Well maybe he (Snape) was dreaming that part. Maybe he dreamt all those scenes between him and the Marauders. The only thing he didn’t dream was him sitting in the bar and meeting voldemort. @@kingdaymon6433 Snape became a Death Eater but still loved Lily. Also, he betrayed Voldemort, even before his downfall at the end of the first Wizarding War
I actually feel it makes more sense for James to still be immature. That’s the vibe I’ve always had of him and Sirius and Lupin’s perspectives are eschewed when they talk to Harry about him. James was their friend and their perspective is still biased no matter what bad tea they told him. So when they tell Harry he “grew out of it” is still vague and leaves out a lot of details. And if you listen to the radio drama, he does mature a lot more over the course of it so that makes up for it all. On that note, please react to it! It follows up on this film
But it doesn't mean he didn't actually grow out of it or that they lied. We're told James only continued to hex Snape in 7th year because Snape was also cursing him. Otherwise, he stopped hexing people just for fun. But this film shows him go after Snape unprovoked after they left school. Even if it's possible, it's still showing a worst possibility that isn't necessarily canon. It earned James so much of hate for something he only did in a fanfilm. Their radio show doesn't make up for it because a lot more people watched this but not the radio series.
James used to be a bully. But in year 7, he stopped bullying and hexing just for fun. And I have read somewhere that Snape was the one provoking and persuading James for a fight
The catching of the rock was a call back to James being a seeker (though in the book he was a chaser I think but movie showed him a seeker so it makes sense I guess)
I personally think that if Lily really did hug Snape againg and said those words, he wouldn't become a deadeater afterwards. He loved her so much that he wouldn't let that go to a waist
I think the idea is that he was never a loyal death eater. Atleast in the universe of this fan film. It’s also a theory that a lot of people hold. That he joined with the intention of turning spy and didn’t get an opportunity until dumbledore approached him. Though personally I don’t think that’s that valid.
Still one of my favourite fan-films of all time. Just don't ask me how many times I watched the film (and the cast's reaction to the film which is also on RUclips)
Theyve even continued the story as a series - The great wizarding war , in the form of audio-only- episoides on yt as well as spotify... the story is amazing!
Well to be fair Snape was going to kill James. Sure James bullied him throughout their Hogwarts years but James never took it as far as murder. Not to mention he saved Snape from Remus when he was in his Werewolf form
@@soo1579 um, snape wasn't even trying to tho. If he wanted to kill james he prolly would have done it ages ago... He just wanted james to shut up from what I saw initially. It was after he tried to use fiendfyre, Snape was pushed to this extent.
2:18 yes slughorn mentioned that regulus was on of his best student and he had a picture of him and said that he wanted the whole set of the black family but he didn't get Sirius in the half blood prince book.
I found this fanfilm carved deep in my mind, I watched it like 20 times (not kidding) cause it's having his own fascinating soul. The music is incredible done and it got dark and nostalgic tones that are very familiar with the image I have for Snape. I would really love to see a tv series about it with those actors, they are just perfect for the roles. I appreciated a lot Potter in this dark mood, cause it's really how I imagine him, and Snape fighting and winning against four people it's something that makes sense, if you consider he's using dark magic. I love everything about this, and the quality it's just spot on. I'm really sad they didn't just made another movie, talking about the beginning of the war, still from Snape's pov
Haha , ive watched it many times too!! It seems great! Sad they didnt make another movie , but they did continue this story in the audio-only- episoides on yt , as well as spotify ,i found the story absolutely brilliant 🔥, they did have a few plot holes ... its worth checking out !
Just saw the thumbnail 4 this about 5 seconds ago. making this comment before watching it. i never would have thought movie flame would review this!!! i am nerding out here!!!!
Slug horn said ‘I got his brother when he came along but I would have liked the set’ referring to regulas and Sirius so I think yes Regulas was in the slug club.- if I remember the quote correctly
Slughorn was head of Slytherin. He got Regulus, but wanted Sirius as well. But Sirius was sorted into Gryffindor. That’s what it’s referring, not the slug club. Hope that helps!
I liked this review. I don't necessarily feel it was out of character for James to be bullying. He was out on his last hurrah with his buds, it's only natural to fall into old patterns.
That's because he made another Horcrux, Nagini while being brought back to life by Barty Crouch Jr. and Wormtail, by killing Bertha Jorkins, so he got red eyes from making his final Horcrux. And in the book he had red eyes after making 4 horcruxes.
