much more horsepower and torque than the 5.0, with a 17 average on fuel. If you’re a good driver you can get into any spot and drive thru in town, but it’s not for everyone.

    I would take this beast out on the weekends but the commute I do and the traffic I’m in everyday to and from work, this truck just would not cut it. Spend alottttttttt of money a year for gas if I used this as my daily driver. That’s the only gripe I have with it being a daily driver. But for people who don’t have too long of a commute or a lot of traffic in their area then this would be perfectly fine. Super comfortable truck and probably the best looking full size truck on the market. Mid size truck the trd Pro Tacoma is the best looking imo by far.

    I have a wife, a 17 year old kid and a 90lbs dog. I am looking to get a pickup truck sometime next year 2020. I have watched your videos to try to see which would fit our needs best. The trouble is most all reviews focus on towing. My situation is a little different. My primary purpose is to haul the family and commute to work daily ( about 60/40 city/freeway) nothing extreme, and only about 50 miles a day round trip). The truck aspect is for the occasional trash haul, or helping someone move, or getting plywood at Home Depot for some project.
    With all that being said, I want the most comfortable room, best fuel economy, reliability, safety and price. What is your recommendation?
    Thank you

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  3 года назад

      First and foremost, thank you for your support, marco lopez. In all seriousness, a minivan would handle your needs perfectly, but we assume if you're considering pickups, any of the full-size examples would do you well. We can't comment on reliability, but they're all spacious enough for your family and can surely haul your trash or help people move. A diesel or one of the small 6-cylinders might help with fuel economy, but none of them will be as good as a minivan. Keep in mind, a truck with a serious tow package will get considerably less fuel economy than one without. If you don't need 4wd, a rear wheel drive example will make a difference, too. Hope this helps a little and thanks again for watching!

    My 2018 Raptor darts around when I am at freeway speeds and hit an uneven spot in the road; it is actually quite scary. Everything seems tight in the front end but I haven't had the alignment checked yet. I tried but it wouldn't fit on the local garage. Have you had this problem? I don't know if it is the tire setup I have or what, this is the last problem I would expect.

    • @AutoAcademics

      The truck in this review was a press vehicle on loan from Ford for review, Duane Berry. And no, we didn't experience anything like that while we had it. Sounds like you may want to take it to a Ford dealership and have them look at it. Hope you get some answer soon. Good luck and thanks for watching!

      I thought the same thing. I used to have a 2013 with the 6.2L but after purchasing a 2018 with the 3.5L and putting a COBB tune on it...I don't care that it doesn't have a V8. Yeah, it doesn't sound as good as the 6.2L with exhaust on it, but you really don't need to upgrade the exhaust on these. Much quicker, funner to drive than the 6.2L.
