The most INSANE White Seabass Fishing in California (Catch, Clean, Cook with Landshark Outdoors)

- Hey everyone welcome to another video! Dylan and I were able to get Viktor from Landshark Outdoors to come back out and join us in California with the Fin Fettish crew in search of white seabass and halibut at the Channel Islands. After a rough and windy spring Captain Brian was confident in taking the run up and putting us in the zone to do some work.
It turned out to be the most epic seabass fishing I had ever personally seen. We had full boat limits just after the morning light and seven halibut to show for our efforts. I did not get any of the halibut bites on my camera so below is the link to Viktor's video for those.

Very great video bro. I’m blessed to feel like I shared this experience with you fellas just watching every moment . Congratulations to all of you with a great day on the water. This video was one of the best videos I’ve seen on RUclips. 🙏🏿
Thank you I appreciate that!
Vik & Brookie sent me your way, Adam. Always nice to connect with another Adam!
My name is Adam as well 😅
Thanks for watching, definitely nice brother!
nice! Man you guys got ‘em. I haven’t been up there in 30 years. Glad I ran into this RUclips rabbit hole video. How’d I get down there lol
If you limit on cbass you should move so you do not keep hooking them. They don't release well. Great vid though. Thanks
Just compleated a day and one half with brian and david with my sons , no hali or white sea bass or hali but we brought home 6 yellow tail 35-40 lb each. we will go back for hali andWsB next year. an epictrip Brian Norris and capt Davidare stand up people and we will fish with them many more times. Victors video of your trip is what made me call brian to make my bucket list shorter.
I dont know how I missed this but that sounds like an awesome trip. Brian and crew are totally great people and I hope you get your wsb the next time around
I am more impressed with the Halibut than the WSB. You guys hit the jackpot.
I was too haha thanks for watching
New subscriber from Texas. Loved this video. The kabobs looked amazing too. 😊
Thanks for watching!
You lucky son of a gunderson. I haven't caught a WSB yet, and you each got three. Amazing video, way to crush it.
Haha! Thanks, definitely have to thank Brian on Fin Fetish he has them dialed.
CPR take what u can use, release the rest for another day of fishing. 😊
Just focking greedy ! just because the limit is x doesn't mean you should catch x number of fish.
There are racks that are sold with stainless steel kabob skewers that hold them just above the grill and you can rotate them when you want to flip them. Very easy with no fish sticking to the grill. Another thing you could try (probably the best option) is the disposable tin grill topper by durable foil. Lots of holes in the bottom to get that grill fire through and grill flavor, but much more surface area where nothing will slip through like on the direct grill, and it's easy to oil it up before placing the fish on there. Great for grilling veggies too, plus super cheap. Wish I could attach a picture of the label for you, but you'll find them even if under a different brand name easily. I'm in San Diego, so I know they are readily available to you.
Love White Sea Bass Fillets with tartar sauce and seafood pasta salad. With 7up or Chardonnay beverages.
Sounds great!
Quality fish pulled that trip
Absolutely!
Fishing in FL
Loving your video , just subbed . please keep them coming.
Thank you I appreciate it!
Seabass don’t release well, kind of a kook maneuver to not move after you limit. Killed a few fish for nothing. Halibut are all over and will gladly eat some squid elsewhere
They release fine. They literally catch them hook and line to release into breeding pens. Also, this was the only squid bed we stayed for maybe 45 mins after catching that 40lber.
Try lower heat next time and cook slower. Other than that dude it’s killer; good stuff brotha 🤙🏼
Will give that a try. Thanks for watching!
Absolutely beautiful content 👌.
Thank you
Thanks for watching!
Epic trip! Great cook! Good Job 👍
You guys put on a clinic. When you have to step over fish I'd say that was catching and not fishing Lol
@@DwightPerkins-i7t it was definitely the trip of a lifetime!
Is it close to Losangeles? I want to go too!
Great video! What island was it? San Clemente? Channel islands?
Thanks! We were fishing the channel islands
Sick video!
Thanks for watching Dylan!
Definitely come to Florida! 🥰
How is it legal to catch that much fish in one go, save me some hahaha
Nice fishing boy's , those White Sea Bass can get over 90 LBS , but common big boy's are about 20 LBS.
It was definitely a trip to remember. My PB is 55, couldnt imagine a 90lber haha
Pro tip. Use a spatula to scrape the skewers off the grill.
Thats a great idea thanks for the tip!
Gotta have a dexter knife!!! Not a problem here in nj lol good vid
We couldnt find them here haha! Theyre great though for sure. Thanks for watching
OH YEAH PEOPLE..!!!!!!!!!..
4:40 lil slo on the reflex 😅
haha so close!
Bro! WTH!
Insanity
Still in disbelief honestly haha
Yoooo sick video, what depth were you fishing for those seabass
Thanks Jordan! We were in 70ft on a squid bed.
What island? What side? Great video.
You want Victorinox which is why Dexter is not even thought about here...
Is that a charter boat?
It's our friend's company. Fin Fettish out of Marina Del Rey!
I love my fish fryed
Do we really need to catch and keep that many WSB?
We ate them all so ya, I would say so.
How are you guys rigging the trap hook on the bucktail? Snell? Tag end of a Palomar?
@fluentfishing7327
we were just tying a palomar to the bend of the hook. whatever your confidence knot is really
What was the weight on that hali?
It was just shy of 40lbs when we weighed it at home the next day!
What island?
Boat limits for crew is BS they don’t have the rod in their hands.
Good conscience sensible anglers who practice practice and preach conservation and protecting our valuable resources. Dude , know when to say when bro! Ain't no glory in c&r whiteseabass dude. God blesses you with three fish limits and it's wasn't enough for you hah? Just a few more released seabass and you would have achieved your expert RUclipsr seabass pro sticker. ..and a seabass patch from the brownie scouts!!😂😂😂 Sleep with one eye open,The bully of church rock is lurking in the shadows.
Haha what?? There were commercial hook and line boats next to us filling their fish holds, any problem with that? We stuck it out a bit longer after a pair of halibut hit the deck, one being a 40lber. Made an effort to try and avoid the wsb with the bucktails on the bottom but once we saw they were all over those too we left the squid bed. You saying you and your friends wouldn't stick it out a bit longer to try and find another giant halibut? Righttt.
🚨In Jesus name ✝️☝️😎🎣🐟🫵
Teriyaki on the WSB?👎
just swing those little bass over the rail- no need for a gaff for a 5lb sea bass brah.
haha 5lb? Why would you risk breaking off the fish, your rig or snapping your rod? also bouncing a lively fish connected to 12-16 ounces of weight into a crowded boat seems smart.
White Sea bass, look very similar to our Australian Mulloway except ours grow to 40kg
I have always thought they looked similar
