The Draco scene was not an official deleted scene. As I said in the video, this is only official scenes. That scene was just b roll that fans found
It’s okay also great video!
Movie flame please I've been wanted to ask you. Can you write when you can your own Harry potter sequel. I know you will make it better than the curse child one. Please if you can

MovieFlame: Hogwarts legacy review!
Make gameplays, I'll watch!
did you notice that some cuts of the movie have the deleted scenes? considering my view they should have been left in anyway, its a nice touch. consider all the improv crap that gets in and you can understand why these deleted scenes wouldnt have been hard to keep.
They honestly should've kept the scene in the book where Dudley said "I don't think you're a waste of space." was just a nice subtle nod to the fact that Dudley had changed his POV towards Harry. Not everyone needs to be redeemed, sure, that's what Draco's character is for (I HATE the deleted scene of him like THROWING the wand at...at who exactly? ugh) but this was a nice way to show people that bullies are people too. And sometimes they can come around. You don't HAVE to forgive them, but sometimes just acknowledging that change is enough. And sometimes showing sympathy, as Harry did towards Snape in his dying moments, is also enough.
I thought they should’ve kept it as well
Draco throwing his Wand to Harry was actually a good scene. I don't know why they deleted it.
@@ruturajshiralkar5566 Draco Sadboy throwing his wand to Harry.
The wand that Harry already yanked out of his hands weeks earlier.
I wonder why the scene was cut.
Edit: I know it's Narcisa's wand. And I don't care. Harry is already using Draco's real wand, that already accepted him as his master.
This shows that Draco was supporting Harry without outright saying it outloud, because Malfoys always keep their ass safe first.
It's consistent with his character.
My guess the reason why they didn't keep it was they didn't really show much of the dirty sleeves and the 1st 3 movies yeah but the last ones not so much
@@MidoriNatsume i think it makes sense that Harry would’ve lost the wand he was using (Draco’s i think) when Voldemort “killed” him in the woods, so then Draco tossed him the one he was using.
They should definitely make a official Harry Potter extended edition with every released deleted scene included with higher picture quality i mean i would buy it.
Me too!!
I guess they did that with the first film right ? because i've seen the deleted scene in the movie.
If you watch them on cable TV they do add some of the deleted scenes back into the movies. You can actually find the first 2 movie's extended cuts on a torrent site, not that I would do such a thing.
@@yahyakanouni yeah the first two movies have got official extended editions but it would be cool the same with the rest of the series
I mean what can't you milk out of Harry Potter fans... 😀
I don't think making Goblet of Fire over 3 hours would have been bad. Making 2 movies out of it would have been hard with finding a good stopping point but 3 hours would have helped pace the film better in places like the Quidditch World Cup, the time between the second and third task, the third task itself, and the aftermath of Harry returning from the graveyard (Parting of Ways chapter).
I definately agree that GoF would have benefitted from including the Quidditch World Cup and the Parting of Ways scene. But you don't have to make it three hours to do that. You could have just cut some of the unnecessary and stupid additions, most of all the looong scene with the dragon chasing Harry all over Hogwarts, destroying the school, nearly killing Harry and finally crashing and dying herself, but also minor ones like that pointless biting candy scene and the recurring nightmare (if the dream was real, looking into Voldemort's mind, the same scene wouldn't be recurring)
I think the stopping point would have to be some time between the Yule Ball and the second task. Maybe just after the Yule Ball, with the scene between Karkaroff and Snape outside, where Karkaroff reaches for Snape's arm only for Snape to pull it back, foreshadowing that Snape might have a dark mark which would label him as a Death Eater. And since there was another scene later with the two of them outside Snape's classroom with Karkaroff showing his dark mark to Snape, I think It would be appropriate to have the first half end with the scene outdoors and the second half begin with the scene outside the Potions classroom, showing the transition from Karkaroff wanting to see Snape's dark mark to him showing Snape his own dark mark. There would be some issues with continuity, however, so I don't think it would be able to work that way.
