I absolutely love the way you've explained measurements for crocheting. It's something I've always struggled with. Please don't delete this video any time soon because I'm going to use your super tutorial to complete my first garment. From all beginners, tyvm! ❤️🔥
Ok, as someone who does loom knitting I find crotchet to be super intimidating! I tried once and the video was not clear in instructions but YOU have changed my mind! I will be running out to get this hook and the supplies soon to learn and make this! Thank you, im subbed 🤍🤍
I’ve been searching for a simple, beginner friendly pattern to make a sweater for my 2 year old. I’ve made a blanket out of granny squares and I have a lot of colourful yarn leftovers. First time ever trying to make a piece of clothing, so thank you for the wonderful explanation ❤
Yes! Yes! It’s finally here, you don’t know how excited I am to finally see this out. Wow! This is the easiest sweater tutorial and you did an amazing job Erin! Thank you so so much. I love that the stitches are very close together and you can wear it all by itself. I will get started tomorrow. ❤❤❤
Making this as a Christmas gift for my daughter this coming Christmas. Thank you so much for clear instructions, can’t wait to see what it will look like completed 😊❤ Blessings
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I am a size 20 and following your instructions my sweater came out perfect. I absolutely love the neckline. I tapered the sleeves a lottle more with 3 rows of single crochet with a decrease in each row. I cannot wait for fall to wear it. ❤❤❤
Super video Erin.. I think I'm abandoning my present project to do this instead, as I have just the yarn I want. Thank you again.. I love all your tutorials. 👍🤗
Thank you I have been trying to find a pattern for sweater for overweight pattern and all is so complicated. Your way is amazing really easy to make thank you so much❤
You've inspired me to crochet my own Crochet Color Block Cardigan. I am making it black and light blue. I am on the front panel of the crochet cardigan. Then do the sleeves then sew up the sides and wear it next month on my bday ~ 12/13 ~
I love your tutorials. Have you ever made a sweater with the moss stitch? My granddaughter is just learning to crochet & id love her to make a super easy sweater.
Is there a reason for slip stitching the side seams rather than whip stitching like you did the shoulders? I love this, looks much nicer than most ‘easy’ patterns, the way you did the sleeves and neck 😊
Thanks for the video!! I’ve been looking for a good simple oversize sweater tutorial + Can u tell us the size ur making so that I know how to make my size cuz I kinda suck at getting the right size
this is SO CUTE im gonna try to make it !! if i want the sweater to be a little sheer should i try another more sheer yarn or will this technique not look sheer at all no matter what yarn i use ? (sorry im new to crocheting)
What a cool pullover 😍 one question: if I want to have it a bit more open (like off shoulder) what do I have to do? I think I have to do the decreases lower, right? So not decrease 2 and then one, both one? Love to read your answer 💞
How do you tie off the ends after a whip stitch to ensure it’s secure? I am also struggling with what you are doing to stitch the sides together? Do you have a slow version of what you do?
I’m having trouble at the end of the rows. I seem to be adding stitches on each row, or when I didn’t put a stitch on to the chain 2 of the previous row, I got a jagged edge.
How many balls of each color did you use ? I want to make something for my husband and this seems like I can make it for his length he’s 6’2 .his skin is also very sensitive but he likes anything soft . Any suggestions is appreciated.
I keep clicking your links and I can’t find the written pattern. It takes me to other patterns. I can watch video but I need something in writing to go with it. The video is nice but do you have it in writing?
I’ve been crocheting for a while, and this is going to be my first sweater. I bought a weight 6 yarn that I thought would be perfect for a sweater. The issue is that I fear following this tutorial with a weight 6 will make the sweater too heavy. What should I do? Do you think following this tutorial with a weight 6 will make the sweater too heavy? I’ve used 1 skein for 6.5 rows on the first panel for reference.
i’m assuming you’ve already made the sweater by now, but sizing up your hook size would be the perfect solution! it would make the fabric less dense which helps with the weight overall, and you wouldn’t have to use so much yarn for the sweater
Does anyone know the difference in outcomes between the extended single crochet she's doing vs an American double crochet? I understand the difference between them, but not the outcome if that makes sense. Do they have different heights and appearances?
wow find it rude that when asked how many balls of each colour is needed to make this sweater it is ignored. yes the yardage is on the screen so not difficult to work out how many balls but surely why not say how many balls of each colour is needed will look for SWEATERS FROM OTHER SITES. CANT BE BOTHERED WITH THESE STUPID GAMES.
Lol I’ve answered this question many times in the comments, all you had to do was read some of my replies 🤷🏻♀️ I just found 3 responses of mine that state “3 balls for each color”!

Love you from Thailand I love how you explain it ❤
Thank you! 😇
I love this sweater pattern! I’m usually a size XL. Should I change the measurements from the video?
The size I made actually fits XL!
This is awesome
Nice video, easy to follow.
Such a great video!! Thank you!

I just did this method so that I wouldn’t have to tie on another yarn, less ends to worry about!
A fabulous tutorial! Explained very well. A really great jumper that I will definitely make. Thanks for taking the time, cheers 👏😊❤️😍🥰💕

Hi. Love ur videos xx
Thanks for the video!!
I’ve been looking for a good simple oversize sweater tutorial

This is like a men’s oversized medium. More like a L or XL on me 💖
@@itserinb ok👍
thanks again❤️
@@itserinbsorry if you answered this already but how much wool did you end up using? Thanks!!!
Thank you 🥰
of course!!
this is SO CUTE im gonna try to make it !! if i want the sweater to be a little sheer should i try another more sheer yarn or will this technique not look sheer at all no matter what yarn i use ? (sorry im new to crocheting)
I just found this. I.ve just finished 3 projects and am ready to try this sweater. Very good video, and easy to understand the decreases. Thankyou.!
It's so beautiful!
thank you!💖
love the sweater ! does this yarn tend to stretch? i’m curious if i should use cotton to prevent stretching . any help would be nice !!
Yes it has stretch! Animals fibers like wool and alpaca aren’t stiff and allow for flexibility 💖
Great video.
Bravissima come sempre,ciao un bacione

I think I have to do the decreases lower, right?
So not decrease 2 and then one, both one?

