    Heyy erin b,
    Thank you so much for taking the time to show us how to crochet this amazing top! I’m a huge fan of fiber arts, especially anything related to knitwear and crochet. I wish I had a model like yours in my life, but I’m learning to be my own inspiration. How do you manage to do it all-crochet, fashion, photography? You should be really proud of yourself because I am so proud to see this video. You’re truly inspiring! 😅

    Love it! Finished my own cropped version within a week. Only thing I struggled with was the neckline but once it clicked it was easy. Oh and I chose the lemon peel stitch instead, the waistcoat stitch gave me so much trouble haha

    • @carolparmar4970
      @carolparmar4970 Год назад

      hey how did you do the neckline? can you please explain , would really appreciate it!

    • @panic_maniac
      @panic_maniac Год назад +1

      @@carolparmar4970 I'll try! you work in rows, but not long rows around the entire collar, but only short rows that should be the amount of stitches that you left out in the front. so if you did four stitches like in the video, you start in that one corner like she's showing and place four single crochets in those four stitches. then you chain one, turn and do four sc's into the top of the ones you just placed and should be back on that side of the panel where you started. this time, instead of chaining one, you slipstitch into the side panel and turn, and do 4 sc's again. you repeat those two rows of 4 all around the neckline until you reach the opposing corner from where you started. so its always one row that is connected to the side of the panel, the next one stays open and ends with a chain one etc. hope this helps!

    • @mlovess3813

      When you did lemon peel stitch was everything the same as the pattern like sleeves? I wanna try lemon peel for this pattern too.

    • @panic_maniac
      @panic_maniac 8 месяцев назад

      @@mlovess3813 yes I did everything else the same, ofc the stitch count will be different according to your own measurements but other than that it worked out just fine. So I did the sleeves with lemon peel stitch too, but the collar and seams exactly like in the video

    I am still on the first row of the waist coat stitch, my problem has been the stitches are too loose then too tight. I've started over 3 times, used a 6 hook to do first 2 rows, then went to a 5 and their still too tight. It would have been nice if you would have stretched the pieces some so I can see how big the holes get. I am contemplating getting a buying a bigger hook and starting over lolol

    Would you be able to recommend any substitute yarn that might be less expensive? As a beginner, I’m hoping not to spend too much on something that I may not be able to pull off lol. Especially since I need to make a XL and will need a lot of yarn. I see on universal website this yarn is $10 per ball.

    • @itserinb
      @itserinb  Год назад +1

      Of course!! I don’t have any specific lines of yarn but for this type of shirt I would recommend a cotton/acrylic blend, 100% cotton, or any acrylic/nylon or acrylic/poly blend! Joann and michaels have a bunch of these for a little more affordable 💖

    The question I need answered is it 19 inches stretched or with the yarn completely lax. I’m using wool yarn and with a single chain stitch, it is still very stretchy. Is the stretch supposed to equal the 19th inches??? i’m a beginner lol