I agree. Then, we could have gotten something closer to the complex plot fo the book. We also really needed that amazing scene with Barty Crouch Sr. where he is talking to a tree and then on his knees, horrified and saying he needs to see Dumbledore and Voldemort is stronger
@@ceciliacarlid6113 Or remove the Yule Ball and focus more on the Barty Crouch family storyline.
@@connorwiederich I agree that there is much that could have been improved with the Crouch mystery. I don't think skipping the yule ball would be the answer, though. It is a key moment in the Romione story ark, where Ron starts to see Hermione in a different light
To add to the bird bothering Hagrid scene. Hagrid being the gentle giant he is, i have a hard time believing he would try to smack and or smash a tiny bird. Dude rescues dragons, hippogriffs and 3 headed dogs ....
Giant Spiders
Well, mosquitos exist, and I'm sure Hagrid is smashing those on impact.
Definitely this! He'd just be like
ello little fella
and smile
@@TheHomerowKeys a bird and a mosquito (a pest/insect ) are two entirely different things lol
yeah, book Hagrid would smile and let it perch on his finger
That scene where Lucius hits Draco's hand actually made tom cry. But he said it was ok because it made the scene good. And then it got cut 🤣
The only thing missing at 33:24 is a fire for Harry to be looking into
Naw Harry’s British accent 5:45 😭😭
I guess Harry-looking-into-the-fire motif - other than its poetic value of looking into fire - could be Harry thinking about Sirius when he conversed with him through the fire. A source of comfort or solace to him.
True but some of these were before the conversations with Sirius. I think it just makes sense. The element of Gryffindor is fire, their common room has many fires. When you see a fire and you are in a thinking mood, you naturally gravitate towards it. It seems repetitive but I think it's realistic.
In the deleted scene in the first movie where Snape and Harry are talking about different things about potion making, it is there that Snape tells Harry about Bezoar, or the stone from a goats stomach. This stone is also used in the 6th movie Half Blood Prince to save Ron from the poison in the brandy Professor Slughorn gives to "ease the nerves". Now Harry possibly read about it in Snape's potions book, but this scene gives us a small detail that Harry was listening to Snape even when he was putting him down. Just a small little thing to pick up on.
i like how a a school teacher gives a under age student some brandy. would be considered grooming in the muggle world. lol
Actually in the books there’s a conversation between Harry and Hermione right after Ron’s accident. She is trying to convince Harry to sip the princes book and he says without it Ron would be dead - referring to having read about the bezoar there. And hermione replies or you could have just listened to Snape on first year.
also the context is funny - snce the HBP only scribbled in "just shove a bezoar down ther throat" instead of helping with a real antidote - which earns Harry even more praise from Slugorn XD Ironic, really...@@belensoria1664
The letters in the eggs weren’t cut, when I watched it, they were in there 4:41
Yea me to
It's not....
The snape Yule ball became my favorite. It’s really hilarious due to Alan’s mannerisms when he takes points away from hufflepuff and ravenclaw 😂
Looks like you may have gotten your wish, all of our wishes actually - Peacock is now streaming extended versions of all eight Harry Potter films with most of the requested deleted scenes intact. Definitely worth a look at how they add to the quality of all these wonderful films. Not all are present but many of the ones mentioned in this video are, including your number one choice with the exchange between Harry and Aunt Petunia in Deathly Hallows - Part One. It’s a delight to watch…finally. Now if WB can make these available intact for purchase 🤞🏼
I don’t think they are anymore
17:44
I do miss Rupert making that little half smirk
18:04 Neville always was one of my fav characters in the books & wanted more of him on screen (he plays a bigger part in the books obviously). I wish he played the role he had in the books. Neville is such a beloved character 💜🤍. They made him into a badass over night in the movies but he gradually built up to that in the books. Besides standing up to his friends in the first book, his gran & him were big supporters of Harry & Dumbledore (just as big as the Weasley’s). I just wished they were able to show more of that.
