im so happy for desk that dhalsim is base roster, his fireballs always lead to the goofiest stuff
Soon we'll have Rashid tornado and (hopefully) Ed's VT1 to interrupt as well!
@@malcovich_games i hope they give Ed crazy Psycho Power moves
@@kingofdragons7 Cardboard Box Warrior in World Tour may be clues to possible Ed moves...
maybe it's just me but I'm least excited by these combos. like when i see urien/dhalsim i already know what will happen
@@-nomi.- that was SFV, in SF6 there's more creativity
Really appreciate the breakdown in the second half to explain how/why these combos work as they do. Thank you!
Yeah, these combos are impressive by themselves, but become even more impressive once you understand the tech behind them.
the only one i dont get is the Honda one. ive never known what "meaty" means in terms of just hitting an opponent.
the comparison confuses me more as im seeing the exact same move have 2 different effects in the same situation.
@@ArcRay20meaty just means the move hits after the first active frame, giving you more frame advantage than normal.
@@ArcRay20 An attack hitting "meaty" means that it hits the opponent later than its first active frame (obviously this can only work if the attack has more than one active frame). Since the attack's properties remain the same (it keeps the opponent in hit- or blockstun for X frames), if you have it hit on a later active frame, you recover earlier than you do normally, resulting in better on hit/block frame advantage. This is the easiest to do on the opponent's wakeup, since they are invulnerable during their wakeup animation, so you can time your attack to hit just a fraction of a second later than the animation completes. But some normals or specials also make the character move during the attack animation, and you can also use that to your advantage: with proper positioning, the first few active frames of the attack will not reach the opponent, only when you get close enough. Kimberly's slide is a very good example of this: its on hit/block advantage depends heavily on how far you use it from the opponent, or in other words, "how meaty" does it hit.
@@pip25hu man, my best guess for what it meant was way off.
So glad this series is back, was probably one of my favorites of the SF5 era
I'm so glad desk explained the combos after, it's so interesting. Even if I didn't understand half of them 😅
Haha, sorry about that.
Excellent work as always. The combo ideas, the skills, the editing, music. And a welcome breakdown section included.
Hey desk- thanks for bringing the breakdowns on this one! I always liked reading the video description about how stuff works
Love how the SM64 menu theme is the iconic-goto BGM for gameplay breakdowns 😆😊👌
Always enjoy the over-explanation type videos where desk breaks down the combo and explains why it is so impressive. (OFC with cool music in the background)
Showing how the sausage is made in the back half of the video is SUPER EDUCATIONAL and I am here for it! Thank you, Desk!
Dude, its amazing you keep improve your job. Now with explanation and tutorials...you are the man.
These are just amazing! 3 DI's in one combo is crazy af.
0:18 I'll never tire watching Co-op Combos
XD
As a viewer since SFV days, it makes me happy to see that the same frame hit effect is still in the game. And you even used the same music for the explanation part, a very nice touch.
When you can't combo yourself, new desk drops are always bittersweet😢
Sick as always
I didnt know combos this crazy even existed in the game lol.
Thanks for the Explanations at the end!
Thank you! I really appreciate it!
A Desk video with a River City Ransom remix?!?!
I NEVER KNEW HOW MUCH I NEEDED THIS!!!
Thanks for the breakdowns! Helps me appreciate the technicality and beauty of these combos.
Geez that Cammy combo is so pretty looking, but I especially like the beginning animation of her Lv. 2 a lot anyway, so it's hardly surprising. All of these are neat though.
That Kimberly combo was sweet
You cheeky bastard lol. That was a dope setup for the 3 supers in 1 combo👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
you really went all-out with the explanations as well, great job
everybody is talking about the breakdowns but not the background music playing during them. 10/10 music choice.
Man those counter hit DIs in the middle of the combo are so sick
The JP combo ending into sweep was chef’s 💋
Imagine it was the other way around where normal parties slow down the opponent so that you would have to perfect parry as not to let guile jump in with extra time
This is such a cool video, youre already pushing this games combo system past its limits, super cool to see this all in action, i couldnt even land one of these combos. Great sruff as always 🤙
Suggestion: since we are close to the 15th anniversary of SF4 do you have any interest in making a combo video with the theme of the SF4-6 evolution?
The first combo was my favorite 👌
And oh my goodness, the file select track is soo good 🔥🔥🔥
EX Yoga Arch has become the new Ed V-Trigger for these vids
Awesome combos and great explanations.
0:43
Blanka with that Mighty Joe Young shuffle across the screen 💀😭😭😭
When you thought you've seen it all.. then Desk pulls out a fast one.
awesome combos and the explanations are really cool too!!!
Love the explanations at the end Thank you
Explanations at the end are nice!
Looking like Dhalsim's going to be SF6's "Urien" in terms of free combo extensions for Desk.
