@Dan Furmanek there's also a biological component is the video; I've heard of research being done where sound/frequencies are being used to destroy cancerous tumors and/or cancer cells. everything is a matter of frequency, including thought.
Sound and light are one in the same. Sound is vibrations through the air, light is electromagnetic vibrations through space. The only thing that exist is vibration, matter is nothing more than standing waves of resonance within space-time itself. Religion was first developed to quantify the mechanisms of creation, but after a while the scientific information contained within scripture have been misunderstood. Religion and science are opposite sides of the same coin! Heat is energy and energy is vibration, the intrinsic order governing the propagation of vibration is God! Life is energy that has gone through a high degree of order through a long period of time!
I remember something from this crazy neighbor I had in San Francisco (this would be early to mid 1970s). He did experiments with active noise cancelation, basically making a bulldozer nearly silent. And other experiments. This one experiment he used to tones, from two different sources. IIRC, he was saying when the two tones echo off the wall, you get a third tone. What was interesting to me was that third tone. It was the difference of the two tones. EXAMPLE: 1Khz tone and 3Khz tone both reflected off a wall, gives you a 2Khz tone. If he was correct, you could reflect two tones that were out of hearing range, and get back a reflection that was IN HEARING range. Making sounds as if the sound were originating from where the echo was.

This is sorta like stumbling onto a 6th sense...a different fundamental understanding of universal phenomena that were always there around us....but we are just now tuning into it...

@@rolandosauceda1070 Tune your guitar to 432hz instead of 440hz it's just a slightly different feel but noticeable to the trained ear, 432hz is the natural frequency of music. It was changed in the early part of the century, I believe to make people easier to control.
7:30 I wonder if you could create a motor of some kind with this effect. If you would have a resonating material that doesnt get destroyed like glass and you`d put an object into it, it would jump around in that chamber and could potentially, power some kind of mechanism that generates a force that could be used to harvest this energy. It would be a resonance motor. Those flames do look really cool.
Look into the old onion dome church. The steeple reaches up and gets the atmospheric static electricity and the smaller domes around it are the resonators. This video is really awesome such simple ways to illustrate the properties of soundwaves. However, I really hope physics teachers don't just show this video. Yes, kids will think it's cool but imagine how much more engaged they'll be if you take these experiments to the next level. e.g. What happens with smaller coke bottles? different sized bottles? What about the Ruben's tube - what happens if you vary the tension on the balloon? How do you make the most lights go out instead of one or two? Why? This is a great resource for science educators.
The meaning of this is powerful. You know damn well frequency can heal. Also can cause damage. Makes you wonder about the music today and how it plays on our mental and physical health. Not from the lyrical content. But from the frequencies..
@@mindtraveller100 well yes that’s the frequency range for which humans can hear. Or close too. But each note has its own direct frequency. That’s why race cars can play songs with their engines. Cuz like frequencies rpm is creating certain frequencies based on the speed of the motor. But my question is why a lot of these songs being keys to F minor and stuff what it could mean or do.
for the vibration and salt demonstration, do you know if the frequencies need to be changed based on the size of the plate? If the plates smaller, will it need more, or less frequency to create the same shape as you would on a larger plate.
Larger plate means larger fundamental wave length means lower fundamental frequencies means all resonant frequencies are shifted towards lower frequencies.
Bottom line.....it is what it is. As a musician I love sounds and creating music. The points the video makes just pick at my brain saying, "What are you going to do from here"?? knowing what sound does?
