- The 2019 Ford Raptor is here and some changes have been made. This Raptor is finished in the new for 2019 Velocity blue. Under the sheet metal is an all new Fox Racing suspension package. Find out if Ford listened to Raptor enthusiasts and made the right decisions.
I think the 17 raptor was nearly perfect with not much if anything needing to be changed. I think the fact that Ford still made an effort to improve on the raptor shows that they really listen and care about giving consumers the best of the best. Well done ford, and great review

Raiti's Rides one cool thing you didnt mention is that now the base raptor comes with the sync3 center screen instead of the puny 4” screen you used to get. Not a bad deal 57k if you can live with not having luxury stuff like heated/cooled seats, dual climate control, and adaptive cruise control.

Loved the 2018 Raptor and 2019 continues that same excitement. To those complaining of no V8 I hear you and thought the same until I did an honest test back to back test drives. I elected to go V6 in 2018 KR and never miss the performance from my past V8. V6 torque is amazing while getting great ⛽️ cost averaging 19 mpg and better. Thanks for doing the video and showing what has not changed, still those Fox shocks are beasts.

Even though it’s the same as 2017 and 2018 , same design, same, look, same performance, but the suspension is on another level, this truck defies off-road truck, a class on its own, yes expensive but it’s worth buying it, and why people are sad that the truck hasn’t a V8, The V6 it’s has its strong and makes the truck fast, let alone a V8, I have an idea for ford, they design a new engine, A V8 ecoboost
People to this day (non ford guy) say it’s bad, it’s expensive, it has a v6, they are just jealous because this truck is the best

This truck didn't have the bead lock rims. I just bought a 2019 Raptor and it's, by far, the best truck I've ever owned. Hands down!

The new suspension kinda reminds me of the MagnaRide system on the Mustang or the Active suspension system in the Land Rover but now prob first time on a Sports Truck.

A suggestion for the interior shot would be to lower the camera a bit so we can see more of the road ahead, or just turn the camera and face yourself like many folks do. Kind of a weird setup in this one. Thanks for the video!

Had a 2015 Silverado Ltz 4 wheel drive v 8 that I beat up consistently on 65 miles of beach while surf fishing padre island. I loved the truck, but it does not even come close to the 2018 Raptor I traded it in for. It is the smoothest ride on any surface. After driving through very rough terrain and faster than I was ever able to in the v8, I would still have live bait in my bucket. Lol. I was skeptical about the v6 but combined with all the other special features of the raptor-performance and look-I have absolutely nothing to complain about. Great review bro, made me love my 18 even more.

hey velocity blue aint bad. it look just like speed way blue. i'll take that. but i want the 2019 shelby f-150 super snake 4x4. i heard they discontinued lighting blue 2 months ago. i just found out 3 days ago. and 2018 shelby f-150 super snake 4x4 lightning blue and white was the last color they made. now it's replace by velocity blue. little bit light blue then lighting blue, thats even better. baby blue and white is my favorite color.

Back in 1996 I had bought a new 96 Mustang GT with 5 speed Manual, think it only had 210 hp 4.6 Liter V8. Loved that car.

Late at night when there's no traffic are highway patrol I had my Raptor up to a100mph in a short distance handles good.

Please don't take your Raptors up to 100+ mph folks. This man's claim of 'handles good" is inaccurate to say the least. They become extremely unsafe at 100mph.

The improvements are nice, but they've also taken things away. I love Ford but they do some really annoying things with small things to save a couple of bucks. I thought they would bring back ambient lighting with the number of complaints I've seen on this. You can't get that on any F-150 at any price, but you can get it on the Ranger, go figure. At this price point, Multi Contour seats should be available. They also got rid of the moonroof on the SCAB. A factory fog light kit would also be nice to see. Overall, I'm glad I bought an 18.

Yeah........sorry, but I just can't wrap my head around the fact that this truck is powered by a V6. Turbo or not, it still sounds like a 6. I would much rather have a V8..... Thanks for the video Joe ! Still a nice looking truck !

yea I wish it was a v8 but its basically the same motor as the GT but the GT is different! A V8 is coming back soon for the Raptor

@@mr.roush6709 I don't think that we are going to see a V8 for a raptor anymore. The V6 Eco boost has more horse power, more torque better fuel economy and lighter. Change that for sound doesn't make any sense. It's hard to say this but the future are turbo cars and electric cars.
RTechStop 2 no one cares about fuel mileage on a Raptor. And a 5 litre with a supercharger would put out much more hp.
I love my 2019 raptor. I kinda wish I was more patient and got the blue. The v6 sound isn’t the best. After I put in the borla atak I hope to fix that somewhat. Unfortunately it’ll never have that deep v8 rumble but it’s much more capable than just about any factory v8.

I ordered my 2014 Raptor exactly the way I wanted it and it was 56K. Fairly well loaded. Now 74K. Yikes. Im going to zonk that.
It’s a beautiful truck but they need to update the infotainment system. It looks very outdated. If the raptor can have the same infotainment system has the Lincoln Navigator then it will be perfect.

I haven’t messed with those auxiliary switches I just wonder where the wiring from the switches runs to or are they just switches and then you have to run wiring all the way around the windshield and out to the front or wherever you’re going with the wires?
That is an excellent question! I am going to find out because now I am curious!
White Knight Most likely they’re already tied into the fuse box just waiting to be connected to something.
They are routed through the firewall and terminated with plenty of extra wire left over. They are all labeled at the termination under the hood so it is super easy to tap into them.

A 5 litre with a supercharger would be no more expensive to produce and would put out about 150 more hp than the Ecoboosts 450
I've always favored chevy and dodge, because displacement. This is a really great truck, but it NEEDS more displacement!

What's so great about V8s? I don't get it. I've owned an Ecoboost Ford since 2013 with absolutely NO issues or problems in 125,000 miles other than needing a new battery after 4 years.
@@elvinrinoa2027 Raptor was never supercharged. 1st gen was naturally aspirated 5.4 & perhaps more popular the 6.2 option.

Why is Ford so shy for a real suspension upgrade? They put a marvellous rear suspension on the Ranger Raptor, with rear coils and watt linkage !! Staggered shocks and leaf springs are a failure from the begining. Especially, when U can do better! 3.5 eco boost is perfectly OK though...... Take it from a 2018 F 150 Raptor ownwer. ;-)

They did come up with the live valve shocks. I’m surprised Ford hasn’t gone with coil springs yet.

Yes it is! It has all new shocks, and other bits here and there.
I hate to make a point about weight again but it's a real issue. Based off previous tests 2017 model with all fluids is around 5900lbs. Even with a lesser load of fuel once you include driver were looking at a 6000lb vehicle. If this Raptor had something similar to the new Caddy 4.2L TT V8 it would be complete.

Plastic is HORRIBLY over-used in cars. It doesn't look good, feel good, or wear well. When was the last time you looked in a car and said: "Gee, it's nice, but I wish they had used more cheap looking, easily scratched plastic!"