Those two Harry and Dumbledore lines should have been kept for sure. Big respect between them in the end.
Seeing Daniel Radcliffe roast the "Hogwarts Song" at 5:27 is just next level comedic gold.
I think a cool idea for a series is to go through each harry potter movie amd cut/remove scenes you think weren't important, and add important scenes from the books that were missing, keeping the overall duration of the movie the same. Essentially making a "perfect" adaptation with no missing info, but still limited by the constraints that the directors had in terms of screen time
Yes! Do it movie flame!
Fantastic idea! Often fans are naive about time constraints and other cinematic considerations and just want the movies to include most details from the books. However making a video essay within this framework you have to be really creative about what scenes to cut and include and how everything connects. Putting yourself into the role as a screenwriter, director and editor rather than as a book fan sounds like a fun video essay to watch, which surely will lead to an interesting discussion from a more cinematic point of view.
Me and my daughter watch these movies at my dad's house every weekend and it's funny cause the versions that he has are the directors cut with a lot of these scenes left in. A lot of the ones in your top 20 were so good that I can't believe they weren't in the original
As someone who’s only seen the movies (though I will soon read the books), I can see why they cut the Petunia scene.
I understand what they were going for with this moment of redemption, and showing how Voldemort has deeply affected the lives of all of these people and it gives Petunia some humanity.
However, all we get in the films are negative ties between Petunia and Lily. Petunia calls Lily a freak, and was obviously jealous, on top of which she abuses and neglects her sister’s son, and while I haven’t analyzed the films to a fault, they show no pictures of Lily in Petunia’s home, nor do they give even the smallest hint that Petunia cared one iota about Lily’s existence. Then all of a sudden we have Petunia saying “I lost a sister” with zero backstory or evidence why she should care, so it feels out of place with the knowledge the movies have given us about Petunia and Lily’s relationship.
In my opinion it was a crucial scene, because she cared for Harry for 17 years, although Vernon wanted to give Harry away to an orphanage right away. She still was a terrible person, but she loved her sister enough to take Harry. Also, since you don't know, in the books she actually cared a lot about Lily. Her character arch is very exciting and has the most similarities with Snape's. You'll find out what I mean exactly in the 7th book. I hope you'll read them. I love all of the books.
@@anna-5104 She and her husband abused Harry since he was a baby. Harry could had a better childhood even in an orphanage. I do think deep down there is part of her that still loves Lily, but she buried it too deep and just could not face it because of her jealousy. To me the scene is touching at the first glance, but when I think deeper, I don't think a woman who mistreated her sister's child for 17 years would admit her love to her sister at the end. It just feels meaningless. It's just too late. She and Snape are quite different to me. Harry looks a lot more like his father than his mother, which can explain why Snape did not like Harry. Snape knew how much he hates James and how much he loves Lily very clearly the whole time.
@@joez833 this
@@anna-5104 "cared for harry" LMFAOOOOOOOOOOO
@@wholethedogsout880 "cared for" meaning giving him a place to stay, giving him food and stuff, not actually caring deeply lol. She was still horrible.
The scene where Harry explains the family history with the horcruxes should be way higher because in that scene Ron informs Harry & Hermione that the name "Voldemort" was cursed which explains why the gang suddenly stopped using it and why it was such a big deal when Luna's father said it.
It's crucial information that fills in an unintentional plot hole & inconsistency as most movie fans remember how big of a deal it was for Ron and Hermione to start saying the name, why would they along with Harry suddenly stop saying it?
Other than that though, I agree with pretty much everything else. Especially the last few scenes, I remember those being cut for pacing reasons however they were still important scenes. At least there are extended versions of these movies which were shown on TV and apparently some of the streaming services. Not sure if any home releases like the 4K versions include them, if not then hopefully some day they're included as an option.
Filtch is actually kinda like a tragic character. Driven by jealousy to the point where he hated everyone.
