Great video Steve. Love the build so far and will definitely continue to support. Dope garage too!!!
Thank you! 🙏🏻
I just installed coilovers on y nephew's 996 and it got me thinking about doing this for my LC 500. Perfect timing.
It was a little difficult to figure all this out. I couldn’t find any other videos to help me so I figured I’d go ahead and make one to help others! Good luck!
As long has the suspension is still active these coilsovers are the way to go
It is! The RSR BESTi active Coilovers!
I am very interested in picking these up. Thanks for the video! Why did it take so long to get the RSR coils?
About 45 days! Totally worth it.
How are you liking the RSR coilovers? Thanks for the video.
I absolutely love them. No regrets at all.
@@stevensgarage- Steve one more question please. Do you have rear active steering and I assume you don't have any rubbing issues. Thanks
@@gregb-constrictor_culture805 Yes & no issues
Have rsr coilovers on my 370z and I’m disappointed bc the front doesn’t go low but they do ride good
Yeah, I was really surprised that I couldn’t go lower than I am. Fortunately I have mine Almost maxed out. It’s about perfect. Definitely worth it considering the ride is so good.
Have you compared the weight? And what about ride quality in comfort mode, can they be more comfortable than stock? Because i saw RSR diagram where they shows that they can be more soft and more stiff than stock
I just finished everything up yesterday. I haven’t driven it yet but I plan to post a update once I put some miles on it and compare.
myu 2018 feels slight bumpy on rough roads on one side in the rear, likely due to shock needing to be repalced. im thinking about getting these
was there a calibration you had to do with the active suspension servo?
Did you use any special tool to remove the upper control arm or any special technique? Thanks.
I didn’t need to use any special tools, I loosened the nut and then tightened it back on to make it flush with the bolt and then hit that with a mallet, and it popped out
Now you have to adjust them to your satisfaction .
How is the ride on these coilovers compared to stock suspension?
With the active Coilovers, the good ride is retained, I feel slightly more bumps, but overall it is a very good ride
Y do the coilovers? Better ride quality?
I wanted to lower it and retain the ride quality
@@stevensgarage- y not just lowering springs?
Why did you decide to switch them
Cause he had spare time. 🤦🏻♂️
How the car rides?
Rides great!
What year LC is this?
2018!
