    Greg Norton is just all over that bass line as usual. Underrated bassist. Underrated musicians in general actually.

    First ever Hüsker song I heard, and it was love at first hearing!
    Glad I managed to see them the same year, it was by far the loudest gig I´ve ever seen (my ears were still ringing 3 days after), and I´ve been to more than 350 gigs!

    i don't see what all the complaints about Warehouse are about. Its perfect. Its full on and the drums sound right on the button. A remix will do nothing for it. I like the sound off all of the albums wouldn't change 'em for the world. Our bunch of mates all sank into Zen Arcade at the time and then couldn't believe how quickly the LPs kept coming. No reunion ever. Good. They did it. Its done and dusted. And it remains as potent as music gets. Maaaaaan

    @cheezgrater : thanks for your comment. Nice to see a true Husker fan who knows what they're talking about. However, I'll agree to disagree. Song for song , "Warehouse" is , i think, their most consistent collection of tracks. With maybe a couple of exceptions, no filler on the lp, which for a double lp is typical of the talent this band possessed. Granted, "Apple Grey" was disappointing, and I love "Wig" ,"Arcade" ,"Rising" but "warehouse" is their crowning creative achievement for me.

    i think warehouse sounds thin...actually a lot of their albums sound thin, but i love 'em anyway. perhaps future remasters could remedy this?

  • @metal1313

    maybe the drums were recorded seperately from the guitar and bass from what i remember grant and bob were not exactly the best of pals before the band split for good.

  • @NilezII
    @NilezII 16 лет назад +1

    Definitely, the same songs are MUCH better on the the live CD. "Standing in The Rain" is an example. Everything on "Warehouse:" sounds like the same song.

    It's called songwriting. What are you, 12 years old?

  • @jimtownresident
    @jimtownresident 16 лет назад +1

    It's not just the horrendous mixing, the drumming is really horrible on both of their major label releases. I suspect they may have recorded the drum tracks separately from the other instruments but Grant's style totally depends on complementing the rhythm of the rest of the band.

  • @jimtownresident
    @jimtownresident 16 лет назад +1

    Hahaha yeah that face rules.
    Why do all the Warehouse songs sound so much better live than on the album? The drums are all really out of time on the studio versions for whatever reason but Grant sounds great here...

  • @deathfromabove77
    @deathfromabove77 14 лет назад

    @girlie347: Husker Du got better with each record, the final lp "Warehouse Songs & Stories" was undoubtedly their most consistent lp. "Zen Arcade", "Flip Your Wig", " New Day Rising" were great lps, but their first records "Land Speed Record" etc any true Husker Du fan will tell you, were not their best. So I'm at odds understanding your statement .And who gives a shit what the shape of his guitar is?..Do you know ANYTHING about this band? Do you know why you posted such a misinformed comment?