11:29 Harry’s “nice” killed me 😂 should have kept that in
21:37
Honestly, I despise this deleted scene. First of all, the acting isn't very good. But worse, in the books this was a beautiful moment with Neville, when he arrives with his legs jinxed and Hermione helps him, they try to cheer him up, Harry says he's worth 12 Malfoys and he gives him a Chocolate Frog... In the movie, they just ignore Neville and they leave him there with everyone laughing at him. I don't know why so many people like it.
I have not read the books, so maybe I'm bias here (I'd like to sit down and read them one day). But I don't like the scene either. I recall there being tension between Ron and Hermione from the first film, but that tension feels weirdly entangled with this exchange between Neville and Seamus. Is there any context/backstory behind their exchange in the books? Maybe it's the acting, or his age and voice being different but Seamus expressing annoyance gives me "child temper tantrum" vibes and it feels out of place in a Harry Potter movie.
Having seen these movies a lot on abc where they added a good chunk of these scenes every holiday, it was interesting to be reminded which scenes were actually not in the og cuts
"Harry hold on for dear life was great fun"
Never heard that sentence before, but i love it♡
So growing up, instead of having a videotape/DVD of CoS bought from a store, my parents actually recorded a showing of the movie on cable, which is what I grew up with and the only way I watched CoS. Thing is, that showing actually included all the deleted scenes so I never even knew certain scenes were deleted scenes for the longest time (and a good number of them I didn’t know until watching this video 😅).
2023 update: Movieflame is still my favorite channel on RUclips ⚡️
My top three favourite deleted scenes are definitely the Snape and Karkaroff convo and how Snape catches those kids making out, Petunia’s redemption, and Dudley’s redemption.
I swear some of these were in the movies, like ron saying "whatre friends for" I just rewatched them and that was definitely in there
Remus and Tonks child is referenced in the scene before the battle of the 7 Potters, where Tonks says "Remus and I have news" something along those lines as Moody interrupts getting everybody on track for why they are all there.
I've been rewatching the Harry Potter movies on Peacock and there have been so many scenes where I'm like "I do not remember this" like the scene in GOF at 26:13 but I guess Peacock has the deleted scenes included
I keep watching this an going thats in the movie and currently I can only watch the Harry Potter movies on Netflix so I don’t know if some deleted scenes are on the Harry Potter Netflix versions as well
its so interesting to me how when i watch these on tv (freeform, scifi) how many of these were added. sometimes i feel crazy like “wait i dont remember this!” depends on which channel you watch sometimes which cuts you get.
I honestly reaaaaally don't mind 3 hour long movies. There's a story to be told. Keep me entertained/interested and you can make the movie 5 hours long for all I care.
It kills me that so many people speak of 'binging' on episodes of TV series, but others talk like sitting in front of an entertainment for 4 or 5 hours would be such a chore!
3:37 the rooster scene is unfair. you can clearly see on the page harry pulled from harmonies hand “Basilisk flees only from the crowing of the rooster, which is fatal to it.”
Wait. I swear I remember watching many of these scenes in the movies
Half Blood Prince is also my favorite book. It was just so well written. I never get tired or reading it and listening to it.
And those scenes were criminally deleted. That scene of Harry taking a last look to his dormitory and then that last look at Ginny. Ugh!!!! It would have added so much depth to their love story.
Also the scene where Harry says "I'll be with Dumbledore" gosh! The determination with which Harry uttered that phrase is so impactful and then the full circle when Dumbledore says to Harry "I'm with you" ugh. That movie would had been so much better. And what to say about what could have been one of the best scenes in HP, the scene featuring Snape, Draco, Flitwick and Minerva. That scene is perfect.
Instead of the scene with the birds that Hermione threw at Ron, they should have added this one. I wonder why would they cut all these scenes and decided to make the movie focuse mostly in the teen love. The books focused on their love lives but that wasn't all there was.
I wish they'll release a Half Blood Prince movie with these scenes uncut. It'll be the best movie for me and I'll watch it even more times than I already have. Haha.
