Honorable mentions: Full House, Step by Step, Sister Sister, Hanging with Mr. Cooper, Wings, Coach, The Drew Carey Show, Clarissa Explains It All, Smart Guy, Kenan and Kel
Wings was hilarious.
Agreed on Wings. Criminally under rated
I wonder if ANY of these are streaming any where
If you replaced the "Screech" and "Steve Irkel" shows with Wings and Drew Carey, you'd have a pretty strong list...
Please add early edition and northern exposure.
Fresh Prince and The Nanny are shows I definitely grew up watching
Fran is still my style icon. Niles still has the best burns ever.
Same and I was a little little dude too😂
I didn’t watch The Nanny until much later in my life but it was amazing and hilarious lol

John 3:16-21
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
Mark 1.15

_Fresh Prince of Bel-Air_ is the embodiment of everything that was awesome about the 90's and remains one of the greatest shows of all time.
Fresh Prince should have been higher than what it was.
The 90’s were one of the best times to be alive. No social media, no internet, no cancel culture, and just overall a more positive vibe that came from those days. So many of the shows delivered some wonderful content while also touching on serious topics for the viewer to learn about. Good times! 😊
yes!!
well, social media is a 2 edged sword, we got peeps that do dumb things, but there are peeps like me who connect with others like you and relive our childhood, and, also connect with peeps I ain’t heard from in what seemed to be years.
Lmao, I knew we would see a comment like this.. I love the 90’s as much as the next guy, but if you think cancel culture and human indecency didn’t exist in the 90’s then you are extremely blinded.
Humans have always been pieces of $hits. Regardless of era or decade, human indecency have ALWAYS existed. We only see it to the level that we know now is because social media has highlighted and shown off what humans have always been.
Back in the 90’s, we didn’t have high tech mini super powered computers in our pockets aka the smartphone, so in turn a person can’t cancel another with a click of a button in mere seconds.
You think that if we had technology capable of such communication back in the 90’s that we wouldn’t see humans being complete pieces of $hits to one another?
Ever since the dawn of time, humans have always been uptight, tribal and certainly toxic. Everything seemed more “peaceful” in the 90’s because technology hasn’t peaked to what we have now. As people were in their own bubbles, people couldn’t actually see how extremely toxic the human race really is.
To suggest the 90’s is the most positive decade is just absolute bull$hit!
I know. You couldn't make most of these shows today because everyone would whinge about being offended. And you put so much value on seeing an episode because there was no downloading later. Maybe taping with VHS if you had a nice enough family member
@@MsJubjubbird now the on demand I’m sort of thankful for, cause I missed so much back then and I didn’t have a VCR til late 90’s. plus a lot of tapes got lost in movies and destroyed. ugh!
I don’t know if it counts as 90s because it first came out in the 80s, but Full House is a major part of my childhood
Mine too
Was going to make a comment about it not being included
Mine too!
It counts. It came out late 80s and ran till the mid 90s.
I am so excited that Fraiser made the list...comedy at it's best. I am a BIG Fraiser fan
Of course, it had to be in the list; TOP 3.
Still watching reruns of The Nanny until now
Same for me or i randomly start it myself xD
Man, Frasier was something special… So many great sitcoms on this list, but Frasier will always hold a special place in my heart.
Not too much of a fan of Frasier and Cheers.
The most successful spinoff in television history!
I'm so glad "Living Single" got the shoutout. Many people don't know that "Living Single" was the inspiration for the creation of "Friends". Queen Latifah admitted this in a 2015 interview.
I'm really sorry. I'm not really familiar with "Living Single" since it was not syndicated outside the U.S hence I was more familiar with "F.R.I.E.N.D.S" and some of the sitcoms on this list
9:40
Plus Living Single was way funnier
They absolutely decided to recreate the same show with a white cast and MUCH bigger budget.

They were all great but Seinfeld, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Saved by the Bell, Friends and The Nanny are legendary💛
Here here!!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love them all
Excellent list! I'd say The Nanny was my absolute favorite. Fran Drescher was the Lucille Ball of the 90s.
