You can tell they are best friends, they're almost holding hands, they've been together since forever
When Steve Tyler went on American Idol, Aerosmith's back catalogue had over a 200% increase in sales.
hes being accused of stuff all over the media now
@@corysmith3447 He wrote about it in his autobiography, it's not really news. A woman he had sexual relations with in the 1970s when she was under age is now suing him before the statute of limitations runs out. Lots of rock stars were criminal creeps in the 1970s (Do you know about Lori Maddox & Jimmy Page?).
@@corysmith3447from about 50 yrs ago 😂
I mean…come on
@@beaulyons1977 Still makes them creeps.
I remember them absolutely stealing the show at the Texxas Jam. It was unbearably hot and people were just melting . Zone out like zombies from the heat. Aerosmith came on and the crowd woke up and rocked out for the entire set. Kick ass show. I remember a stage hand wrapping Stevens head in a wet towel after their set. They literally kept the spirits of 60,000 people from dissolving. Great show.
I've seen it online. Sadly I was only 12 and in the Midwest. But I was already a fan of theirs then and still am now. It looks like it was incredible and something to never forget.
I love how Perry said, when they get on stage the dream of what they wanted to do comes back ! Just love this band. Great music.
TOYS IN THE ATTIC...I have been a fan ever since......🤩 Born in 1962
Me too! Walk this way still my favorite song of all time!
I hate how they keep getting interrupted lesson for any interviewer let the artist speak
Yes! Right!? Let then talk for gods sake.
Best piece of advice I ever received from my first Sales Manager was to just shut up. People will usually tell you what you want to know if you just get out of the way and let them talk…just listen.
Stephen orgasism with my mind-luv ya kitten and Hot Monkey Band!
To be fair, on a talk show like this they’ve got a segment of around 6-8 minutes, Dave’s got a card of questions to get through and producers in his ear telling him to move on and ask another question. You can’t have a proper conversation when you’ve only got 6 minutes to make an interview, plug whatever thing they’re plugging _and_ make an entertaining piece of TV. If hosts just let them talk, they’d be out of time before they finished the answer to the first question.
Seriously. There are some world famous interviewers that don't do that very basic interview rule: let the person you're talking to speak.
Steven Tyler is such a classy, elegant, soft spoken, kind and insanely talented individual. Listening to his voice and enjoying his stage presence is an honor
Classy except for when he had someone, in the 70s, visit his girlfriend, drug her up, and start a fire to try to burn her to death, and then force her to get an abortion when she (barely) survived that. Classy except for the attempted murder and forced abortion. It's sad, I thought he was a good guy as well.
@@MisterMoosterI’m assuming you were there to witness all of these accusations?
@@MisterMooster I was shocked and disgusted to learn this. He became her legal guardian. She was like 15 at the time they met
“Classy” “elegant” “soft spoken” are we talking about the same dude???
@@Queen-rx5kf 😆
53 years together as a band. Unbelievable
Anhad los Rollings hasta la muerte de Charlie Watss fueron 58 años
The fact they they are still here is a miracle.
Hi
Are you also one of my music fans out there?
JUST CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THE MEMORIES HE HAS GIVEN US ALL THRU THE YEARS AND GLAD TO SEE HIM STILL PERFORMING IN OUR 70's
Going to see them in a few months. BUCKET LIST item. We need to see these old guys, still kicking ass. See them all as much as I can!
I love, love, love them always no matter how old they get. We all get old. Face it.

Me parece que Joe ahora en el 2023 Mayo, en una entrevista que recien vi ojala me equivoque pero creo que puede estar adquiriendo Parkinson, mas alla de eso tengo 59 desde 1980 los vengo siguiedo..
STEVEN & JOE are INDISPUTABLY KINGS!
First concert I ever saw was Aerosmith.
Great show. Long time ago
Same for me. Toys in the attic Tour. Switzerland/Zürich. My first concert.... even had 3 guys from the hells angels in the back.
@@MrWhitesidedj Wow! That's crazy! They were also the first concert that I ever saw--also in Zürich, Switzerland at the Volkshaus on their "Rocks" tour in 1976. I was fifteen years old.
I even remember their support act. Young rock band with the Name of "Phoenix". Greetings.
Joe is one of my guitar heroes. Saw him back in 1981 on tour with The Project. Awesome!
They both fit the old description of “ridden hard and left wet”.
today is 05-05-2023, 3 hours ago "Peace Out" final farewell tour tickets went on sale in Dallas TX! And I watch this video (for the first time) and at around 5:55 I hear " .. for us there is no finish line ..." So I'm going to go see them on this "Farewell tour" and hope there truly is no finish line and they'll be back again someday!