You've heard of Fight Choreography, now get ready for Fight Theatrics
I love the analysis breakdown
Came for the combos (which are awesome), staying for those kick-ass remixes. (I'm ashamed it took me as long as it did to remember what game the second one came from... 😅 )
You finding all this stuff is just mind blowing.
Loving the music 🎶. 😁👍
Really great editing on this video
and he made the sound track to the video, damnn
It took me a minute but I realized the first ost was from dragon ball fighterz. Nice video as always bro 😎💯
Desk: 10 Combos that will never happen in a real match!
Sako and Itabashi: Hold my beer
Dhalsim: Has homing fireball.
Desk: It's free real estate.
these trades was so fast I didnt even notice the multiple supers in combos lol
What! I was rewatching the series today!
Rashid is in 2 weeks, I can’t wait for that combo video
Love it when Dhalsim throws one of his bouncy fireballs into play :D
Amazing combos
This man is a genius.
What would we do without desk to show us the true insanity of fighting games?
I am SO mad with capcom, but you probably will make me come back to this game, dude.
Nice info!!!
YO THESE COMBOS ARE FUCKING SICK!!!
4 bars with Guile and Ken! 😲😲
BOW TO YOUR KING!!!
OD Yoga Arch is the real MVP here
Can’t wait till he does some avatar combos. Those will be nutty
wait, you make your own music? if so that makes give alot more respect to your vids
I know this is a sf6 video, but retro Namek theme from DBFZ has me hype lol
Never happen in a real match?
Let me tell you the tale of this guy called Daigo...
Godlike!
Does anyone have any tips on how to dash more consistently with stick? I can hit maybe one out of every ten Drive Rushes in training mode, so I'm not sure if I missed something regarding the timing of each individual forward press, or if the stick is simply taking too long to return to neutral.
Amazing
2:31 I sometimes find it difficult to get 3 loop kicks alone in the corner you did it with all that other counter attack and trade hits happening wow! I don't get how being hit back keeps the combo going lol. But it's amazing and creative 😍
Leave it to desk to find out you can do drive impact crushes mid combo lmao!
I feel like when desk releases a video all capcom staff stop what they are doing to watch and learn from his videos lol
0:44 Blanka be like Float like a Butterfly and Cammy be like Sting like a Bee
wild!
What are talking about Desk? That Honda combo is one one my standard BnBs. Just gotta do 10 headbutts and 10 buttslams to condition them first.
lol would try that cammy one in real match
What's the first OST from? I swear I've heard it before. Great Arranged version though!
All this told me is don’t be afraid to beat dhalsim ass when that fireball is coming
You make this game look like marvel
Honda has a loop now? Noice.
No game is safe from Desk
combos that won't happen in a real match, sure, but that DI crumples during a trade i think might be entirely possible under highly specific circumstances. Might want to keep an eye out if there's one of Sim's bouncing fireballs, or a blanka-chan coming your way mid combo...
Let's see what the DLC brongs us...
Jesus Dude!!!
Hey desk you should try perfect parrying all 99 balls in the world tour mini game, it’s the hard difficulty
I'm still trying to work out how the chun combo worked. How did you land the 2 crouching MK's when EX Kikoken is only +5 on hit and Crouching MK is 7f and there was no counter hit or punish counter?
desk ı have a ask for u. ı cant find ssf4ae oni combo videos.ı remember these combo videos but ı didn't find ur channel or u remove these oni combo videos. Please tell me mate.
So is the sonix hurricane unlockable while standing?
"But wait, we can do better"
Sims fireball have new properties compared to 5.
P.S. Kimberly is a cutie.
You sure you didnt have the old revision to do all thoee combos?
absorbing hits with DI to create a crumple is one of the biggest thing i never knew it could happen in this game... this legit might be viable in some matches where yeah Dhalsim fireball is a threat or blanka chan. i been hit or stop doing a combo midpunish cause of the projectiles coming in.
sometimes i wonder if anybody uses this stuff to try and actually find situations to make these happen?
like baiting out for that Dhalsim fireball just so they can attempt one of those "hit-stun reset combos" or whatever you would call
that classic Desk combo thing they do.
Can you now do custom avatar combo or 100% combos?
Id love to see how much hours you have in training haha
Gotta wonder how much drive gauge you could steal in a combo with the right setup
Could you burn someone out from 4 bars? 5? Full?
0:19 WHAT
So JP's SA2 makes it so he gains no meter during the rest of that whole combo? Or was the SA Gauge set to "Fixed"? Thats odd
Okay hold up, I thought priority for fireball supers went by level. You're telling me Ryu's Lv1 beats Guile's Lv2?
So now we know: Never, ever use Dhalsim bouncing fireball if it would go over the opponent.
What track is this sampled after?
