Shock technology is great but I personally feel the more sensors you add to an offroad specific truck, that is another thing to go wrong. I hardly ever see a Raptor on the trails or running in the Arizona desert. I see an overwhelming majority beating the mall pavement.
I hardly ever see new vehicles off road. It's one thing to be able to buy one but a whole nother level to be able to beat it up off road without crying. No doubt the second or third owner will off road these things though. I wonder how big of a deal these sensors will be by time the shocks need replacement?

Really cool truck. Price tho. The exterior design of the Raptor and F150 in general can stay 5 years...just my preference tho. Think it just looks quite amazing, not too overly designed like the new silverado is. Love the Raptor, one of my dream vehicles. Lets see for 2020. Maybe Ford will give the F150 a new upgraded interior. Not gonna lie tho, current interior doesn't look that bad, very masculine and truck feeling. Exhaust sounds quite good too
Or..and bear with me a minute here..they added real time shocks that adjust to the terrain quicker than most any other design out there..so that's a huge technological leap..which comes with added cost.

@J Ygb actually the EcoBoost has been out since 2010. V8 engine has a broader torque curve than the EcoBoost which spikes when you go up into the higher RPM band in the engine
really wish Ford would make a Ram Rebel/Tundra TRD Pro/Silverado AT4 competitor. The FX4 package needs to be changed to this type of setup to adapt to the changing market. This truck I consider a step above those trucks and the FX4 is a step below.

The ecoboost V-6's are really starting to get boring! Wake it up Ford, V-8 ecoboost! When Ram comes out with the Rebel TRX with the supercharged V-8 it's going to eat the Raptor's lunch! I still wouldn't pay that much for a truck that has the engine that should go in the Ranger!
That's an interesting thought, it will I'm sure garner at least as much as the premium the Raptor does, and comparing it to a Trackhawk, it could be a great deal more. The only issue with the super premium price I think would be that pick up buyers are a slightly different breed who can get turned off quickly if the price gets too astronomical. Although it could easily be argued that a truck with a truly awesome sound should command a higher premium than one that sounds like a lawn mower! It will be interesting, while the ecoboost V-6's just get more boring for trucks. If I were to get a six, it'd be the 2.7, it's by far a much better value for the dollar. The 3.5 just isn't impressive enough in either form to command the price it costs, and not just in money! If Ram really does build the TRX, Ford will be caught with its pants down if their response isn't adequate!@@SocalRaptor
There is no reason for the V-8 Ecoboost - there is literally zero competition for the V-6 at the moment, why even introduce the V-8? Once GM or Ram builds something to push the envelope we will see Ford lay down the trump card with the V-8 Ecoboost.

I don’t understand why haven’t they did the facelift for the raptor just like all other f150s it has been there since 2018 models! In 2013 they gave the raptor facelift with the rest of the trims but now they don’t. Hopefully they do it with 5.0L V8 Supercharged instead of the tt v6.

All those sensors sound great till they start having issues and you have to take it in for repair, then Ford makes a grip of money servicing all those sensors.
I just came from the school, too cool, amazing time and instructors. I was told Baja Mode for racing even everyday driving on highways. I was told the school is getting 16 Brand new 2019 Raptors.
@@T4nkcommander Thats exactly what i thought and always have known, but the instructor said 4high is fine on pavement or you can leave it in Baja mode and switch it to 2high or Auto if you wanted to. The difference is that in Baja Mode the turbos are spooled up much higher and you feel the difference instantly. We had the chance of testing all the different modes on the truck, also the braking system changes in different modes and it stops much quicker.

I purchased a new '18 Raptor and sold it 3 months later. Very disappointed with the duck farting v6 sound and quality issues. Put a 6.2L in, increase quality control, and maybe I will revisit down the road. Great video/insight Roman and Andre as usual.
Bought my f150 4x4 new and put a lift on it myself in a few hours, along with some BFGs and all said and done it was less than half the price of 95% of the new raptors that never see anything other than a well graded dirt road.

That’s crazy. I could be wrong but it would seem cheaper to put the same push button start on every model to get the biggest discount on manufacturing and minimize engineering costs.

I'd say the King Ranch and Limited are more the status symbols in the line up. The Raptor is more the one that is bought by enthusiast rather they want a off-road beast or a powerful muscle truck.
Love everything about the truck but the awful Tacoma exchaust tone. It just takes something away from this beast of a truck. Heck just no noise would even be better. Not hating on the v6 either. Just the sound is horrible

I have seen lots of Raptors offroad here in California. Sure there are those used as daily drivers only, but lots of people take them offroad too.

Ram TR with 7.0 Banshee V8 and Ram TRX with hellcat engine are coming. Being V8s they are immediately better than any Ecoboom engine

Never use Baja on pavement. It is slower than sport mode on pavement as it is calibrated for dirt. Also 4H on road will ruin your drivetrain

I purchased a new '18 Raptor and sold it 3 months later. Very disappointed with the duck farting v6 sound and quality issues. Put a 6.2L in, increase quality control, and maybe I will revisit down the road. Great video/insight Roman and Andre as usual.

Bought my f150 4x4 new and put a lift on it myself in a few hours, along with some BFGs and all said and done it was less than half the price of 95% of the new raptors that never see anything other than a well graded dirt road.

Thank you for calling them out on having a 65k truck without push button start, dual climate control and navigation (but I’m on the fence if that’s a big deal with Apple CarPlay/android auto).
2018 chevy high country with every option was $70,000. Guess what no push button start. Why? Because it wasn't an option.
That’s crazy. I could be wrong but it would seem cheaper to put the same push button start on every model to get the biggest discount on manufacturing and minimize engineering costs.

As badass as the raptor is lets be real 75% of raptors will never see more than a unpaved gravel road or light trail. These are just a status symbol, hell you can say the same thing about most trucks now as being the new midlife crisis vehicle of choice instead of a sports car
I'd say the King Ranch and Limited are more the status symbols in the line up. The Raptor is more the one that is bought by enthusiast rather they want a off-road beast or a powerful muscle truck.
The wheel wells are only painted, no stonechip protection/body coat/bedliner etc??

6.2 was cheap move to begin with. It is same engine available on base work truck f250. Atleast ecoboost in the raptor are more beefy with more power

Love everything about the truck but the awful Tacoma exchaust tone. It just takes something away from this beast of a truck. Heck just no noise would even be better. Not hating on the v6 either. Just the sound is horrible
Recaros are nice... but a base model Raptor should have more standard than that red truck...
