i have 2013 raptor 6.2L red really nice truck but im not ready to change to a 2019 EcoBoost shit sounds like a little Jetta if you buy a truck you want that v8 roar

Shocks are a pretty substantial upgrade. And the differences from my 17 are enough to outweigh even that - interior is significantly downgraded

I really like the Raptor but I just can’t do v6 in a truck. Yeah it has 400 hp, you can add twin turbo yada yada yada. Still sounds like shit. Ford should let its customers decide on engine packages. Who ever made that decision should stay in the Fiesta division.

Humbler32 I ordered a 2019 and I would most def like a v8. I own two v8 sports cars and an evo x gsr so I understand how that sound makes u feel. My evo sounds like crap. I honestly was not going to get a raptor for the reason alone. But years went by and I want one more and more so I said fuck it. Ford is not putting a v8 anytime soon and I’m missions out on all the fun the truck can bring me. Hey, it performs better than previous gen and it actually gets better mpg. So it’s not like it’s slower. Can’t fuckin wait. Mine comes mid jan. Just funny how my first truck will not sound like a truck. Lol
@@joemomma7161 I own a 2018..I've had plenty of v8 cars and trucks. I have zero regrets about this eco boost engine. Sound isn't a big deal to me at this point in my life. But I do like the sound that this Raptor makes. You will absolutely love your 2019. This is the first vehicle I've ever had that has surpassed my expectations.. It's just awesome! At 70k give or take. It's worth every penny!
monty fraley nice! I literally look up 2019 raptor videos every day. I can’t wait. Sound is def a big thing for me, but performance is most def more important and the fact that this gets even better mpg than the previous gen raptor is even more amazing.
Where do you ride at? I’m in Cali and I can’t wait to hit some spots up. It’s mostly going to be my wife’s daily. Lol. Poor thing, she never has a say in any car she owns. But I doubt anyone will complain of having a raptor as a daily
2017-2018 better
I have a 13 raptor with a whipple 2.9 supercharger faster and sounds like a truck gets maybe 1-2 miles per gallon less fuel wise I wouldn't trade it in for this new truck at all
My 17 has adaptive cruise, lane keeping, is faster than a supercharged 6.2, 360 camera, better shocks, 4A, better mileage, and the list goes on.
A friend just upgraded to a 19 and doesn't miss the 14 at all. Same story time and time again. My friend with a supercharged 13 always comments how much faster my truck is when we ride together

It is not worth buying
My intent was to buy the new Raptor after I traded my Roush Raptor. Still the V6 is not for me. The 5.0 V8 would have been a better engine option. gas mileage is close, and you could supercharge it with a Roush kit. A lot of USED raptors on eBay. I think Ford would have sold a lot more with the V8. Its the liberal tree hugging executives, (and the board of directors) who are killing the V8. I don’t think you buy a truck for gas mileage. My 2017 Roush F-150 averages 15.5, so not so bad. I have talked to several new raptor owners who do like theirs, and say it is pretty quick. That shitty V6 sound, just not for me.
The V8 is worse in every category, especially offroad. That's why Ford didn't put it in the Raptor or the GT.
Maybe there is a supercharge kit for the v6. Hopefully. And change the exhaust. Should be cool.
