This water experiment shows what happens when the frame rate of a camera matches the frequency of a speaker, and what happens to the water coming out of an attached hose.

I thought this looked fake at first, and now I get why. Science is amazing
La sciences n'est que l'étude des lois divines.
Et oui on peut considèrer que c'est faux vu que le motif ne correspond pas au son du clip.
I love the way how everything internally connected in the Universe.
Of course, God created it. Creation is like a perfect machine that shows a glimpse of the power and goodness of God
I love these videos it shows what sound looks like I have hearing Acuity deafness a friend recently got surgery to help his hearing that he lost when he was three I sent him your video to show just exactly what sound looks like he was very impressed and after the surgery he totally agreed with me
Thoroughly enjoyed and shared to hundreds the original video! Seeing how it was made just makes it all the better!! Kudos Nigel!
These "behind the scenes" videos have me geeking out!
Thank you for this!
Best video for me ever. I want to update this techniques with full of bit music and human speech
I would love to see that!
The way you people played with the frame rates and frequency is just sick!
The first time I ever saw this experiment, I loved it. With Hose pipe, you took it another level..nice work.
Интересные эксперименты!
Is this how they did the seen in "Now you see me 2" where he made the rain go up and down
This is what genius makes!
Hi mate, first of all congrats for your cymatic installation. Do you use a hertz function generator and hertz wave amplifier ? Obviously if so can you please advise me which type of éléments do I have to purchase? Thanks.
wauw your work is so phaszinating and stunning!!! coooool
This is for what I pay my internet bill for
Can I come visit your laboratory and sing harmonies with my singing partner? (we sing songs at the bedside of people who are dying and sometimes the vibrational qualities are tangible & transformational.) It would be thrilling to SEE what we are feeling.
Should check out Cymatics: Hose Pipe Water Experiment on RUclips!
Does it work with a strobe light?
Incredible.
Can you do it without a speaker . By that I mean .a mother or an oscilator
I saw this experiment last summer and was so close to doing it. I have a couple extra sub-woofers that I don't care about so I guess I will try it with them.
the sub could be the jbl esp250
You guys rock. I've been studying sound back in the days of antiquity, when they were actually using it via churches, other than the obvious organs. Man, far out stuff.
Genius

This kind of explains the hose a bit more, I think. An example of aliasing and how it can affect your visual analysis. This was the only thing in the video I really had to slow down and examine closely, everything else I had seen before for the most, except the firetube. Really amazing video though, loved it!
MANTAP
Laser (pointer for example) is not enough in a tube of water on the reels. Will be even steeper.
Лазера (указка например) не хватает в трубке с водой на барабанах. Будет еще круче.
Awesome
I see you in future with higher performance like huge waterfalls and lights maybe you can come my country Canada for performance in Niagara Falls ,,if you let me play my music { Halo 3 symphony and compose by me Halo awaking and After divide symphony ...
😍
so the spiral is what we see through the camera, but what did it look like to you?
I think it's still a spiral but it doesn't go back into the hose.
Could you adjust it to your eyes frame rate?
to what?
yes
Human eye doesn't take samples at discrete time intervals, the cones probably has some frequency response so the image start to blur.
Look at the spokes of an alloy wheel or lathe chuck or something like that, you'll never find a frequency when you see it stationary or rotating backwards. (and don't get fooled by the flickering CCFL/LED room light)
It is interesting however that for slower speeds, like paper exiting out of a label printer (200mm/s or so), when I concentrate, I can see it as stationary for a moment, like I would have taken a photograph. I don't know how exactly this works, but my theory is that I can sync to and follow the movement by moving my eye as long as it's within the range of motion.
Aha, this was the only one I didn't understand.
You need to find the sound the tree ring played on a record
I like it
i always know it was fake, thank so much.
whaat is this real?
you guys very good ..I could not develop my dreams You did ...
Да ты не говори, а музыку играй!

Speaker got pee
So water can bend ;)
Yes definitely. What u thought?
Ofc water has weight and there is gravity what do you think
CHEZBURGERS!!!!!!!