Also, much love to Family Matters and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but I also loved Hangin' With Mr. Cooper and Sister Sister.
Livin Single was dope.
Justice for The Drew Carey Show and its INSANE musical numbers
I was shocked it was not on the list. Some of the shows they listed were terrible.
@@Fakeaorta It's like...personally, for me, a lot of these shows I agree with (3rd Rock from the Sun in particular), and I know TDCS was not a huge show for a lot of people, but it WAS a big show for a moment, the music is legendary...but I think it's out of the public consiousness because those same songs that were used to make it perfect are what's causing it to not be available on streaming (although reruns are readily available). I'm from Cleveland, though, so maybe that's part of it for me -- people still ask about the show and wonder when it's gonna be available and I have to let folks down
(you didn't ask for a book of a reply but here we are haha!)
Fresh Prince R.I.P. Uncle Phill
Family Matters R.I.P. Michelle Thomas
Hangin With Mr Cooper
Kenan & Kel
All That
Full House R.I.P. Bob Saget
Steve Harvey R.I.P. Merlin Santana
Martin R.I.P. Tommy
Jamie Foxx
Different World
Wayans Bros R.I.P. John Witherspoon
Ok… and Selena.
All That isn’t a sitcom, it’s a sketch comedy.
If you're going to put All That in the category, then ln Living Color should be added in too, cause it was a great show, too.
And wilson!
"Suddenly Susan" and "Veronica's Closet" and "Caroline In The City"
edit:
If we are going across the pond, let's include "Absolutely Fabulous"!!!
Black shows weren't commonly aired where I live (we don't really have a black community) , guess big wigs thought they wouldn't be a hit, but we did got the Fresh Price and oh boy what a HIT it was.
Boy Meets World being number 20 is CRIMINAL
IKR! Lol.
My thoughts exactly! Definite top 8 if not top 5
My thoughts exactly
iwas wheres the wonder years
I remember watching Boy Meets World on Disney Channel and ABC Family! I love that show.
20. Boys meets world
19. Spin city
18. News Radio
17. 3rd rock from the sun
16. Martin
15. Everybody loves Raimond
14. Family Matters
13. Mr. Bean
12. Saved by the bell
11. Living single
10. Home Improvement
9. Murphy Brown
8. Married with children
7. Mad about you
6. The Nanny
5. Roseanne
4. The Fresh Price of Bell Air
3. Frasier
2. Seinfeld
1. Friends
Finally some love for "Saved by the bell", "Married with children" and "The Nanny"❤
But "Friends" better that "Seinfeld"??, is a list of best comedies, not most popular or overrated
Ridiculous, Friends at #1. Seinfeld was a far more innovative show.
Seinfeld was far better than friends. Only simpletons think friends is better. Seinfeld is the greatest show of all time.
@@danielmaher7108 hahaha not even
@@josephperkins6625 hahahaha not even.
Home Improvement is close to my heart, it's one of the few shows my family watched together as a kid before they divorced. It was also the last thing I watched with my Father before he passed and still fall asleep to it regularly.
I def think Married With Children is the most underrated of all time. Progressive content, great characters, and longevity frfr. The way they catered to their audience is absolutely beautiful imo. It would have been so much fun to be apart of the live studio audience.
My favorite is Seinfeld then Married....With Children
Unhappily Ever After should have made the list. It was a great show, too.
How could you forget Will & Grace?
Will and Grace had its run primarily in the 2000s
Boring
I remember a caller on C-SPAN casually reciting the lyrics to the theme song of the Fresh Prince. It took them a good 5 minutes before they realized what was happening. Hilarious 🤣
I would have put Sabrina in the earlier stages of the list. Even if just for Salem (and somewhat her aunts). Also Dharma and Greg. Jenna Elfman is an underrated actress.
Dharma and Greg 💗💗
Lisa Kudrow with short hair.
I KNEW what the top choice would be, Friends will always be there for us! Boy Meets World also got me through school and college, with insightful life lessons in store.
As a Saudi young lady back then I was very lucky by getting introduced to the American media and culture thru theses sitcom’s .❤
I feel like Coach and Dinosaurs should've gotten a mention.
