Thank you so much for your video. My husband was at work and I was going to mow the yard and it would not move. After watching your video, I went out and looked and sure enough the belt had come off the top pulley. My hand was small enough that I used a screwdriver to get it back on the pulley and I got the yard mowed. I’m very thankful to you for letting me know what to look for.
@@k-dyi4365 at the time it was stuck at the bottom of my property downhill and I didn't have access to a 4wd vehicle. It was about 10 minutes from raining and it rained for it a few days non-stop. I was able to use this video and get my mower running, get it into the barn, and get inside right before the downpour.
I had an older husqavara with the manual trans 15 yrs, sold it to my uncle to buy a new one hydrostatic, the biggest piece of junk mistake I've ever made ! That changed the color of my mowers to JD green !
I just got this mower fixed for another $400, mowed for an hour and now it won’t move. I’ve spent over $1000 this year alone in repairs. I’m so over it. Hope this works.
What model is your mower , I need to replace my variable speed pulley and it’s same as yours but mine is mcculloch but that pulley looks exactly as the one I have .
These huskavarna model riders have plastic transmissions do yourself a favor and don’t spend your money on them.. my brother in law has regretted it now for 2 years so many drive problems
This may be true, but I bought mine without knowing, but it's been good for 16 yrs being a country mower, pretty rough usage. I'll buy a better quality next time but can't really complain. It'll mow grass about 2 ft higher than the hood. I hope mines just a missing belt.
my arien rider did this it was spinning but belts were slipping i got a can of belt dressing and sprayed the belts and pulleys and back to norm . i've had my mower maybe 5 years or more and never sprayed the belts , what was i thinking .
I have a YTH18542 lawnmower wont go in reverse or forward. Belt is in place from what I have seen, when it starts rolling down the hill the brakes don't work, and it will move sometimes with the blade engaged. It has me stumped, possible my transmission is going out?
After watching several videos yours was the first that actually fixed my issue. Straight forward with no BS. Thank you for saving me costly repairs.

You Sir are awesome. Thank you very much. I had my head in my hands as well when the belt slipped off (I didn't know it was the belt at first). 🙂
Thank you for sharing this video, saved me 250-300€ in repair cost 👍🏼
This is my exact same mower and exact same problem. Thank you sir. You saved the day.
Glad to help

Great video! I put mine up on my oil change ramps instead of taking the front off. Got it fixed in 5 min! 🎉🎉🙌🙌

So sorry for the late reply, not sure but it’s probably the linkage from the pedal not engaging the transmission
Thanks for everyone that replied, my issue ended up being a missing axle key on the driver side.
Can’t see too much dude
Get rid of the gloves man.
