      Imo (I've been playing since f2p so I'm not the best judge) but Imo a big tip for plat is to not always dodge into the ball for a shot/save. I see it all the time where someone is "matrixing" the ball and it's hugely avoidable. I never see anyone talk about this and a video on this would at least help me quite a bit as I've been plat since my first ranking matches and don't seem to be leaving it anytime soon. (New subber ty for the vids!)

    An amazing tip which got me from gold 1 to plat 3 in 1s in a few weeks is learning how to put pressure on opponent without committing this means if they mess up u could have a goal or just ball control and allows u to make defending 10x easyier cos if u get it down right u it’s really frustrating for the opponent. For me I’m gold and low plat in other playlists so the only way I get scored on is fancy shots I can’t save and don’t usually see. The ability to do this turns u from regular gold to a plat 1s god

    I have a tip for plats, watch the play more. A lot of people in platinum will have the idea to just go at the ball and make whatever play they can. Patience is key, because winning games in platinum is mostly taking advantage of the opposing team making mistakes, there is plenty of opportunity to do so because of rushed plays, so if you're looking to climb in platinum, learn to be patient and watch what the opponents do, you'll also find this will better your ability to read the ball and other plays in the future.

    • @5strs
      @5strs 3 года назад

      im c3 and im thinking about it but I'm not sure bc I think I might need to learn to air roll again (in a way since I'm changing the air roll binding), what do u think, since u have more hours than me? also how many hours do u have?

    • @TheMisterQuake
      @TheMisterQuake 3 года назад +1

      @@5strs I feel like the only reason to learn air roll left/right is to learn advanced mechanics or to be more consistent with ones you have already learned. There are many pro players who still don’t use it all that much so it’s not really essential to learn, it’s more of a preference IMO. I also have 1850 hours in the game atm.

    • @TheMisterQuake
      @TheMisterQuake 3 года назад +1

      I should also add that those flashy/advanced mechanics aren’t really used all that much in the higher levels of play, it’s more about awareness and being smart with your play

    • @5strs
      @5strs 3 года назад

      @@TheMisterQuake alright thanks man. Do u think I should still make the change from general air roll to air roll left/right, or does it really matter? u said that higher-ranked gameplay is just awareness and being smart, but does air roll left/right help you be much cleaner with your mechanics? is it something that can help someone improve exponentially?

    • @TheMisterQuake
      @TheMisterQuake 3 года назад +1

      @@5strs Well you should always keep normal air roll along with a different bind for air roll left/right, and I honestly believe that you only need normal air roll to get to any level of play, it’s just that maybe if you’re around pro level you should consider adding it 🤣

    You should add little text blips to explain some of the jargon you're using. I don't know the names of a lot of the moves (and I haven't watched your other videos yet... first one! SUBBED.)

    my biggest advice as a diamond is always position. Teams with great position can beat a lot of teams that have great mechanics most of the time. Once you get up in the ranks from there then your kind of screwed though haha

    Imo the best thing to get you through ranks is to just read your tm8 (most of the time) if you have a tm8 who likes to play aggresive (ball chase essentially) then you need to kind of just let them and play patient wait for opportunities (also reverse if you have a passive tm8 you might have to be the aggressor) atleast this has helped me a bunch if you can adapt your own playstyle to enable your tm8 it will win you games this obv depends on your tm8s ability too (i dont know what ranks this will apply to but i started doing it around p1 and now im d3) ps.I know telling people to trust your tm8 is probably a lost cause 😂
    Im a 2s main this will be alot more difficult in 3s but not impossible
    Tldr
    Make the game more predictable by knowing your tm8s playstyle/ability

    Yo, one thing I would switch out for Diamond is not to stress about free play as it's rarely trained effectively. I'd just replace it with more 1s. Nothing better to find out what you're tragic at than 1s.

    For early golds:
    -Learn to flick/defend against a flick
    -Know how to recover from a bad kickoff
    -For doubles and standards, know how to rotate

  • @DropIet

    If you really want to rank up quickly learn the speed flips as soon as possible. I taught myself how to do it when it first starting to become a thing and I went from gold 2 to champ 2 in 1s. If you already know how to flip cancel then it's a simple step up and if you don't know how to flip cancel then practice them before you try for speed flips. Cancels themselves have their own use for power hits and recoveries.

    • @DropIet
      @DropIet 3 года назад

      Also don't get thrown off by people saying they're impossible. It's easy to do but hard to master. Take your time.

    I never really used free play, only to practice aerials, but I tend to learn better in a game. I play a lot of casual so I don't have to worry about ranked, which works for me, but everyone's different. great video by the way chief. stay safe

    I suck but from what I’ve learned, practice hitting the ball every time. An overcommit and a miss could completely change the game, so practice being able to hit the ball every time.