Absolute Legends from my home town
Aerosmith ROCKS
The picture at 6:15 shows Ray Tabano on guitar. I'm from Yonkers and I knew them both, Ray and Steven.
Dave exceeded his interruptions quota
A little annoying
Sure did
no joke.!!!!!!!
Love, love, love Steven and that band, my favorite of all time. Music never gets old. Love his country songs as well. That man can sing anything
I could listen to Joe Perry talking all day long, soooo soothing!
Ahhhh….!
Aerosmith was IT back in the day!!!
OMG….! Great memories and music!

I read memoirs exclusively....made it through Joe's in record time... Fantastic book..... JP rocks 🤘..
Joe Perry is that man.
AEROSMITH ALWAYS DELIVERS THE GOODS. God Bless these Musicians.
Greatest American Rock band
I will never understand why Joe keeps doing that mustache to his face repeatedly. Well, he does him I guess!I It was lovely to remember this album, thanks for uploading the video :D
2 legends !
Three even
Tyler killed it at the Kennedy Center honoring McCartney. Did Bathroom Window, Golden Slumbers, and The End medley. Steve was on.
One of his best performances!!
This was done on 11/1/2012 it says in the bio but then it says 2 weeks ago.
I’m glad I looked at the inFo below.
This interview was overc10 yrs ago.... 1 of ..best rock band of all time ....!! Saw them I nyc in the 80s and 2o yrs later in Louisiana!!! Love ❤️ Stephen Tyler
Three of my favorite folks on the screen, four if you count Paul.

REAL PASSIONATE ROCK ROYALTY THE ONE AND ONLY ORIGINAL ICONIC LIVING LEGEND STILL IN A LANE OF THEIR OWN
aerosmith is the best band on earth..:)
Dark clouds forming for my favourite band.
1974. Philadelphia Spectrum. I can't even describe the Energy. Imagine these guys in their Party Days an Philly audience! . 😂🤣😏🙄
Very cool interview. Steven always gives great answers.
Bad questions i thought letterman came across jealous 🧐
@@nicholasbird1979 Yes, sir! Great answers to bad questions.
Nah....I thought he was rather pleasant to these guys.....@@nicholasbird1979
Saw an interview with Joe with a news station.. man , he is just a regular guy like us musicians, had success and enjoys his privacy. 😅. Thats life! We all bleed blood.
Anyone remember Synsonics electric drums? I had a dream once I was sitting cross legged on a big stage playing my Synsonics drums at a huge outdoor festival with Aerosmith. Joe Perry gave me a dirty look but Steven was right over me, the mic stand with the scarves. I was killin' it. Steven screaming the last verse of Draw the Line and the crowd going nuts. I love that dream.
"We are a family and have to take a break at times" Baaam! There it is, know when you need a breather!
I love Joe perry he's so amazing best of the best guitar player he totally Rock's 🤘🤘 Steven Tyler he's so sweet
Best band ever ❤ they've been together forever 🎶🎤🎸🎻🎼
If they are together as a group from 70's then it is 50 years ...
40 years, give or take, since this was aired in 2012.
Right on! Rock and Roll forever
cheer Steven Tyler, you made somethin' what will live
Rock N’ Roll Soldiers
Thanks Dave. Bad Boys of Boston where I am from and seen them since 1973
Dave’s the best talk show host ever. Not even close.
Hard questions. Good answers.
I saw from a rooftop, in Boston, Joe Perry and Joey Kramer driving a Brown Pontiac Firebird.
I thought it was Joe Perry in the passenger seat, and realized, Aerosmith WAS doing a concert in Boston.
Don't know if this means anything, but it happened out of the blue, and lasted, 3 seconds.
Love Aerosmith ❤️ saw them perform in 1976 at Madison Square Garden ❤
Happy New Year to Dave & crew, and all of the other awesome Letterman fans. :) I've been a fan since the 80's and I'm so grateful to have content like this on the channel.
too bad he is being falsy accused all over the media right now
@@corysmith3447 Who, Dave? What is he being accused of?
@@videogameobsession the lead singer of aerosmith look on google now
Ahh, I see. Hmm.. If groupies start accusing bands of the 70's then 2023 is going to be a banner year for lawyers. I stopped reading about the case when it stated that "she left Tyler to be a devote catholic". :P I wish them all good luck.
@@videogameobsession everyone is canccled now it seems like over 50% of famous people have these very bad misconduct accusations from justin beber (girl on tiwtter said he did **** toher) to mike tyson etc
Great interview!
Listened to Get your wings today as I worked out riding my bike. Was thinkin back to when I was 13 and I saw em for 94 cents at the Tower theater. A radio station WYSP -94 on the dial was the reason for the price of the tickets. Anyway love the band. And hoping my wife and I get to see them as they’re starting the last tour here in Philly! God bless and Rock on!
