Born 94 but think best music decades 70’s 🪩80’s👾I lov it 👍🏻
Ah yes when an INSTRUMENTAL could be a #1 single... now THAT is something you don't see anymore in the era of "vocals and a beat"
Great stuff. I love how much variety the charts had back then: Pop, Rock, Yacht Rock, Soul, Country, Disco,… even some new wave sounding stuff beginning to pop up! And just two months away from ushering in the 80s.
Wow! The Top 40 part has so many beautiful ballads that week! Love 'em all! ❤
Love this, so many memories
Great video with great music. So many classics songs of all time. Rise is fantastic ....
*insert Smashing Pumpkins, jokes asides it's nice to see again more Billboard throwbacks, I really do love looking back at thr older hits.
I did not know Ac/dc had singles hits before Back in Black!
Sadly, it was the only song that charted in the US with the lead being Bon Scott. Brian Johnson took over the lead with the album Back in Black.
Rise by Herb Alpert did spent 3 weeks at the number 1 spot, but next week, he was bumped out by Robert John with his tune, Sad Eyes which is the week ending of November 3, 1979.