Coach should have been here for sure
Coach was in my top ten for sure!
Frasier is my number One of the nineties🍷
I grew up watching many of these shows, but my favorites were 3rd Rock from the Sun, The Nanny, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
When I was growing up in the '90s my family never called it "Family Matters". It was just "Urkle".
I am now 53. The highlight of my weekend was starting it on Thursday night with Seinfeld and Friends and ending it with Full House on Friday and the Golden Girls on Saturday. I also loved Home Improvement. Spin City, IMHO, was much funnier and lighter with Michael J. Fox. The cast members seemed more tense when Heather Locklear and Charlie Sheen joined the cast. I think 🤔 Wings should have an honorable mention nod
Liked for the Wings nod.
3rd Rock From the Sun was hilarious, and still holds up.
And I still love "Living Single".
I absolutely love Frasier. I just wish I could watch some of those less well-known series of the decade in my country. Luckly, I'll always have my Frasier and Friends dvds
Martin is totally one of the best shows of the 90,s 🙂
yes and way too low on the list....
I detect bias in the creation of this list.
Frasier was & still is my favourite show of all time. Absolutely love it ❤
I’m shocked Full House wasn’t on this list. It started in the late 80’s and went into the 90’s and it was super popular. Also Sister, Sister was another great show from the 90’s.
I am watching the Nanny again and loving it.
1) The Nanny
2) Boy Meets World
3) Family Matters
4) Brotherly Love
5) Unhappily Ever After
6) NewsRadio
7) Martin Show
8) The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
Step By Step is number one.can't go wrong with Step By Step.second is The Drew Carey Show.
Family matters is a great show 💯
You can touch the mega hit, Friends, but man there’s a lot of great shows in the 90s and a lot of them weren’t even mentioned on this list. There’s just about a show for everyone back then.
My top 20 favorite 90s TV shows
1. Family Matters
2. Full House
3. Martin
4. Married With Children
5. Fresh Prince of Belair
6. Seinfeld
7. The Wayans Brothers
8. Saved By the Bell
9. Hanging With Mr. Cooper
10. Step By Step
11. Kenan and Kel
12. Home lmprovement
13. The Parent Hood
14. Boy Meets World
15. Malcolm and Eddie
16. Rosanne
17. Living Single
18. Unhappily Ever After
19. In the House
20. The Nanny
I hope that none of these shows will receive reboots, since they already stand the test of time, and appeal to modern generations.
I agree, though I watched more shows from the 2000s than I did from the 90s, it's like no one cares to be original anymore. Some original shows have been successful, but 90% of them are reboots.
@@kamsismith True, Fraiser was one of the most successful 90's sitcoms, yet that was spun off from Cheers, an 80's show. However, it didn't rely on the parent show as a crutch, and holds up well on its own.
@@trinaqThe part where you mention appeals to modern generations, will appeal to modern viewers who don't get offended about everything. Most modern viewers are super annoying and want shows to be removed from streaming and TV because it contains material that’s “problematic”. Yes, certain aspects of shows from the decade haven't aged well and some shows are indeed offensive, but that doesn't mean they should be removed.
2 of them already got reboots. Fuller House and Girl Meets World.
More black sitcoms pls. Moesha is iconic.
Thank you for mentioning Mad About You! It’s in my top three favorite sitcoms and I feel like nobody ever talks about it!
Yay!!! Such a great list already and i barely got started!! (I didn't expect you to mention News Radio!!)
I was 10 in 1990…this was the decade I remember as far watching tv…usually with my sister. ❤good times!!!
Full House isn’t on here, it is probably for the best…you forgot sister sister that is one I really liked!!!
The 90s were a time. We had phenomenal shows during that decade. It was definitely also a time for comedians to shine in their own shows. And they did not disappoint!
Saved by the Bell and The Nanny were the best tv shows growing up
So many greats on this list, and many are ones I love.
You know, I wasn't even trying to memorize the rap lyrics to the Fresh Prince theme, but a little over halfway through season 1 (sometime in the early 1990s), I found myself rapping along to it, having memorized it unconsciously, and doing a pretty good job at it. That says a lot as to how magnificent that theme is.