That could work! Start your neckline a little lower so that you decrease further out!
@@itserinb thank you 🌹 I switch to a jacked - a hoodi style 😎 I love the stich 💝
6:05 .. ignore my comment its just a time marker for me 😅
Love it thanks 😊
Second time watching 🤭🤣🤣🤣🤣🧶🧶🧶
hi erin!! would you say it would be alright to do this same pattern with half double crochet, or is the extended single crucial?? thanks!!
How do you tie off the ends after a whip stitch to ensure it’s secure?
I am also struggling with what you are doing to stitch the sides together? Do you have a slow version of what you do?
I’m making my daughter a sweater for Christmas
Such a great idea!
what’s the color of the yarn on the left side in the beginning of the video? i want to make this in a single color and that light grey is so pretty!
Hi, started on making my sweater but the length keeps getting bigger, i have started with 65 cm chain and on row 4 it's 74cm. What am i doing wrong?
Your initial chain is either too tight, or you may be working extra stitches at the beginning/end of row!
Can we use different stitches for this sweater ?? I was thinking Tunisian but idk if that would work
Love your vid 💘
I’m having trouble at the end of the rows. I seem to be adding stitches on each row, or when I didn’t put a stitch on to the chain 2 of the previous row, I got a jagged edge.
How many skeins did you use of each colour and what was the yard of each skein?
I used about 2 skeins for each color, and 3 for the white!
@@itserinb do you know how long each skein was?
would this still work with a size 4 skein and a 9mm hook, instead of a 6mm hook?
How many balls of each color did you use ? I want to make something for my husband and this seems like I can make it for his length he’s 6’2 .his skin is also very sensitive but he likes anything soft . Any suggestions is appreciated.
Question, is it 380 g yarn in total or per color? ( beginner here so I'm confused)
This was my total yardage for the entire sweater 💖
Hi Erin! I can’t find this pattern and I’d to purchase it.
Hi! It’s available on my website, kofi, ribblr and Ravelry 💖 it’s called the tapered sweater 🥰
I keep clicking your links and I can’t find the written pattern. It takes me to other patterns. I can watch video but I need something in writing to go with it. The video is nice but do you have it in writing?
Yes the pattern is there - it’s called “tapered sweater pattern”. Instead of 3 colors I used 2 for the cover photo ❤️
I’ve been crocheting for a while, and this is going to be my first sweater. I bought a weight 6 yarn that I thought would be perfect for a sweater. The issue is that I fear following this tutorial with a weight 6 will make the sweater too heavy. What should I do? is it posible to make a raglan sweater with this stitch?
😘😘😘
Just wondering if there’s a written pattern I can also follow?
Yes! Pattern on my website is called the tapered sweater ❤️
@@itserinb thank you so much! It looked different to me so I thought it was a different pattern. Is it all in single crochet by any chance?
Thank you. I like yuor exsplanishin
How much yarn did you needed?
Would it work with a 4mm hook?
How many balls of yarn did this take?
Yardage is listed in the video!!
💞💞💞
Does anyone know the difference in outcomes between the extended single crochet she's doing vs an American double crochet? I understand the difference between them, but not the outcome if that makes sense. Do they have different heights and appearances?
I have the same question? A double crochet I feel would turn out just as good and maybe more straight forward? I'm not sure, there must be a reason?
How many yarn you use 3 or more for this size?i am on the way to buy yarn
For this size I believe I used about 3 balls for each color!
Which size r you making?
This ended up being a L-XL!
I have a question did u use in total of 380 grams of yarn or 380 grams of yarn each row?
In total!
How many skeins for this project
may i know how much of yarn u needed
yardage listed in beginning of video!
تحفه بجد
How many balls per color??? Or how many grams per color??? Its not mentioned in the beginning of the video😢
Hi, If I made this sweater with 100gr yarn. Is that okay?
Yes you can! But the outcome of the overall weight and density of the sweater will be different 💖
Around how long does it take to make lol, for an advanced beginner
Hard to say as everyone has their own speeds! I would estimate a week of consistency
Is there a written pattern for this ?
Yes! It’s my tapered sweater pattern ❤️
is it normal if my stitches gets curvy???😶
Curvy in what way? 😅
Love it ! Although she’s going way too fast ?.
Is this pattern no longer available?
Pattern is available on my website, kofi, ribblr and Ravelry 💖
Thanks for responding! I checked your Ravelry and Page and only saw 5 patterns
wait do I only need 3 balls of yarn for this?
No you need multiple! Yardage is listed in the beginning 💖
stupid question, where is the pattern please?
Hi!! I don’t make physical written patterns, only video tutorials 💖
@@itserinb thank you
@@itserinb 65ch is for a bit larger person? Or make it 80 ch?
How would you add a kangaroo pocket to this?
Has anyone tried doing this sweater in Premiere’s New Gradient yarns?
What is your yardage total?
Listed in the video!
i didnt understand what an extended single crochet stitch is and a decrease
I show how to work both stitches multiple times throughout the video!! 💖
Кто-нибудь знает как называется этот элемент?
I’m making a sweater for my grandma. How the tables have turned😏
Is anyone struggling with their yarn curling in on itself? I followed the patterned but my yarn curls in on itself
Hmm might be a tension issue, or the type of yarn you’re using!
