I was just thinking I need to make my fiance this for Christmas and now that I've seen this comment I need to also make myself one too. It's not like I don't have 8 WIPs already, let's round it out with a clean 10! Lol but no actually great pattern and great suggestions, whoa!
Omg how did you read my mind! I have literally been scouring the Internet to find a mens shirt pattern for my husband and you've uploaded the perfect one!! Thank you!!!
Heyy erin b, Thank you so much for taking the time to show us how to crochet this amazing top! I’m a huge fan of fiber arts, especially anything related to knitwear and crochet. I wish I had a model like yours in my life, but I’m learning to be my own inspiration. How do you manage to do it all-crochet, fashion, photography? You should be really proud of yourself because I am so proud to see this video. You’re truly inspiring! 😅
Love it! Finished my own cropped version within a week. Only thing I struggled with was the neckline but once it clicked it was easy. Oh and I chose the lemon peel stitch instead, the waistcoat stitch gave me so much trouble haha
@@carolparmar4970 I'll try! you work in rows, but not long rows around the entire collar, but only short rows that should be the amount of stitches that you left out in the front. so if you did four stitches like in the video, you start in that one corner like she's showing and place four single crochets in those four stitches. then you chain one, turn and do four sc's into the top of the ones you just placed and should be back on that side of the panel where you started. this time, instead of chaining one, you slipstitch into the side panel and turn, and do 4 sc's again. you repeat those two rows of 4 all around the neckline until you reach the opposing corner from where you started. so its always one row that is connected to the side of the panel, the next one stays open and ends with a chain one etc. hope this helps!
@@mlovess3813 yes I did everything else the same, ofc the stitch count will be different according to your own measurements but other than that it worked out just fine. So I did the sleeves with lemon peel stitch too, but the collar and seams exactly like in the video
This is an amazing tutorial, lovet it! I want to know how did u add the yarn on your sleeve n on ur neckline..coz I'm a beginner Now I'm at the sleeves n confuseddddd Pls do reply
Fantastic design I’m having trouble making the sleeves the arm hole keeps getting smaller and I 11 rows instead of 15 with one decrease at the top and the color I did 3 rows
hi erin, i really really realllly love your videos! when you say a 19” ch, is that 19” lying flat or 19” when the chain is stretched? i’m a pretty advanced crocheter, but i always have issues with getting the sizing correct
I am still on the first row of the waist coat stitch, my problem has been the stitches are too loose then too tight. I've started over 3 times, used a 6 hook to do first 2 rows, then went to a 5 and their still too tight. It would have been nice if you would have stretched the pieces some so I can see how big the holes get. I am contemplating getting a buying a bigger hook and starting over lolol
Would you be able to recommend any substitute yarn that might be less expensive? As a beginner, I’m hoping not to spend too much on something that I may not be able to pull off lol. Especially since I need to make a XL and will need a lot of yarn. I see on universal website this yarn is $10 per ball.
Of course!! I don’t have any specific lines of yarn but for this type of shirt I would recommend a cotton/acrylic blend, 100% cotton, or any acrylic/nylon or acrylic/poly blend! Joann and michaels have a bunch of these for a little more affordable 💖
Hi Erin, I’m doing this polo for my son in law. It’s really beautiful but omg the waist coast stitch is beautiful but so tiring😢 on my hands. I don’t if I crocheting to tide or loose. Can you give me some advice really appreciate
i love it 🤎 but i have a little question. what if I wanna make it like pullover. what should I do for sleeves? Do you have any suggestions i am so new to crocheting and I have no ldea 😂
If I did this with weight 4 yarn should I use a 6.5 mm hook or what do you recommend? I want to use a bigger weight in order for it to work up faster because I want to try to get it done in 2 weeks
The question I need answered is it 19 inches stretched or with the yarn completely lax. I’m using wool yarn and with a single chain stitch, it is still very stretchy. Is the stretch supposed to equal the 19th inches??? i’m a beginner lol
I did row 3 just fine but it’s not flat. i guess i didn’t make the waist stitch tight enough. 21 inches turned into 23 some how. but gotta start over anyways.
my guess is she connected the yarn at one corner of the neckline, sc across until she reached the other corner, then did a chain 1 turned her work, then sc back to the side she started on and slip stitched into it and did that back and forth all the way around the neckline until she reached the other end

hey how did you do the neckline? can you please explain , would really appreciate it!

