  • Finally got this out before the month ended!
This time I'm reviewing the Qi Ja Yao Dao, or the General Qi Waist Saber. I put it through its paces and talk about how well it does. I also perform a new test that I normally don't do... and the results were interesting, to say the least.

Glad to see another video from you. While Chinese Weaponary all of a sudden have gotten more appreciation due to LK Chen Sending out so many samples to RUclipsrs. You were one of the first I found that concentrated on Chinese Jian, and its great to see you still sharing your thoughts.

Hopefully LK releases a Liuyedao or Yanchidao or 9-ringed dao in the near future.

Actually, I'm still taller than him by a few inches. I doubt that's going to be the case for long, though.

I really enjoyed this video. You should be less hard on yourself. You do a good job.

So everyone always asks what your favorite LK is. Obviously they make good swords. But are there any that you felt were a swing and a miss, at least for you?

"Qi ja" (戚家) means "Qi family."

    • @Swordsage

Thank you for the proper translation. However, while what you say is definitely true, for some reason on the LK Chen website, they call this "General Qi Waist Saber". So I was simply repeating what was on the webpage itself. Still, you are right; it should be translated as "Qi Family Waist Saber", if we're going for an accurate translation.

@@Swordsage No worries! I remember LK Chen calling it that, and it weirded me out because I was sure of my translation. But hey, I'm functionally illiterate in Chinese, so what do I know? 😅