I happen to have several fan edits with those scenes added back in that I could send to you if you want :-)
@@SuperMoviemaster21 oh my! That'll be great!?
@@grec. Are you on Reddit? If you can find a way to send me your contact email then I can send them to you
I don't mind the bird scene because it's in the book but what they really shouldn't have included was the Burrow being set on fire
@@mary-catherinecroshaw6369 Yeah, you're also right. I thought that scene was absolutely unnecessary.
I almost always skip it when I want to get to the other scenes. Lol. No hate.
15:03 is a brilliant line, and Barty SR.'s acting is great
They need to come up with a box set of these movies that include all the deleted scenes for a anniversary of the movies. I bet it will sell out.
i didn’t realize a lot of these were deleted scenes because i guess i’ve been watching the extended versions lately, really odd that some of these are gone, especially in 5-8
"... Famous for his defeat of the dark wizard Grindelwald in 1945"
Grindelwald really sounds like someone doesn't he?
I think that having Petunia’s redemption, and Lupin, and Tonks talking about Teddy is perfectly placed
I always enjoy your videos on Harry Potter. How you even able to come up with this content is remarkable and refreshing! I'm happy to feel that nostalgic feeling again. Keep it up 😄
Is that Nagini going after Ron and Hermione down the stairs? Snakes bigger than I remember, almost thought it was the basilisk at first.
Personally for a person who saw the movies before reading the books ( which I still didn’t complete btw) it’s like it changes perspective on every minute character development or character highlighting the author has done the low amount of screen time does play a crucial role
Ernie MacMillan's gossip about Harry is an example of a thread from the books being almost completely omitted from the films. In the books people suspecting Harry of being the Heir of Slytherin is a much bigger deal than in the film.
1:30 Daniel raging is one of the funniest things I've ever seen, it is truly a relic that should be remembered for all the ages to come.
Maybe its just me, but i could swear some of those scenes were in the theatrical release. I remember especially scenes from the earlier movies.
No, it's not just you. Quite a few of these so called deleted scenes, I've seen too.
4:43, 9:08, 17:35 22:00 24:26 30:10 I watched the movie online and these scenes were all in there!!
also, i noticed that in the tom riddle memory at the orphanage, there are 7 rocks on the windowsill, which is coming throughout the series
That was a brilliant list. Thank you for your hard work.
Without watching this number 1: should be Aunt Petunia and Harry in the living room, when she mentions her sister. This made me cry the first time I saw it.
Imagine how much more content it would have if they had made Peeves and most of the twin's pranks into scenes 😂 I crack up with their moments in the books every time, their banter with their mother mistaking them happens a few times, or the holidays and their adventures of de-gnowming the garden or using their crazy inventions to spy on conversations, among many others, ahh now am missing the books I guess it's a sign to re-read them 😂Years later and the denial of what happened to Fred is still 😫 This is a great list, I totally agree with the insight of the important and relevant scenes such as Duddley and Petunia's final scenes, and of course those silent shots with excellent cinematography. Some should've made it to the final cut and not be eliminated.
Good Video 👌🏻👍🏻
I actually have the movies with the “deleted scenes”. I was like why do these look so familiar 😭
I'd vote for the Dudley redemption and the Snape/Karkaroff confrontation for sure, and that scene where the light is changing on Snape's face and Malfoy is getting out of bed cranks up the suspense. In general where they cut things that explain something that otherwise doesn't get explained ticks me off a bit, because usually it doesn't take much and sometimes a movie can be cut until it turns into nonsense that only appeals to people who know what's going on from somewhere else. See: World of Warcraft movie, sinking under the weight of trying to include everything and explaining nothing.
All of these came on the old dvds, thanks for the nostalgia trip!
You are fantastic!!! Don’t quit. We’re both gryffindor

5. DH you’re being watched
6. DH Dudley and Petunia redemption
I swear I’ve seen some of these “deleted scenes” while watching the movie
The fire scenes would maybe be referring to travelling by flue powder!
