I’m a bus operator in Manhattan (Mother Clara Hale) I can assure you Staten Island is the last priority borough in the system unfortunately. Believe it or not the code signs for each boroughs by division priority goes as follows . 1 & 2 Manhattan 3 Bronx 4 Brooklyn 5 Queens 6 Staten Island Staten Island will always be last in priority with the MTA when it comes to major route changes and redevelopment.
@@neiko9251 yea which is sad because I assume Staten Island has the highest bus ridership. I think we got brand new busses once and then they sent them to another borough 😂
@@Project_Storm1999 Well I break it down to you further. Realistically the boroughs with highest bus rider ship is both Staten Island and Queens, with Queens being the highest. Queens is the largest borough in land mass and third largest in population density behind Brooklyn 1st and Manhattan 2nd, the Bronx has high density of population but it’s much less than Manhattan and the land is much smaller. Beyond Flushing in Queens and Jamaica there are virtually no trains with the last station being Hillside Ave 179th st. (Farthest station east) . From Douglaston to Rosedale buses are used (which is a far stretch)
Lazy people who aren’t willing to walk 3 extra blocks for a faster ride. Ya should be greatful that it’s not like other cities where the bus is every 30 min and miles away!
Sorry for those losing their stop along the Q10 & elsewhere. Sad the City Council members, State Senators & State Assembly were unable/unwilling to address their constituents concerns.
@@logik_08 Last I checked there’s a difference with Limited/SBS that has fewer stops (While the LOCAL still EXISTS) vs forcing an ADDITIONAL fare via Q7 & Q9 Bus. Sigh. 😌

@@HorsemanExtreme the express bus network is better then the old 1 imo. I think they can approve the local for the better if they actually tried

@@migloz2898 for some elderly, expectant & disabled..it makes a world of difference. Stay ableist though.
Everything to benefit the MTA ....Plus price hikes.....😊..
Make lemonade! All that means is that there’s a void that’s gonna need to be filled one way or another…

Yep im affected & now would have to get the Q7 to get to it, ill get used to it tho
Yeah it's not like their getting rid of stops so buses can run faster
