I spent 1 week learning to Perfect Parry every Super in SF6

- This is much, much more difficult than parrying in 3rd Strike. In that game the parry window after your input is 10 frames, in SF6 I believe it is 2 frames.
Also, note that perfect parrying 'hit' attacks cause the screen to momentarily freeze while projectiles do not.

This was genuinely difficult to put together and took a lot of time. SF6 is generally more accessible and easier to learn than other Street Fighter games but It's much, much more difficult to do perfect parry stuff than it is in 3rd strike. Parrying Zangief's Level 2 and Jamie's Level 1 took a lot of time and it felt like I actually had to 'get good' to finally pull them off.

ROFL... man, you are insane... I never use Drive Parry unless I want to use Drive Reversal.
Perfect Parry sounds great on paper, but the scaling make it useless. You cannot rely on it during the gameplay either.

Desk is just trying to give us hope; we all know he mastered it all on the first try and the eight minutes is exactly how long it took him to do all of it.

That's actually why they didn't let him play early. They wanted the game's sauces and secrets to remain sealed until retail release

Gods desk, you're insane at times. Somehow Luke's level 1 being so difficult to perfect parry that even the CPU can't do it right now is unsurprising: it fits his "new main protagonist" energy.
Also, despite being among your simplest punishes, all of the air throw ones come off as hilarious, especially Cammy vs. Lily. Poor girl must have accidentaly clobbered a cat in front of Cammy or something. (Ditto for the taunt "punishes" and EVO moment nods.)

i bet the lvl1 jamie was the hardest as i tried perfect parry it but i just couldn't, his lvl1 active frames are not going in the same rythm like chun's lvl2. mad respect for your efforts to pull these off man nice vid !

@@SmokePudding i mean, perfect parries are very strong. They can totally flip a situation on its head and turn what would be a safe frametrap into a cornered knockdown, and pretty much the only way around them is hard callout with throw. They're just different from how people typically think of a parry, using them to get huge punishes on pokes in neutral or pull a moment 37. These parries aren't good on offence, they're good on defence. Which... makes sense, doesn't it?

This was awesome! Did you manually input MP + MK or did you use a bind of MP + MK to perfect parry all of these? Just curious because I unbinded my parry button to 3 kicks. Also is a perfect parry a 1F or 2F window? Haven't tested it myself yet.

Nah perfect parry is a really safe option because if you fuck it up you get regular parry most of the time. You don’t want the scaling to be good or else the whole game would revolve around a really safe really rewarding option.
If perfect parry didn't scale the game would become Perfect Parry 6.

It looks like perfect parrying Sonic Hurricane is worse than normal parrying or blocking it? (Unless you're in range to do something like PP directly into LV3) Guile recovers WAY before Cammy does, and could potentially dash in to mixup or throw.
@@icedacream Trying to perfect parry ALL of Chun's super doesn't make sense... you would just PP the first hit and then do a quick interrupt combo with decent corner carry (or just backthrow if you're near the corner).
