No cap bro. I get asked as a cashier by mostly black customers for discounted cigarettes or free food. Like cmon, you just put 100$ in your car. This isnt a charity business.
@@OCHOCINCO98 like 7-10yrs ago. But if you tip 15% then fine. At least you’re showing some etiquette and consideration. 15% is okay it’s not like it’s an insulting tip, so if you want to tip 15% no problem. But standard at most dine in places is 18%. It will usually start at that amount on the recommended tip% when you get your bill.
honestly seeing the tipping industry the way its set up as a cheap guy makes me glad i eat mostly at home and cut my own hair and can have fun without the nightlife for free joining a cookout that comes with free food 😂
@@YoItsTonnyyyif service is ass I’ll leave them 1 dollar if service is good I’ll leave 4 dollars if service is great I’ll leave like 8 dollars that’s due to my budget
used to door dash and hated when they sent me to East Cleveland .majority black customer base. calling me during the pick up asking me bunch things to make sure I get a straw make sure they put 5 bbq sauces in the bag etc ... slowing me down but im still upbeat polite helpful. get the the customer deliver food to them never a tip EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR .... and complaining on my ratings about lateness when its not my fault the drive thru is slow.. had quit door dash wasn't worth it them sending me to east side every night . smh
let me add, some also like to power trip, they like the idea of being waited on and not have an obligation to tip, then they've stolen time from someone who could have made money woth another customer
I tip out of respect, but it also depends on my financial situation. If I'm tight on cash, I'm not going to tip 20%. Also most other developed countries have no tipping at all, yet our tipping rates are expected to increase, so the idea of being a 'proud tipper' (which people have said to me btw) is very 'ass-kissey' to me.
The argument is that the employer is supposed to pay you. That’s what I’ve heard from other people online, and that it’s not the customer’s responsibility to compensate the employee, regardless of race.
They also like to scam on doordash and instacart saying they never got their food so they can get a freebie, that's why I send them a picture when its at the door so they can't pull that shit.
That’s sad. I as a black person in the service industry hate serving black people, most specifically really young ones or really old ones. I’m black but I was raised to tip. Throw your barber a $10 he could’ve fucked you up for at least 2 weeks. And if you have long hair, he could’ve fucked you up so bad you had to start over and cut off your hair. Instead he takes the time to make sure you look like a superstar and come back to him. You sit down and eat? 18% of the bill. If you can’t afford the tip, you can’t afford the service period. People who burned me in the past with tips get NO attention from me if I recognize them ever again in my section. That’s a waste of my great customer service. People who don’t tip only see me twice, to take their order and drop the bill. Do better and stop falling into negative stereotypes.
@@sandwichsquad74 Tips are optional simple as that, people who take jobs solely for tips are just greedy and never cared about the customer in the first place, we need more workers who actually care about the service they provide, which tip workers clearly don’t because the second you don’t tip they act like you, cold shoulder, so I’d rather not tip, fake relationships with services based on transactions, I don’t tip my barber and our relationship stays real 🤷🏾♂️
many people feel entitled, they want the experience/service, but don't want to pay for it.
Or we want the service without the attitude (like most black servers have)

Because a lot of us are cheap. Its that simple to be honest.
Then stay home. Don’t come outside if you can’t afford to dine with proper etiquette. 18% of your bill my guy.
@sandwichsquad74 exactly what this guy said
@@sandwichsquad74 i thought it was 15% standard

Saves money
It’s the employer’s responsibility to ensure you’re fairly compensated.
Yelp, it's unfortunate, in our community. Half can't Tip for shit and there's the other half (like me), will Tip above and beyond (for our peoples)
I ain’t tipping shit if the service is ass

Make your own food or go and pick it up from the store yourself then
@@nikes4444 yeah I’m just relaying what they say. I tip all the time. lol
Because most of them r wicked beyond belief
As a black man I tip all the time and sometimes me and my wife over tip. If you’re a bad waitress then why should I give you a freaking tip.
Hey man how’ve you been?
i have always tipped 25-30% since i was around 16 and had my first hispanic girlfriend. If I spend $100 out eating I’ll always tip at least 30

I always tip 15% at least however if the service is trash you might get two dollars
Weird my comment is gone
I’m black, never tipped a day in my life, not even for doordash and I use it all the time, we just weren’t raised the same lol