I think it's pointless to have the deleted scene included on the DVD and Blu-Ray but not have Extended Versions on the Disc.
what about the canceled scene when draco gives harry a wand in hp and the deathly hallows 2?
IKR I WAS WAITING
its not official also he already had a wand so it was useless
the thing that will forever haunt me is that the snape scenes werent included at all, making it seem like harry didnt talk back at him and snape simply took points away for harry... not knowing the answer? When this scene showed that it wasnt the case.
And then ethe scene with the shadows on snapes face. What a great and intimate moment this would have been.
harry and ginny holding hands ruins the surprise of harry confronting snape
(5:13 ) every other schools: a cool and unique entrance into the great Hall showing their determination
Hogwarts: here's a silly little song we wrote 🤪
I think Dudley saying “I don’t think your a waste of space.” Shows character development
That duel that you showed from Fantastic Beasts three isn't the right one, cuz the duel that was on the card was when Dumbledore took the wand from him. That duel takes place a few years after Secrets of Dumbledore.
Those 2 scenes they cut from half blood prince are some of the best where array says i don't need luck I'll be with Dumbledore then when they exit Dumbledore says I'm ok because I'm with you Harry.
I love all these not a stinker among them now we need a 6 hour cut of all the movies
I pretty sure that some of these are in the films.
Peacock streaming does have quote a few of these deleted scenes
Extended scenes and the original all together like the extended version of LOTR.
U forgot the one where Draco passes Harry his wand!THAT IS THE BEST!!!
1. Read the pinned comment. Its not an official scene
2. That scene would be in last if it was because it goes against everything the books told us about Draco. It’s a crime they even filmed it tbh
“You didn’t just lose a mother that night, in Godric’s Hollow; I lost a sister.”
… and her coping mechanism is to neglect, enslave, emotionally abuse and (probably) physically abuse that sister’s son? I’m glad they took that clip out, because it just feels like they were trying to redeem her at least somewhat and it just did not work.
#72 seems very underrated.
It shows that Hermione's actions were important.
Although I don't remember that from the book.
I'm only 5 minute in so far, but the letter in the eggs are the most memorable and funny deleted scene that I remember from my childhood. I watched on TV just to see that scene because I thought her reaction was so funny
Couldn't agree more with the scene ranked #1, definitely should've been in the movie
i watched the movies w/ a few deleted scenes so most of these i didn't realize were even deleted
On peacock they added a lot of these scenes in the movies. Yet they don’t say they are extended versions
Yeah I know😭 I think it’s because they don’t add all deleted scenes and just small ones
is it weird that ive seen most of these scenes from the way they're formatted and released on peacock 🤨
Some of the deleted scenes in the movies when I watched them on ABC Family
I feel so bad for rich cause he could not learn real spells and had to learn quick ones it defiantly changed the way I looked at filch😥
Some of these deleted scenes were in the movies that I watched. I think they added some of them later on.
Wait I do remember umbridge's breakdown being in the films it's the one thing that made me hate her the most
Funny enough, recently I watched Chamber of Secrets and it included all the deleted scenes, so I was shocked hearing all of these as deleted scenes
Even though this is a summary from the films, as a book series fan first, if the films included these scenes I would have enjoyed them more as I think the level of enrichment on screen to date does not do justice 🤍
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how BADASS Neville’s Nan is. Raised her grandson on her own, single handily took on a load of death eaters when they tried to kidnap her and then runs to go help Neville fight in the final battle after being on the run for a year from some of the darkest wizards of all time.
I love how proud she is about Neville. At first she thought him weak, because the two strongest and closest people to her were punished in a much worse way than death, and Neville was being nothing but a pushover in her eyes. Then, he stands up for himself at the end of the OOTP and you can see the immediate 180 she does.
'Have you seen my grandson?’
‘He’s fighting,’ said Harry.
‘Naturally,’ said the old lady proudly. ‘Excuse me, I must go and assist him.’
