It hurts to watch videos on sweet silencers when you live in a state that makes them illegal 😭
Massachusetts here, tons of guns, not a single silencer (kind of), we are working hard to change that though.
@@Isaac_5.56x45 with Healy in charge, I don’t see them becoming legal anytime soon. I do hope someone with deep enough pockets can make some noise that leads to some change. But so far I’ve been let down with how the public tends to vote away their 2nd amendment rights in MA. You’d think one of the oldest parts of our country would care a bit more about the constitution this country was built upon.
Yes it dose
We all infringed. Only Wealthy Butt Kissers are allowed them.
@@Isaac_5.56x45LOL Im in California and suppressors are illegal here as well, but there are plenty of cans just in the hands of police and other gangs / criminals.
Great work as always Chad. Great shoutout to Jay at Pew Science. He's over at /r/NFA regularly.
Love watching suppressor videos! It makes me want more and more
This is pretty cool. I'm glad you covered this one
Good to see you Chad, great info.
Thank you so much. I love my OSS HX QD 556. Your content is extremely valuable and I still proudly display your autographs that I got in a Man Can quite a few years ago.
Awesome Chad, thanks for the share
Tried out my 7.62 and 5.56 suppressors today . Quiet 🤫. And when I tried the hxqd 7.62 on the ar15 it was even more quiet . Did not need ear protection using either suppressor. I’m more than happy I purchased this product.
good to see the new tech
I always liked OSS cans from the first time I saw them at shot show when they were brand new. I knew the design would ultimately require 3-D printing to be reliable, and when I saw the machined & assembled cans coming apart in the field sadly I was correct, but now that it seems they have perfected the 3-D printing and change their name to I assume distance themselves from the problems they had in the beginning I have a feeling they will be very successful. I know soon as I get out of California and get my FFL again I will be selling these cans as well as using them myself.
Wow. I'm going to have to build one of those machines
Thats amazing 👏.
HO-HO-HO, merry Christmas gentlemen.. keep the information coming, George
Wow I'm amazed
Definitely a nice looking can!
this is awesome😍😍😍
Good video brother
That looks like your modern James Bond silencer! Very stylish, too. 007 Forever! 👀
Looks good. I want 2.
Cough up $2500 or so 🫠
Simply the best Suppressor ever.
That's awesome
I already put in my paperwork 2 months ago, didn't know it had a 10,000 round limit, but hopefully cleaning it as the manual states (submerging it in solvent for 24hrs) after every range would bump up the round count. HUXWRX is a little unsure about their warranty with this suppressor and said it'll be a case by case for repairs.
The low round count is the FBI minimum requirements which include full auto, never cleaning, and a short barrel. It can go well past 10k and preform as well as our old cans when it comes round count.
I got this as well when it gets approved so far I'm at 5 months I'll probably put in for one of their HX-QD
Dawg that’s 10k round count with 0 cleaning and full auto
I'm waiting for the trucking LLC technology to catch up. Never the first edition
What kills all my silencers.(yes respect OG H. Maxim lol) call it whatever muffler, can but I got stainless, aluminum, titanium ect. variants for different calibers. Short barrels and HEAT! That's what kills cans. I have a 100% titanium banish 30 that stays on a Mk18 and just gets beat up the baffles will erode and pit. I have one on a RPR bolt gun and it looks brand new. Just my 2 cents.
Hello Chad where can I find the video you made on handloads for the M1A you did a few years ago. It was awesome. Thanks
I love my 556 TI
It's about time
Would y’all do a video on the Law Tactical ARIC? I’m interested in them, but I don’t know if I would trust them as anything more than a range toy.
What’s the cool silver thingy on the rail of the 11’
I live in Illinois… i can only admire from a distance
I cant wait for it to be affordable for the home hobbyist to be able to 3D print metal at home.
Been waiting for years, once it does happen I bet the tech gets license controlled just like FFL/FEL
Counting down the days till shes released from my ffl...
Nice
I want one sooooooo bad!!!
Man I'm still waiting on a suppressor from 4 months ago, was hoping to stop at 2 but some of the newest latest and greatest make that hard.
lol only 4
@@mattyb249 When I bought the eForm said a median wait of 4 months, now its up to 8 months. Biggest reason for not buying more suppressors: the year long wait times.
Must be nice to be a Wealthy Butt Kisser.
@@Sizukun1 lol i feel it. same here. waited 7 for my first just under 9 for my second