THE LEGENDARY BAND🔥🔥
HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVEN TYLER
I loved Steven on A Erica’s Idol. Best season ever!

THE BEAUTIFUL BAD BOYS OF BOSTON AND ROCK AND ROLL 🎉🎉😂😂❤❤❤
best band of all time
Me emociona verlos. Diría sin ofender, son leyenda del rock. Los amo como banda, siempre vigente. Steven está muy bueno. Es un bombón. ♥️♥️🇦🇷🎶🤘
Thankyou that was good to see. The msn keeps interrupting you. I have always had problems with numbers
Indeed Aerosmith has staying power. For me it's sad that bands like Led Zeppelin and the Eagles that are long gone that breaks my musical heart.
What’s going on with joes moustache
❤❤❤❤ La verdad los 2 hacen una dupla única y Steven como siempre el centro de todo robo al entrevistador el Show eres divino te amo❤❤❤❤❤
Aerosmith forms and the 71 Hemi Cuda is released... what a year
Legends! ❤❤❤
Love you guys and always will 🥰😘
I wish they made a movie about them
It sounded like Lettermon was trying to start a fight.
Funny. I didn't know that Aerosmith is three years older than I am.
Dean never went on stage alone. It was always him and his apple juice.
Magic 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💋 Boston ❤️s these guys
steven eyeing down the biddies at 1:20 😂😂
Steven looks better now then back in the day.
Their best songs were in the early drug induced years , then they fell in love with ballads !
They had many ballads in the 70s my friend
Thanks, Dave. Thanks Paul, too. Just keeping the kids. Huh!
Perrys "Moustache' gets the best of me
thank you
Hitting the button all day long, am laughing so hard. The look on Joe’s face. They just began their Farewell tour. Last band standing them or Stones?
Letterman asks a question and then interrupts.
I like and appreciate this content and I like this video
That albums a lot better than I expected.,I bought my copy after a few years had gone by to complete my collection. Pleasantly surprised. Yea it’s not Rocks but it’s not terrible either. It just never caught fire like the earlier ones.
Coolest guys ever :-)
very cool guys
Joey Kramer threw a drum stick in the bleachers at the Providence Civic center in 1976 I caught it ,they were non the less great as usual it seemed like yesterday, its amazing how time goes by ,we had a great time as usual......................
Can you imagine that band trying to replace Tyler? That would NOT be possible.
Love me some Steven Tyler Bd some Joe Perry the best Band Aerosmith!!@@ Rocked to you all through my high school days and I'm still with you!! DREAM ON AEROSMITH
Bad Boys from Boston.
Like the Stones somewhat.
But Not as well.
Those early records had Edge.
Toys in the Attic, Get Your Wings
Rocks especially.
Love those records.
They were Dirty and Sloppy
In a good Way.
They been around a long time.
There music Brings back
Some good memories.
I learned to play guitar listening and to their early albums which were there best, after that, all the songs were written by 8 or more writers.
Thats not correct at all. They had some supporting songwriters, but they've never had more than 4 people working on a song. Most of the songs in which they had support are like "Tyler, Perry and Jim Vallance" or something like that.
If Steven got a million $ every episode of the show and shared it with the band they probably didn't complain.
I wonder when it was that they played Major Barba on stage????
Listen to Letterman! HE knows what he is talking about 🎼🎶😍
I had a moment of panic when I saw this video was posted. For the last several months it's been this channel's posts that inform me of the latest big celebrity passing away. That on-top of reports several months back that said Joe Perry was in ill health made me think the worst
That's so true, on the decent chunk of the time where they post because of a passing :3 I always have to check the comments or google. It was just yesterday though, that some random Fb pages I follow - had some very misleading info in their Stories. Had to look up James Earl Jones, Kathy Bates, and Cher for no actual reason, come to find out. Like apparently their pages don't include faulty news, but they say incorrect things about deaths or ill health in their Stories? Soo odd. Made me scared - like noo! -- nottt Cher or Kathy Bates!! :0 That would be terrible.
Anyhow, definitely will be crossing my big toes for Joe Perry -- he's still got a lotta years left to fill, before he gets sidelined by unavoidable health junk.
:3 But if there is any extent of struggle, I hope he side-steps it!! 💜
They played a small arena in my town once where 2,000 showed up. That was the year before Pump. Pump catapulted them to their 2nd carrere and even higher summits.
Saw them at the Lynn Manning Bowl when they were down and out in the 80's before Pump. Hometown crowd in MA. Rock and Roll.
I guess Letterman didn’t want to ask anything about the new album lol