But he was already really freaky looking before his fall. The kid he meets on Halloween when he's going after the Potters thinks he has a mask on at first and then runs away scared, and that was in 1981. By Harry's account, we know he was already starting to look freaky in the late 50s when he was asking Dumbledore for a teaching post.
Pettigrews wand-work is very rat like, I like that touch alot. Also that scene with Snape and voldermort had a very sith-like feeling to it. Very palpatine esque by voldermort.
Man, Wow. Going into this I had no idea what to expect, like, maybe I'll get some cool ideas that my imagination can play around with. but, wow! Looks like I'm going to have to watch these fan films.
Well keep in mind Snape is the one telling the story so he's probably depicatating James as more of an a$$hole than he actually was. Plus James is intoxicated and it's graduation day and they have a lot of fear from Voldemort and they're friends dying, so it's probably why he started a fight w/Snape, cause he's drunk and fear from Voldemort and for his friends made him take it out on Snape. Edit: Forgot to mention James's parents would've just died from Dragon Pox as they died very soon after James and Lily were married, which they are here, when it shows Lily's ring.
I think this fan film is amazing the actors and the special effects were incredible especially the magic the people who made the film got all of the characters right and I love how powerful Snape was all and all this was a very good film.🐀🐕🐺🐍
That's why James runs at Severus, to get his wand back. Plus he's upset Severus just beat him because now he would have to stay away from Lily, if was to keep
This fan video has been a favorite of mine for a long time. I really liked your professional review of it. In regards to James' character, I've always thought that he improved from generally pranking and hexing, but still made an exception for Snape. I loved Morgana (Mick) Ignis' performance as Snape.
I completely agree with you morgan, even I saw this fan film, and they just tried to make Snape the hero and James as an immature and bullying git who thinks of lily as a prize. I lost it at 8:44 in the deathly hallows Ron told that fiendfire is a dark spell and a member of the order would use that? Bah I give this a 5/10 for the visual effects and sound score

I really liked ur reaction to the fam film! there is another fam film, which is actually one of my personal favs " Neville Longbottom and the Black Witch" by Muggle Flix.
To think James wasn't a bully is wrong. This portrait of James is really spot on. "You're just like your father. Arrogant. Weak." None of the marauders could beat Snape one on one. James ran his mouth and couldn't back it up without his friends. Hence the arrogant and weak statement. Loved this fan film. I would love to see this era covered in a movie.
4:25 is exactly why I don't enjoy most fan films as well. Same goes for the one (my mind blanked on the name) following young Hogwarts/Borgin and Burkes Tom Riddle in which he is completely untactical and brazen which is not how Tom Riddle was, he was methodical, plotting, scheming, non confrontational unlike how he was in the fan movie.

@@Tasha9315 Right. This fanfilm alone gained James so much hate, so much that he did not deserve
James used to be a bully. But in year 7, he stopped bullying and hexing just for fun. And I have read somewhere that Snape was the one provoking and persuading James for a fight
@@hanantkm Exactly. Some claim the lied, but there's hard evidence they lied. Being James's bffs doesn't indefinitely proof they lied.
@@Tasha9315 Yes, I agree. But only very few Potterheads would agree with us, sadly
I liked the Snape preformance, Always was interested in this period od his life
You should react to Sister Of The House Black by Kelsey Ellison, and Mischief Managed by (Idk whon it was by)
Yasss it was awesome I loved it okay but the bellatrix there was - craxy
Sisters of House Black by Kelsey Ellison is my favorite fan film, it was so good!
foregone films i think
I recommend Neville Longbottom and the Black Witch
I'm also looking to make my own fan film soon hopefully!
The catching of the rock was a call back to James being a seeker (though in the book he was a chaser I think but movie showed him a seeker so it makes sense I guess)
James was never a seeker. He was a chaser or keeper can't remember but the movie was wrong James' wasn't a seeker.
Even though he wasn’t a seeker, in the books he still had a habit of casually playing around with a golden snitch so I guess it’s a callback to that
@@hache4329 Yes, and Harry who is a seeker himself notices his excellent reflexes.
Yessss absolutely next-level production from Broad Strokes 😌😌
Theyve even continued the story as a series - The great wizarding war , in the form of audio-only- episoides on yt as well as spotify... the story is amazing!