When you did lemon peel stitch was everything the same as the pattern like sleeves? I wanna try lemon peel for this pattern too.

@@panic_maniac I know I am like a year late but this explanation made this part of the tutorial so much more clear to me, thank you!!
Such a fabulous shirt you designed! Been looking for such a shirt with more closed stitches. Jordan wears it well! 😉🦋
Every time you upload I’m suddenly not tired and it’s time to get my hook out ❤ #nightshiftlife
Incredible work. I crochet. But our climate is tropical and I'm always warm so I can never enjoy wearing my own work.
I feel this. My partner gets warm very quickly so I can’t use warm fibers too! 💖
Wow! You out did yourself! This is a cool shirt definitely going to make one for my son. Thank you!
Yes!!! I've been waiting for this one
You’re the sweetest! ❣️
I love it going to make one for my brother

Hi Erin! I love how this came out, I’m wondering how much of the yarn did u end up using?
I am wondering this too!
It looks FIREEEE ❤️🔥🔥
Thank you!!
This is incredible!!How much yarn did it take u please? So i can buy all what i need at once
If you use the link in my description for Universal Yarn, I used 7 balls for this exact size!
my dads very excited now, btw how many balls of yarn did u actually end up using?
I used 7 of the Rico design but if you want to use diff yarn I have the yardage listed in the video ❣️
Thank you for your work! In the case if size is less shall I reduce the number of chains?
Woohoo! It is here 😍
Hi erin! Wanted to ask if 100% cotton yarn might be a good option to make this polo
çok güzel videolarınız var hepsini izleyip beğeniyorum
umarım Türkçe transkrip yaparsınız
How many yarn balls did u use?
It stunning 😍
Thank you!!
How much yarn did you use
Love it!!!

Absolutely!!
I was thinking, can I make this with linen stitches? 😮
hi! how many ball of yarns did u use?

what kind of stitch am i gonna be making after the 3rd row is done?
Need answers asap. thank youuu
half double crochet :)
How can make it into a 2XL shirt

This pattern is not stretch to fit, it’s a casual loose fitting tee 💖
I did row 3 just fine but it’s not flat. i guess i didn’t make the waist stitch tight enough. 21 inches turned into 23 some how. but gotta start over anyways.
Wow wow
How many rows is the neckline
where did you find the jarn?
could someone explain the neckline more? please
gostei muito desse ponto. A agulha pega no meio do ponto ao invés de pegar na correntinha. tks.
how long in inches was the decrease?
None of the links you Posted for the PDF patterns are for this patterns, Where is the link for the link to the PDF for this pattern?
❤
Hiii! Is it 19 inches when stretched or chains that reached 19 inches for the foundation? Thank you!
Hi!! 19 inch chain lying flat! If you want you can also work HDC foundation row to the length of 19 inches (not stretched)!
Hi Erin! I’m coming back to ask how many rows did you have for the neckline? :)
Yo is this hard for a beginner?
It depends. Some beginners say they can do a project this size and others say it’s intermediate!!
How long did this take you ?
One week!
hey how long did this take u ?
Where can I buy this
Omg i dont understand the neckline 😩 i cant finish. Helpp
my guess is she connected the yarn at one corner of the neckline, sc across until she reached the other corner, then did a chain 1 turned her work, then sc back to the side she started on and slip stitched into it and did that back and forth all the way around the neckline until she reached the other end
🥳🥳🥳
I will try to make this. Please assist if I get stuck. It’s really amazing style.
can someone please explain the neckline???
Why don't you use your own made hooks? Just asking
I do I just don’t film it all the time
I don’t get the neckline
Such a beautiful man,wow.
Misericórdia kkkkkkk quero em português
What ply is that😭😭😭
why’s the guy so fine tho
BTW NICE PATTERN I LOVE IT
LOL thank you!!
This is not beginner friendly tho what a messed up stitch 😭