The sad thing is, Neville was always this strong, he just wasn't given the chance to be himself. It's ironic, that when he is himself, he is the best of his mother and father. He is what she wanted all along.
In my eyes, Neville is the master-class of character writing.
@@TheIrisCZ And it's the coming-into-his-own in this way that makes him a Gryffindor. Very few of us are straight-up "bold" and "brave" or "arrogant" to begin with - bravery is a learned skill, and a skill you don't learn unless you really value whatever you're pursuing. You're willing to ignore every sign screaming at you not to do something, in order to do it because it's what's right. "Arrogance" only comes into it because we prioritise our morals over our fears, which some folks don't understand - they'd rather play it safe than stand out for going against the grain. Idk. Yaxley finding her parents house gave me shivers. Because I thought she was paranoid and extreme for wiping her parents memory- but per usual she was thinking ahead
I agree. I feel like it adds weight to her decision when you see it was necessary to do.
A lot of movie only people don't get that scene at all. What may have helped is a sort of memory or reference back to the memory erasing and fading into Yaxley standing in the empty house.
I agree. The Yaxley scene shiws how necessary Hermione’s actions were. We know her parents would have died. It was needed.
Pretty sure he was a boy
Absolutely agree!!!!! And also agree to the shivers part. For sure!
hermione and ron skipping stones would've also shown more of hermione and ron's relationship. It even sort of parallels the scene where hermione is teaching ron how to play piano showing there different skills, and how they can learn from each other, which was sort of what there relation was like in the books.
Yes!
I hated the fact that the relationships weren't focused on a little bit more. Breaks my heart!
Ive seen that part before while watching the movies on Freeform
Hagrid was skipping stones too when they tried to comfort him in POA, also a nice link.
Personally that was always a cringe scene for me and really hard to watch. There’s no romantic chemistry between Rupert and Emma and it was really obvious in that scene. I think they were just too good at being friends with each other that far into the series. I’m glad they cut it. They both seem uncomfortable as lovers.
I have to laugh, because since the only versions of the movies I've watched are the extended versions, I didn't even realize many of these were deleted scenes!
Same!! I was just wondering this. I remember the egg scene and the "bits of elephant skin" part so clearly, but when I paid for the movies through a streaming service it never came! I was beginning to think I had dreamt those scenes😂
Oh wow, there are extended versions of the movies?! Never knew that, I only ever knew about the Lord of the Rings Extended versions. Cool.
I was just thinking this! I grew up watching the movies and half scenes that I remember so vividly are in this compilation and I was like what they’re not actually in the movies?

Ye I think I have to
I really liked the deleted scene between Snape and Harry from the first movie, as he sounds exactly the way James did when he went to school together with Snape. It just immediately gives Snape the impression that Harry is, and will act exactly as his father, giving him another reason to why he hates him so much.
I always felt like a huge miss throughout the series was to leave out the « everyday » interactions in the common rooms. The production may have felt like it was unnecessary and should be replaced by more meaningful scenes but to me, the scenes where students are playing game, having group conversations, snogging in the corners are what makes this whole thing even more relatable. It really highlight the fact that they’re still teenagers, doing teenagers things. And not just for Gryffindor it would have been nice to have some insight into other common rooms too.
More wholesome too
yes!!! those were always my favorite moments of the books because it showed everyday life in the magical world!
and thats what im hoping we will get in the series
The lines "I don't need luck, I'll be with Dumbledore" and "I am not worried, Harry. I am with you" are easily my favourites in the series. I'm extremely far from being emotional but those always hit me hard
Every single time I re-read HBP these lines always give me chills and make me smile. Truly some great words
I hate that they took those out of the movie for this reason!!! Imagine sacrificing that and In Noctem for setting the Burrow on fire...
Wasn’t that in the movie though?
