I didn't read the other comments,,, ill just say, it was the 70's AND 80's , we did shit, some of us quit and some couldn't, but it was the best time of all times , and we will never pass that way again, so count your lucky stars we got to live and survive it,
I Agree. The Drummer Keeps The Time And The Power Behind The Vocals And Guitar. I Personally Think That Joey And Tom Are The Most Underrated Members,They Have Voices And Opinions And Experiences To Share...
those three guys are a hec of a rhythm section! one of the best for sure! and I bet they have had to put up with a lot! like waiting for tyler to get his shit together during rehearsals.perry got a lot of his shit down on their last record together(a night in the ruts).but as usual, everyone had to wait for tyler to snap out of his drug induced haze.but I am glad that these guys got it together and are fine now.
maybe , or maybe he'd be in another huge band . he's a great drummer and "had what it takes" to be so . also , bands are a delicate chemistry , and usually one only notices sombodys importance when they're gone . so many bands change one member and are never as good . so maybe aerosmith would have never got big without him ...
Saw Aerosmith at least 4 times late 70's - early 80's. Saw lots of other bands too but none more than once. At least 2 concerts they were horrible and I was a huge fan. Was it the end of the tour , too wasted or a combination, they just were not together. Still love their music and I am working on learning Sweet Emotion and Walk this way on bass for a cover band as I try to comeback from a long hiatus from R and R.
They have played a good amount of free shows over the years. But its not their choice, its the places they play. They can't play small places because it would sell out to quick and not all of their fans would be able to come.
Many bands did lots of drugs. What people tend to forget is how the music scene changed in the mid-late 70s with punk, new wave, etc. Nothing against their talent, but bands like Aerosmith had fallen out of fashion at that point.
How many records did the punk bands sell? How many records did arena rock bands like Aerosmith sell? Punk had limited impact that wasn’t felt until younger popular musicians came to prominence during the 90s that were influenced by it
If a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link and if as you say Joey is their weakest link, but if as I'm sure you'd agree Aerosmith is a great band, then by that logic and reasoning Joey must still be a damn good drummer they wouldn't be a great band if he, their weakest link in your estimation, wasn't doing something right!!!!!
Seen them in 1977 in Chicago and they were horrible. Roadie had to run out on stage and hold up Joe Perry while he went into his heroin nods. I was 12.
Saw them in 78 in boston with golden earring....they were horrible....too f....ked up. Golden earring blew them off the stage. Love aerosmith....but yeah they were out there.
those last words by tom are awesome good on you tom
And yet, here you all still are. Many, MANY didn't make it through.
God bless you guys, and thank you.
Really?!? That was It??? You'll talk to Steven and Joe for hours, but the Heart of the band? 30 Seconds?!? WTF?!?

It just, unfortunately, would not have been the same at all without that shit. Double-edged sword for sure.
Tom Hamiltons final remark was great. Take note Axl.
+Daniel Sinclair When Axl Rose finally gets a life. His vocals really suck
If those 3 guys haven't written a tell all book they should! I bet they have some great stories about Steven & Joe!
+AnimalHouseforReal Out of the three, only Joey has wrote one. Tom is working on one I believe.
Thanks Steven! Rock on!
AnimalHouseforReal that's why they don't write one it'd be all about Steven and Joe, not themselves

It all seems to be about Tyler doesn’t it ? Like he was a solo artist 🙄

Live Bootleg, Mother Popcorn, check it out.
Is Joey transitioning ?
They are still good live, why should they quit? We NEED guys like them around...
Who is the interviewer? Damn...
They didn’t lose it all
Wtf, is Joey wearing eyeliner??
looks like it.
I found the hair more troubling than that.

If it wasn't for the Rolling Stones and Led Zep there would be no Aerosmith , I go all the way back to the sixties, I'm the man.
It was actually the Yardbirds and Fleetwood Mac that were a bigger influence on Aerosmith when they started out
Lara Logan is a beauty

She's soooo cute
the three honest members of aerosmith...if steven was there he'd just joke about it and if joe was, he'd just be pretending to be keith richards
Seen them in 1977 in Chicago and they were horrible. Roadie had to run out on stage and hold up Joe Perry while he went into his heroin nods. I was 12.
She's smokin' hot...

Oh, poor them!
yes, that is hard. i went to see a singer. i thought i did something wrong. but she was bad.
they were close to dying several times and were completely BROKE by the early '80s
no joke
not Tom Hamilton, he was the only one who didn't lose everything.
The video title made me laugh
Joey Kramer needs to ease up on the makeup !!!

the interviewer girl is hot and needs me
wake up, you're dreaming...
***** irrelevant what his name is. you sit on his face for fun.
Saw them in 78 in boston with golden earring....they were horrible....too f....ked up. Golden earring blew them off the stage. Love aerosmith....but yeah they were out there.
