I just finished making this sweater 15 minutes ago. It took me about 4 days. I've only ever crocheted simple blankets. Your instructions were so easy to follow that I didn't even have to look at the written pattern, I did it all from the video. Thanks!!!
@@sylviajacobs31 I did the XL and used one of those jumbo balls of Caron worsted weight yarn. It turned out very big because I didn't take into account that it's supposed to be oversized, not fitted
Nour Tal It came out beautifully!!! I made it a little too big, but for a first sweater, I'm thrilled!! I've now made 4 other sweaters since this one (different patterns). This one definitely gave me confidence!
I find myself coming back to this time and time again. I used this to tackle my first wearable crochet project, and now almost 4 years later it's still my go-to pattern for holiday presents. Quick and simple, but a very cute and wearable end result!
My teenage daughters thought this pattern was adorable. I just finished the first one & it turned out fantastic with Hobby Lobby “I Love This Yarn”. I made the size L for 42 inch bust with I hook for ribbing & H hook for body & it fits just like it shows. I had more rows everywhere but the stitch count came out perfectly in width so I just added length. Took 1 1/2 skeins each of three colors. I did change neck ribbing to slip stitch with H hook instead of single crochet because it came out wavy with SC. Great pattern!
I just made this sweater. It’s my first real adult wearable. It was so easy to understand the pattern and video tutorial. Thank you for giving me the confidence to enhance my crochet skills.
I love a V neck jumper. For me personally I think they give a more trendy look to a finished piece, rather than just a basic boxy jumper. So cute. Keep up the great work Carrie x
I love your sweaters. I did allready 2 different of your patterns, the last 2 weeks. They turned out so perfect. And now I will try this one . Even the ones who looks difficult but beautiful in the structure, you make it so easy to follow.. thank you very much
Hi Carrie! I have just finished my first crochet sweater and all thanks to you! You are such a good teacher! You explained each step clearly and it was easy to see your work. Thank you!!
I just finished making this sweater (dark green, light green, grey) and it turned out nicely. I only altered the ribbing on the neck. That's the second crochet garment I ever made. Thank you for sharing and for your clear and easy instructions.
@@mariacenteno7463 hi, I more or less eyeballed that. I had 4 balls of yarn of each colour. I used 1.5 balls of dark green each for the front and back panels and 0.5 ball for each sleeve, 1 ball of light green each for front, back and the sleeves. I crocheted in grey until the desired length and had about half a ball of grey left. Total length 74 cm, 28 cm dark green, 21 cm light green and 25 cm grey. I hope this helps.
Thanks so much for providing such inclusive sizing with this pattern, I'll definitely be checking out your blog to see more of your patterns~ Fantastic work!
Thank you for this pattern. Finished my sweater/jumper today (9/27/24)...started a week ago. I used DC but followed all of your steps. It came out lovely. Color: All Dark Purple/Amethyst with just one lavender and one charcoal grey stripe together (2 rows each only) on the bottom front panel about 6 rows above the ribbing. The ribbed neck, I made it charcoal grey. Just lovely. My first sweater. I made a few errors in counting and had to frog some as I worked on the panels. Glad I did! Looking forward to wearing it during the winter months. Thanks again.
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart... I doubted myself for so long for being able to crochet anything rather than scarves... I just finished the sweater it took me two weeks watching your tutorial was easy and very detailed yet not too long thank you!! Greetings from Egypt
I wanted to let you know that I just completed this sweater! Thank you so much! It was very easy to understand your instructions. I'm a little rusty with my crocheting skills because I haven't crocheted in years but, I was able to pick it back up with ease. It took me about 3 weeks crocheting on and off in my spare time. I love your way of teaching and I will start the basket weave sweater today as well! Definitely looking forward to creating your other projects in the future!
Excellent pattern. Ready to make my own V neck sweater. Love learning new tricks. Have been crocheting for almost 70 years and you are the best teacher ever. Thank you so much. Happy crocheting everyone.

I just finished making this sweater, which was my first wearable, other than shawls, hats, headbands, and scarves. Although it’s bulkier than I had hoped, I am thrilled with it! I used a 4 weight yarn, but I think it was a little too stiff for this pattern. I wear an XL, and started making that size, but after seeing how large it was going to be, I frogged it, and scaled down to the Large. Thank you for such an easy to follow video and written instructions!