Chills every time
Same
I think they should’ve added more memory scenes with young Petunia and Lily nearing the end of the movies, like how Petunia wrote letters to Dumbledore asking if she could go to Hogwarts with Lily, and how she called Lily a freak at Kings Cross right before Lily left for her first year. It would’ve shown that Petunia never really hated her sister, she was just overcome with envy. The deleted scene where Petunia redeems herself is one of the most heart-warming scenes to me even though it was deleted, because it showed that as much as she resented Harry because of both his and Lilys gifts, she still has something to empathise with Harry, due to the loss of Lily
The problems is that that didnt happened, in the book the only one that show a little remorse is Dudley, I dont think you are a wasted of space, that is the delate scene that should have in the movie, in the book, he watched Harry was a about to said something and in the end, she couldnt, the same a Drako, he didnt help Harry, he wasnt a death eater but that dosent mean he was good
One of those is literally in the movie
@@UhmHi-tw2lh keyword "MORE" not "I wish they would've added A memory scene"
And also adding Snape calling Lily a mudblood and making the end of their friendship
A little late to respond to this, but I have two scenes in mind for Petunia’s character in order to dive into what kind of person she is.
The 1st one can happen during either Harry’s 2nd - 5th year of Hogwarts during the summer. Vernon and Petunia is either making a mockery of Harry and his wizard life trying to get him to try and wake up in how the real world works, as a way to lower his optimistic view of life, or probably making more insults about his parents and still calling Harry’s mother “a freak”. Harry tries to talk back towards Petunia and this dialogue happens -
Harry: You know, I think you’re jealous.
Petunia: Sure, I'm jealous of a bunch of dimwit folks like you.
Harry: Yeah. Because they never accepted you into my school. Because you're a Muggle! You’re ordinary and stock…
Petunia: [makes something break in the kitchen] SO…. it's back to that stupid subject again. You think I don't know what's goin' on where you're from!? I know what goes on in that freak-show world. It's a big conspiracy, and every one of you is in on it! Just 'cause you can wave a stupid stick around, you think you're better than I am?! I'M NOT AN INVALID; I KNOW I’M JUST ORDINARY!! I LIKE BEING ORDINARY!! I CAN’T HELP IT IF THEY SAID YOUR MOTHER WASN’T!! THAT'S WHAT THEY TOLD ME!!!
Harry: (realizing he messed) I… I… I didn’t mean….
Petunia: [roaring] GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!!!
The 2nd one can happen during the sixth year of summer for Harry, where Petunia is alone in her room checking herself out in the mirror, only to be greeted by a figment of Lily’s reflection -
Lily: You always looked better with your hair tied.
Petunia: What are you doing here, freak?!
Lily: I didn't want to miss whatever event my sister goes to.
Petunia: Don't pretend to play all sweet. I know what you are and you already made your point with me when you left our family.
Lily: I think you're confused. I tried Petunia, I wanted them to let you join me t school. Despite what they said, I would’ve vouched for you my whole life.
Petunia: [spins around] Well, you were wrong! Why would you?! I know this is where I belong! Not in a place for people like you would make me fear you.
Lily: No. I loved you, Petunia. I do.
[Petunia’s back is to the mirror, but her body is shown trembling. After a pause, she spins around and slams the mirror/throws something at it with a scream of rage, shattering it. Alone, she falls on the countertop and sobs.]
Kinda surprised there was not a single deleted scene involving Voldemort himself. I'm gonna take that as a sign Ralph Fiennes's performance was just THAT good.
No there is one. He is skipping stones waiting for harry in hp7.2. But that scene is nowhere to be found!! If someone finds it pls let me know
@@pfaloa probably on the blooper reel
I think there is one where Voldemort goes to a Muggle arcade and plays Space Invaders. Truly a wonderful deleted scene. Shame they cut it 😉
I wish they kept Petunia's redemption, and your right that scene changes how you look at Petunia, it's like she truly starts to regret some of the ways she treated Harry
I actually really like the scene from half blood prince in the common room when they talk about Draco, I think it adds some complexity to the dynamic between Malfoy and Harry