You should really watch The Sisters Of House Black. It’s really good
James and his friends: use fieldfare and attack snape against his will
snape: takes his revenge
lily: comes in at the one time snape has beaten them
Lol lily ruining everything
Also Snape: Massive plot armor 4v1 and director bias
Well to be fair Snape was going to kill James. Sure James bullied him throughout their Hogwarts years but James never took it as far as murder. Not to mention he saved Snape from Remus when he was in his Werewolf form
@@soo1579 um, snape wasn't even trying to tho. If he wanted to kill james he prolly would have done it ages ago... He just wanted james to shut up from what I saw initially. It was after he tried to use fiendfyre, Snape was pushed to this extent.
@@soo1579 at least that was my perspective
when Morgan said "Maybe some Hunger Games or Star Wars fan films too" my face lit up and I got this huuuuge grin on my face
You should react to Voldemort: Origins of the heir
A very good film. I think these fans were Russian
He already did
Can you react to Neville longbottom and the black witch.....it’s another Harry Potter fan film it’s really great!
Yep
“What the heck was that? That looks like jimmy neutron’s brain blast” 😂😂😂
LMAOOOO
The aperating was so good and then there was what ever the heck that was 🤣
2:18 yes slughorn mentioned that regulus was on of his best student and he had a picture of him and said that he wanted the whole set of the black family but he didn't get Sirius in the half blood prince book.
Sad they didnt make another movie , but they did continue this story in the audio-only- episoides on yt , as well as spotify ,i found the story absolutely brilliant 🔥, they did have a few plot holes ... its worth checking out !
hi i recommed reacting to "sisters of house black"
@Cookie RavenPuff yes me too!
YES.
Ya that one was amazing
Same
Thank you
Just saw the thumbnail 4 this about 5 seconds ago. making this comment before watching it. i never would have thought movie flame would review this!!! i am nerding out here!!!!
Cringe
Man this vid is better than the actual fanfiction. Amazing vid Morgan, keep going!
Voldemort looks really different but I liked it. Peter Petigrew looks really like how Rowling described him as. Please make more videos like this
I love how the FeindFyre took the form of their respective Animagus forms/ Patronuses alongside Lupin's werewolf
I Personally feel the actors give a great Performance. So I give this Short Film 9 of 10.
"He is scarrier here than in the movies"...that s so true XD
Snape is a King and one of my favourite characters along with Neville Longbottom. This made me excited and sad at the same time. I want more!
The big thing that was bugging me was that they had voldemort after his resurrection, he still had a human body but red eyes
By Harry's account, we know he was already starting to look freaky in the late 50s when he was asking Dumbledore for a teaching post.
i ain’t first
i ain’t last
i can’t think of a third rhyme.
thanks for 2 likes.
But I love the Harry Potter cast ???

And now from the past.
Haven’t even watched it yet but I already know it’s gonna be 🔥🔥like every other video !!
4:13
“Are you serious?“
“No, you’re Sirius”
Pettigrews wand-work is very rat like, I like that touch alot. Also that scene with Snape and voldermort had a very sith-like feeling to it. Very palpatine esque by voldermort.
Sirius - I hate you James
James - Are you serius?
Sirius - Yes I am Sirius
😂 James got confused and broke their friendship
Peter: well I guess we know who the big cheese is here. 😂
Honestly, I’m so addicted to your content, you explain everything so well and the videos are always super well done. Love the content
*7:52** He was a seeker in the quidditch team.*
On their channel they have a whole series called “The great wizarding war”. You should watch it!
I agree
Its audio formatted theres no video to it :)
You just gave me so much nostalgia holy lord
Man, Wow.
Going into this I had no idea what to expect, like, maybe I'll get some cool ideas that my imagination can play around with. but, wow!
Looks like I'm going to have to watch these fan films.
I also don't like how James starts it and goes at it
Well keep in mind Snape is the one telling the story so he's probably depicatating James as more of an a$$hole than he actually was.
Not really. James was ALWAYS the one at starting things.
@@sweetcupcake5235 yea that’s true
@@Alt-yg5ng no when he got with lily he matured in his last year and stoped that
@@Connor-ml1zd he matured but he didn't change much towards Snape when lily wasn't around
I think this fan film is amazing the actors and the special effects were incredible especially the magic the people who made the film got all of the characters right and I love how powerful Snape was all and all this was a very good film.🐀🐕🐺🐍
I highly suggest watching Sisters of House Black
Movie Flam: Damn! He going to space! 😂😭😭 I was crying 😂
I don't watch fan films but most of them are pretty good
James: So okay i got a wand in my hand, a object that has extreme power.