How about doing a huxwrk's Ca$h 9 on a 350 legend? I'm looking for a can to muffle my 350 legend to hunt with.
It's hard to tell on video but it sounds pretty quiet. Looks like a nice suppressor.
Check pewscience for detailed review. Don't base suppressor performance off youtube
@@lolaland5595 lol, do you know what is at the top of the pew science list?

it would be cool to see a cutaway
If a can review mentions Pew Science, it is a legit review (no sarcasm)
I'm ready for SpectersCAT
I wonder if an ultrasonic bath after every range outing would lengthen the life of the can or if it's more to due with the metal fatigue.
I hope to see a reply to your comment.

I’m wondering if this would be a good fit for my X95?
please do a meltdown on the DDM4V7 !!
30 cal version coming soon?
😍😍
That tacomhq though!!!
Why does no one do any reviews on griffin cans. Jay over and pew doesn't. I'm really interested in their dual-lok and their HRT, but no one does any reviews
I’m also extremely interested in the dual lok 5 but see no real review especially pew science
You said it out preforms the original K can ever so slightly. Is it worth upgrading then if you already have the original K can?
There is a night in a difference I would recommend checking out Pew Science
hi sir how can i buy this silencer pls?
Do you think you'll ever make another meltdown video? preferably to an Aero Precision rifle ?
Cries in New Jersey
whre to buy
I’m on day 242 waiting for mine
My concern would be repair ability.
Yeah I think it would be toast
I love my OSS 556 , but hate that the new company made the muzzle break obsolete and I can’t buy a new one !!!
The muzzle devices are the same and have not changed.

Check your facts ! IFM6 Helix are a proprietary !!
I'm still waiting on my 7.62 oss can. 265 days now. 90 days my ass! I'm waiting on 4 cans! I'm so pissed. Not buying any more until I get atleast one out.
Is the blow back on these cans really significantly lower than the more "normal" non flow through cans? That is my biggest issue being a left handed shooter with rifles. I would almost have to go either left eject or bullpup from the blow back I get on cans.
Yes they are. I can't shoot traditional can with an ar but I can with my oss. Best part is zero gas block/buffer weight tuning. If your a lefty how would a bullpup help? You want hot brass ejected directly into your face?
@@spcpitts Something like the MDR forward eject where it sits really low. Or similar to that if it's a bullpup. As long as it's on the left side or atleast capable.
Yes it's a night and day difference!
Chad is the can man
Some it’s sintered Stainless Steel, I wonder if it could be cleaned with an ultra sonic cleaner to extend its service life.
There is no point to life to think I'd never be able to afford this or get this just to have fun with
You OK?
Anyone else not notice any gas on traditional cans, at least if not mag dumping?
An ultra sonic cleaner should be able to knock those deposits out
Working on 18 months to get paper work back.
Would one of these suppressors work on a DPMS Oracle 5.56 ?
Yes
Is the barrel threaded? If yes then yes. If no, replace barrel with one that is and you're good to go. It's not rocket science.
FYI ... currently efile applications are processing in approximately 250+ days and with the, "brace" rule foolishness looming I'm betting the back log will again grow to well over a year for apps to be processed.
I'm already over that 250 days! In the beginning I was being told under 90 days now every time I start hearing a new number it doesn't happen.
Mine took over a year. :(
I need to fi d someone here in Kansas that sales these because now I want one.......
Round life is a big turn off for the cost. I keep saying this. Otherwise.... It's definitely the future of suppressors. Amazing design and I'm sure they'll figure out a way to make the round count outlast any of your weapons
Any idea how to remove them if they’re carbon locked?
I’m pulling my paperwork for mine. There are too many variables with this can. Especially the service life.
"The low round count is the FBI minimum requirements which include full auto, never cleaning, and a short barrel. It can go well past 10k and preform as well as our old cans when it comes to round count."
Seams incredibly similar to the velos. To the point i ask which one was designed first and who was the informant lmao
These are cool, but a real argument (again) for repealing the NFA (or at the very least taking suppressors off the NFA) because 10K rounds isn't great for something you cannot recore and basically own for life. Or, if you have a strike of some kind you're out a can due to the way it was made. For gov work, none of those things matter. For your average person, it is a bit of a letdown over the long run.
The entire point of the NFA is to make ownership of things like silencers and SBRs onerous and "not worth it" for the average person because they don't actually want you to have these at all. The only reason people do it now is because they forgot to account for inflation when they made the stamp cost $200 in 1934. If a tax stamp still cost the equivalent of a new car today most of us wouldn't even think of owning these as they would be completely unobtainable for the average person.
The low round count is the FBI minimum requirements which include full auto, never cleaning, and a short barrel. It can go well past 10k and preform as well as our old cans when it comes round count.
wow everyone on here must be made of money, worried about having to replace after 10k rounds. Even at .50 cents a round that's $5k no way I could afford to blow that much in ammo. You all act like you go through that each time at the range geez @@HUXWRX
Chad 😎
I’m now it’s a can of worms but the 10k round life span: Is that way below par?
The low round count is the FBI minimum requirements which include full auto, never cleaning, and a short barrel. It can go well past 10k and preform as well as our old cans when it comes round count.
So it’s not cleanable and only good for 10k rounds? What do you do after that?