I was never really a Friends fan. I caught a bit of an occasional episode, bit didn't watch it regularly. I never understood the big deal with it or Seinfeld. But, every one is entitled to their own opinions I suppose.
I never cared for friends or Seinfeld
Friends forever , we were on a break , i know , how you doin' , smelly cat and the list goes on
I fall asleep to The Nanny or Martin every night 😂❤
How is Full House not on this list?? It ran 1987-1995, so the bulk of the show ran in the 90s and everyone considers it a 90s sitcom, not an 80s sitcom, and it’s popularity is definitely in the top 10, especially with the reboot of Fuller House…
The show itself was mid.
"Mad about you" really was a very elegant and smart sitcom, very pleasant and sometimes quirky nerdy humor. "The Nanny" would have liked to have landed at number 1. The series has aged very well, as it somehow had its own "Broadway" character and played with very classic, timeless personalities, in which social criticism was not neglected.
The 90s will always be the most lovable decade in human history. This unfortunately was the final decade before the 21st Century ruined everything from 9-11 to Covid-19. Wish we could just go back and ask Michael J. Fox to bring us The Delorean from Back to the Future.
USA High, Two Guys a Girl and a Pizza Place., Becker, Empty Nest, Davis Rules, Bob, George and Leo, Norm, Larry Sanders, Major Dad, Drew Carey, Wings, Night Court, John Larroquette, ...
It was quite a time to have nothing to do at night, and a nice TV
1. Friends
2. Seinfeld
3. Frasier
4. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
5. Family Matters
6. Saved by the Bell
7. Everybody Loves Raymond
8. Boy Meets World
9. Married... with Children
10. The Nanny
11. Mr. Bean
12. Mad About You
13. Roseanne
14. Spin City
15. 3rd Rock from the Sun
16. Murphy Brown
17. NewsRadio
18. Martin
19. Home Improvement
20. Living Single
Y'all made Friends number one, that crazy
Friends or Seinfeld or Frasier. Take your pick.
Boy Meets World, The Nanny, Family Matters, Home Improvement, Seinfeld, and Friends were my go-tos 💖
Next top 20 best cartoons of the 1990s
Spin city was criminally underrated
sabrina was a great show in 1996
The Nanny, Friends, Murphy Brown, Mad About You and Spin City are my favorite TV shows back in the 90’s. But Suddenly Susan and Dharma and Greg are my honorable mentions.
The Thanksgiving show on Mad About You, when Paul and Jamie kept getting turkeys to replace ones that got ruined, actually had me laughing till I cried. That was a super show till the dynamics changed after they had a baby
Wow, I completely forgot about "News Radio".
I remember watching it with my grandmother; we loved our TV evenings with series like these, but she really sat down for News Radio....
Great memories!
I'm a Ross, who married an Emily. Never got my Rachel.
I love boy meets world , full
House , friends , Sabrina the teenage witch and sister sister
The Simpsons, Seinfeld, Friends, Home Improvement and Frasier are my top 5 , I still watch them all the time
How is Friends above Seinfeld???
Step By Step, City Guys, Sex & The City, Full House, Perfect Strangers, Cosby, Thunder Alley, Just Shoot Me, King Of Queens, Hang Time, One World, That 70's Show, Sister Sister
#1's Friends. As Mr. Feeny would say, "Here's my big shocked surprise face 😐. I guess nobody liked Blossom, Step By Step, or Hanging with Mr. Cooper 😔.
I remember watching over half of these shows, both new and especially on reruns, and never once did I hate them. Quotes from Seinfeld, Friends, Home Improvement, and Frasier are passed around my family gatherings so much, you'd think we were the actual actors in a bad joke!
Why wasn’t full house on here??
It’s an ICONIC 90s show and deserved to be on the list more than half of these other shows!
I grew up watching most of these shows but some of my favourites were Saved by the Bell and Mr Bean
Frasier will always be the best sitcom ever.