*Runs against Snape and gets hit by a spell*
snape disarmed him btw
That's why James runs at Severus, to get his wand back. Plus he's upset Severus just beat him because now he would have to stay away from Lily, if was to keep
his part of the bargain he wanted Severus to agree to.
Wish they would've shown more fight scenes with Snape in the movies especially after seeing him take on three and a half wizards here lol
This fan video has been a favorite of mine for a long time. I really liked your professional review of it. In regards to James' character, I've always thought that he improved from generally pranking and hexing, but still made an exception for Snape. I loved Morgana (Mick) Ignis' performance as Snape.
This fan film was really interesting!! Thanks Morgan for starting this new set of videos!
I still am not happy with James's appearence because in canon, he has BLACK and MESSY hair while here, he is perfectly groomed and has brown (?) hair
Ikr
Here’s a list of some other good HP fan films:
The Greater Good
Mischief Managed
Le Maitre de la Mort (The Master of Death)
Sisters of House Black
Neville Longbottom and the Black Witch
Son of the Moon
Voldemort: Origins of the Heir
Also kind of interesting, the Lily Evans Fan Film Series
I think James saw Severus as a competition for Lily
I have seen snape and the marauders like 9-10 months ago and it was amazing to see it again thanks for uploading it
Let us see your reaction to Voldemort: Origins of the Heir.
He’s already done that one before, he should try le maitre de le Morte
I really liked ur reaction to the fam film! there is another fam film, which is actually one of my personal favs " Neville Longbottom and the Black Witch" by Muggle Flix.
I bloody loved this short film, absolutely insane for an amateur film
To think James wasn't a bully is wrong. This portrait of James is really spot on. "You're just like your father. Arrogant. Weak." None of the marauders could beat Snape one on one. James ran his mouth and couldn't back it up without his friends. Hence the arrogant and weak statement. Loved this fan film. I would love to see this era covered in a movie.
Except this is fanmade, in canon Snape couldn't beat Wormtail 😂
'Are you serious?'
**'No you're Sirius'**
😂😂😂
Do a video on the history of the sacred 28: explain the intermarriages and where the families are today
You need to watch Voldemort: Origins of the Heir!
he has in 2018
this is my favourite fan film and i love how you gave your opinion on it and i loved the video! there is a follow up podcast to this film and it is just as incredible as the film if not better. just thought i’d let you know. happy pottering!!💖
Yeah, I totally loved it. We want more of reviews on fan films...Please continue this series.
When snape was yelling and then exploded it reminded me so much of something that would be in Percy Jackson
eiiii another fellow Ravenclaw
I reminded me of a fanfic with the idea of a curse called Blood rage.
i like it it's sooo close to the story n the detail to the overall story was a nice touch. voldemortes appearance was better here i think it was closer to the snakelike appearance he ended up with
Really fun fanmade movie. Snape winning that 1v4 seems kinda farfetched though.
True, especially when James, Lupin and Sirius were the best in the school

Ok this is really cool. I honestly think it would be fun to see a Marauders movie. I know they have touched base of it at times in the books. Seeing this makes me think of a movie about this would help expand the HP franchise. It would be fun to even see Sirius, James, and Peter becoming animagus do be with Lupin and all that would be fun to see. Make a sequel to it following them through the first war and all. What do you think Morgan? Would you like something like that to add on to the HP franchise?!
11:53 Not great continuity between the cuts. No fake blood on James' face in the wide shot, 11:54, fake blood on his face in the close up.
Another thing I saw was 12:17 Snape mocking James saying, "Severus, please," Reminds me of what Dumbledoor said to him in The Half Blood Prince.
Well spotted.
As someone who thinks snapes the best this film is epic
7:17 - 7:24 EXACTLY!!!
This is probably one of the funniest videos you've ever made, I just wish you didn't have to censor your cursing but there's probably kids who watch you stuff. This is an awesome idea and I'm looking forward to more. Thank you Morgan! 💜
Oh my goodness this fan film I kind of like it
You must react to Grindelwald vs Dumbledore.
It's my favorite
Love this series I think IDEA: Maybe you should watch the whole fan film and make one with the entire one and then make another on but just cut out some parts for people who don’t want to watch the entire thing (if thay makes sense) again love this series!
You really deserve more subscribers because you take so much effort for each video
Snape was so bad ass! After Dumbledore & Lord Voldemort he is defo the 3rd most powerful in my opinion & his occumlency is 2nd to none 👍 great fan film & review.