To clean it just soak it in some cleaner and shot it!
more than big enough ;-;
10,000 rds kind of bummer for a can for life.
On a good day thats more than $4,000 dollars worth of ammo. More like $9-10k. At that point I would assume you could afford another.
The low round count is the FBI minimum requirements which include full auto, never cleaning, and a short barrel. It can go well past 10k and preform as well as our old cans when it comes round count.
@@HUXWRX thanks for clarifying. Thats good info, what would be the expected round count in a semi auto platform in a carbine class or 3 gun environment?
@@greatlakespowerstrokefx4 a lot! If you maintain your suppressor youll burn a few guns out before you burn the suppressor out.
@HUXWRX Could you safely recommend this suppressor for an 8.3-inch Galil ACE? If so, would it be hearing safe with sub-sonics?
I'm looking at my first rifle can, and this is looking like a solid contender. Or really, the ONLY contender, since I see very little info out there concerning other suppressors, mounted on barrels as short as the one I have.
If only they made a shorty like this that was .30 cal and overbarrel. Would do very well.
Why would it do "very well" just because it's 30 cal and "over barrel" exactly? Sounds like something you came up with just because it's what you want. Honestly it's dumb.
@@ZboeC5 Because, firstly, small things tend to be lighter. .30 cal tends to be bigger and heavier. You might even try to extrapolate that thought out to "longer" also. Now imagine a 6" .30 cal over-barrel suppressor only adding 3 inches to your build? Maybe you don't fully understand any of this, considering your response to my comment. It also would provide nice aesthetics onto AR platforms hiding that ugly barrel protrusion beyond the rail (depending on length of rail, had to mention this for you in particular). You're gonna try to argue any aspect you can against me now, even after reading my prediction.
@@exhaustus7437 So a long explanation proving nothing. Nice. As someone that owns suppressors and ARs I fully understand what you are saying, I also understand it's just dumb. A suppressor being "over barrel" doesn't make it better and makes it even longer and heavier most of the time. The only reason any suppressor was ever made that way was for barrel alignment and to keep it concentric. Maybe you mean integral but that's not the same thing either. It just won't work the way you think it will. You don't want the blast going backwards into the can because the buildup would be insane.
@@ZboeC5 i believe he wants a 30 cal version to run on a lr308 or similar platform as well as the ability to run it on a 556 platform. Which i fully support. Would be a gem on a ak or lr platform.
The rating is at 10,000 rounds if a person never cleans it. Clean it as recommended and it will outlast many other cans way beyond 10K.
The future is now

So this is the OSS Helix?
OSS changed their name to this stupid crap name hUxwRX so lame...
OSS was easier to spell
I thought that was really loud compared to some of the others I've made homemade ones quieter than that
Fist!
So its $100 per Db reduction and it lasts 2 years (shooting 5k per year) and its LOUD. Ummm no thanks!
Expensive. Takes a long time to get. If you pass atf scrutiny.
No thanks. Oil can better
Would you believe me if I told you that I have something better or equal.
The build up ruins barrel harmonics! At first it dose not effect accuracy. As that carbon builds up you will see an accurate rifle start to shoot not so nice groupings.

Very cool technology. But with a shorter service life, generally worse performance, higher level of maintenance, and a higher price tag…I’ll stick to my conventional cans. Printing - or sintering - is supposed to reduce overhead, reduce labor, and reduce cost, not increase it. One day I suppose.