My personal favorite TV shows are Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond, The Simpsons, Seinfeld, Fraiser, Cheers and The Golden Girls! I have a pretty long list of TV shows I watch, but these are just my faves. I think you could tell that I like 90s TV shows 🤣 and if I would have to pick a favorite from these, it's Friends.
great list, just switch number 1 and 2 and its perfect
Love the list, but you guys forgot about Alf.
80's
That’s a lot of 90’s shows!
The wb had a lot of sitcoms during the 90's like the waynes bros, unhappily ever after, the parent hood, simon, kirk, brotherly love and sister sister
If you were a 90s kid its safe to say that youre using lessons from uncle phil on your kids today
I'm sorry, but for me The Nanny deserves the number one spot. The humor has survived the decades much better than friends for me...
I came to US when i was 11, my parents always away working so TV is my life. Friends, Boy Meets World and Home Improvement are my best. Family matters is the one that got me start watching sitcom. One sitcom i wish i can go back in time to watch is Roseanne. I love Fresh Prince, Married with Children, Step by Step.
Where is "Full house"?
3rd Rock from the sun
Mr Bean
Family Matters
Home Improvement
Murphy Brown
all apart of my childhood.
Frasier, Friends and The Nanny I found much later, and Thank God I did. Comedy sitcom gold at it's best.
and with 3 love stories I absolutely adore. Niles and Daphne, Chandler and Monica, and Fran and Max, So good.
Mr. Bean was a stable for me in the 90s
I am currently binging Frasier & loving every episode. I think it is funnier than Seinfeld.
I'm so happy that living single is on this list 🙂🎉🎊
Excellent video 📹 👏 Mojo found it be very interesting 👍 😀. Some of the shows I really enjoyed as a teen in the 90s mentioned here were Friends(loved all the characters),Boy meets world 🌎, Friends, Married with Children (I loved ❤ Peggy, Bud, and of course Kelly) Saved by the Bell (all of the characters) The Nanny, Martin, Family Matters (Steve Ukiel was so funny lol 🤣 😂 and annoying). Living Single was cool 😎 too (liked the theme song 🎵 from Queen Lafia). (Fresh Prince of Belair Will Smith was awesome)Home 🏡 Improvement, Fraser, Rosanne (Darlenne loved her) were ok 👍. I also really liked Full House 🏠, 90210, Buffy, Angel, Melrose, Small Ville. Thanks again Mojo excellent video 📹 👏.
A nice presentation, Ms Mojo-although it was a surprise that ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ didn’t outrank several of the other higher-rated picks.
However, you’re redeemed by getting ‘Murphy Brown’ into the top 10. (It’s frustratingly hard to find, and I’m still trying to collect seasons 2-10, which were never released by the weenies at Warner Brothers.
Music rights, my fanny.)
Will definitely be hoping for eventual part 2 please, here's a mini list with Sabrina the teenage witch and my wife and kids in the list, please and thank you for listening to my request
I miss this kind of TV - the 90s were perfect
Absolutely friends so iconic and funny
Great job at being first!❤❤
Ummm... A Different World???
I cannot believe that Boy Meets World was #20 when it is one of the most popular shows of the 90s
To me; the nanny, friends, fresh prince, boy meets world
My favorite 90's sitcom is Boy Meets World.
They did make a spin off: girl meets world! Either way, the 90s and early 2000s was where CREATIVITY IN SHOWS AND MOVIES SADLY STOPPED BEING TRUELY CREATIVE AND FULL OF VARIETY!!!!!!! Sorry for the all caps, but I truly miss this type of variety and acceptance of ALL people!!!!!
so happy to see Frasier so high on the list I feel like its always gets over shadowed. so many shows on here I grew up watching I didn't watch the Nanny when it 1st air but watched in re-runs years later and LOVED it became obsessed with Fran and Maxwell getting together need this show on a stream site so I can watch from start to finish! also 3rd Rock from the Sun, watched live but want to re-watch!
I can’t get enough of _Seinfeld._ How can you NOT love that show about nothing?
Lol! Same!❤❤❤😂😂😂😂
Agreed, it's fitting that both the first and last conversations were about the same subject, which they even point out.
Seinfeld > friends and martin
