I really enjoyed watching this tutorial. Even though you kept saying you wouldn't worry about a certain step, it looks amazing and high-quality leatherwork. I am just starting myself, and this was very informative and realistically timed. I will follow your tutorials.
This was a really nice video, and your leather cuff is really, really nice. It is hard to find videos online that show nice quality leather cuffs being made, so this was really awesome to find. I hope to see more from you in the future. Thank you :)
Very nice job, it is interesting to see how it is done without all the rules and the result is gorgeous. Very nice 'short' video, wish we could do this in one hour too. :-) The edges are done great
quick tip: when gluing your liner you might try scuffing the grain side with sandpaper. it will help "key" the leather, resulting in a quicker and stronger bond.
Thanks for sharing ... I just bought my first bag of scrap leather to practice. I've just decided recently to give leatherworking a try! I'm actually a potter (I have a real job too lol) and have wanted to try leather craft for a while now.
+Milo Aho I will ... now I have to source some beginning tools. I plan to practice with book marks (I'm a big reader and have a ton of paper craps for bookmarks) and I'd like to try cuff bracelets.
Absolutely awesome and so easy to follow. You have such talent! Is there another way to ink other than using that t Knife/ tool you used? Thanks so much. Jann
Lee, it won't let me reply to your comment. There are plenty of videos that explain that. In most snap packs the setter tools are included. They're pretty self explanatory. Just practice one on some scrap. Don't over do it when hammering. Light taps until its set.
How do you inlay a cabochon stone , on your design or can you direct me to the channel on a flip note your is cool I like how your keeping it simple its not like your trying to over think it also to what type of leather should you use this case. Thanks for any info given.
I'm surer that there are a few videos on how to do it but I would use veg tan leather and wet form it. Watch the first half of my knife sheath keychain video for pointers on wet forming. The size of the stone is very important. You will lose the edges under the leather but if the stone is too large you will lose the comfort of the bracelet. I would use a heavy suede for a liner and it would double as backing to hold the bottom side of the stone. I'd also glue the stone to the suede. Good luck!
This is how to remove the zoomed-out view of this video if you wanted to: yt:crop=16:9 (zooms in on the 16:9 area, removes windowboxing) yt:stretch=16:9 (fixes anamorphic content by scaling to 16:9) yt:stretch=4:3 (fixes 720x480 content that is the wrong aspect ratio by scaling to 4:3) yt:quality=high (default to a high quality stream, depending on availability) I use these sometimes and they work. Just paste the first one (Or just play with them) into your "tags" for the video. Hope this helped!
I just do not understand much English and when you talk of the products I do not understand ! What is the product of these effects on your work and what is the standard size of a bracelet 'm starting this art now and need some help . Here we Brazilians do more work upholstery no bracelets.
William da mota borba my advice to you is to start small. Make simple things first and keep going further on the next thing. Go to the Tandy Leather website and buy a starter kit. If you like working with the products and tools, just keep buying a few tools and dyes and trying new things. The edges are the most important thing. Make them nice and smooth
All I use is regular sealer. If you watch my long version of this video, I go into detail on each product I use. Its very long but you can jump around. Some people use a product called edge cote but I don't like it
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉That design of the lion is awesome!!!! I work with leather as well and I do tooling but I have not done lions or any animals like that. I posted a video of a leather bookmark check it out when you can🎉🎉🎉🎉
great tutorial.
i like your straight to the point no bullshit approach.
That came out beautiful. I searched all over for a video that showed how to make a quality looking bracelet. So glad I found your video, thanks.

Love the video, easy to follow and the end product is beautiful...thanks for sharing
Art is a representation of the artist. For you it may not be perfection but for others it is.
The beauty of art is there is no rules.
Nice work, tfs.

+Donna L is that a huge rock you have under?
+Donna L it's a scrap piece of granite counter top. if you go to a counter top place, they will usually give you a free scrap. they throw them away
+Milo Aho thanks ill do that! Btw you should do more videos! ... your verbal explaining is wonderful!
I am soooo impressed on your workmanship. Do you sell these maybe with an eagle in a thinner leather bracelet-- oh I love your work
Beautiful. Very skillful

After you waxed the edges what did you use to seal the edges with. It looked like a clear liquid of some kind?

Are u there? Just wanted to c if u do any clamping for your sealing?
Thank You. Sure takes a bunch of work to put wrinkles in a prune don't it?
Where'd you get the tools? can you just buy any leather kit and expect it to work?
You can order a tool kit to get started. The swivel knife and the edge beveler are the two most important tools

Hi milo
Why do you sound apathetically depressed?
Why do your eyebrows look like caterpillars?
thanks!
