As a cool to neutral tone girl I am not surprised you’re migrating into “cool & blues” territory simply because those tones can make your neutral to warm coloring pop even more. It took me a few years to realize the reverse of this in my case with advice from an artist, who helped me choose the right “contrast” to frame a beloved print! Nice review…

I usually avoid blues (even teals) because it brings me bad 80s/90s vibes, but this is something I can do! Looks so good.

My favorite is the Hocus Pocus palette from this year. That palette has a draw for me that I just can’t stop using. I am sad that I didn’t get the Star Wars palette. Thank you for sharing your favorites!

I'm so excited that you had the Muppet palette on your list. I got it because of the theme and nostalgia but it has become my most used palette. The colors are super fun and they perform so well.
I picked up troublemaker recently and really love it! Next time I pick up a colourpop order it will definitely include the Aurora Struck palette💙💜
Thanks for remembering the So Fly palette! That one and its sister palette Glow Getter were among my CP faves this year. I wish I could wear the cool toned palettes on the rest of your list as well as you do!
I bought the trouble maker pallette after your video and I have zero regrets! It is not the average neutral palette, the quality is great, the shades have so much variety and is also a nice companion pallette!
I love the big palettes. I feel like an artist when I use them. The variety gets my creativity flowing. Since I started using the mega palettes, the four pans feel limiting. Isn’t it interesting how we react to palette sizes and color stories?
Aurora Struck knocked my socks off. It’s the colorful palette I’ve been craving without knowing it. And Pretty Please is so much my taste. I can’t believe I bought two full price palettes at the end of the year.
The colors in the Trouble Maker palette intrigue me, but the packaging sets off vertigo for me. I don’t remember ever skipping buying makeup because of its packaging, but this one is a firm no-buy for me.
The cool tones and blues look *great* on you, especially with the darker hair!
My favorite has to be the Star Wars palette! Hands down the best SW palette ever done when it comes to color scheme and the packaging. Love it SO MUCH!
I only bought five new release CP palettes this year, and three of them are in your top 10! I’d say I chose well - I especially also adore Shell Shocked - I love the shades in that palette and I’ve found it’s beautiful for traveling.

I went so hard on CP last year and bought so many palettes (relative to my sporadic makeup usage), I actually haven’t bought any new releases this year. 😳 The only order I made was to replace some Fourth Ray items I’d used up… I’m waiting to see if they do an after-Christmas sale to possibly pick up Aurora Struck.

I agree, 2021 was one of Colourpop’s best years. Like I bring Limoncello and Lush Life with me when I travel because they have all the colors I could need. This year I only bought the Avatar, Hocus Pocus 2, and Aurora Struck palettes! And I haven’t gotten Aurora in the mail yet (the 20th is when I should get it), but the other 2 I love!
And I was almost tempted to get the Troublemaker and the one from the Mariela collection, but I think I might be getting one of those for Christmas lol Aurora Struck is what I expected Troublemaker to be. But I also have the Smoke N Roses mega palette, so I’ll probably be able to dupe it out!
I liked the idea of the shell shocked and jewel toned quads but ultimately exhibited self control and didn’t buy them lol I got the topaz and emerald quads for my mom for her birthday this year, since emerald is her birth stone and the topaz had some good neutrals!

You can always split up the vault and give the palettes you won't use as gifts for someone who will love them!
Sometimes after the holidays they sell them separately. Not guaranteed, but a possibility.
That eye look is soooo pretty. Also, I really enjoyed the new Hocus Pocus movie. It was cute.
The all hallows eve is the only palette ever that I've bought on release. No regrets. I love it
I love this video every year ❤️ I literally have NO IDEA how I missed it but I missed the "so fly" palette somehow and I think I need it! 😍 I also love the color story of the Muppets palette and I LOVED Kermit as a kid so that could be my excuse to get it lol
I'm happy that you've started to enjoy cool tones and hues more because I've been loving them especially this year too! I haven't really tried a mint look despite my love for green shadows, but I absolutely love your eye look here and I'll definitely be recreating it. It also always makes me smile when you say "I love your face", I love that saying and I love your face too :))

I love seeing the variety in the rankings of different creators, it's so much more interesting than if everyone had the same top 10. ❤😊 My favourites this year are All Amethyst (absolute no1) and Aurora Struck. I also got two of those jewel toned quads this year (Sapphire and Emerald) and I love them, too. Plus I've really gotten into the SSS this year, they are such a gorgeous formula.
The Star Wars palette is one of the best in my collection, and probably the one that I would save if I had to just keep one. I love it soooooo much!
I know so many people are gonna have that one in their favorites this year! Such a good release!

The three Colourpop palettes that I bought this year were So Fly, Making Mauves, and The Mandalorian palette. My favorite was So Fly. I’ve used it so much as my go-to easy, everyday type palette. When I saw it in store, I thought it was going to be a bit more pink and cool toned than it ended up being, so at first I wasn’t sure how I felt about it. But it turned out to be my most used palette of the year. It’s great for traveling too. I enjoyed seeing what your top 10 palettes of the year were and I was definitely surprised by some, tbh. 😊

Shell shocked spoke to me the moment I saw it! I’ve wanted it for ages and finally ordered it and aurorastruck a couple weeks ago. Still waiting for them but I can’t tell you how excited I am. Those colours are my jam. Pastels and blues pinks purples greens. Love them! I’m a big fan of colour pops cool tones with stone cold fox and that’s taupe being my daily wear palettes. I love cool tones. When the pendulum swings back to warm and it will, I will still search out and use cool tones.

The palette that surprised me this year was the Nyx Utopia palette. I don't usually go for large palettes, but the color story was so enticing. The shadows are pretty nice as well. 10/10

I ordered the Star Wars palette towards the end of the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale and just finally got it. I can't wait to play with it! I love the Star Wars franchise and love the color story in this palette.

Maybe it’s the holiday but I’ve been loving red eyeshadow. The Star Wars palettes look so nice. Some of my favorite CP are from Disney. The colors just seem richer than others.

I want the blue glitter from Sweet Vibes and the green glitter from Muppets. Possibly the star wars and aurora struck palette. Trying to buy a lot less. I depotted all my ColourPop and sorted them by colors. It almost alleviated any desire to buy after seeing how many dupes I had. But I gave the dupes of shades to my daughters and one of their friends. So now all the makeup will get some love!

I really love the look of Aurora Struck, but I just know I will never use that big of a palette. I ordered the little Sapphire palette and Box of Chocolates because I had been looking at that one. I already have the Troublemaker palette. Cool toned palettes are definitely my jam!! Thanks for your very comprehensive reviews that takes into account the regular consumer!! I was tempted by the so fly, but I rarely wear neutrals. But that green/teracotta/ dark brown corner calls to me as well as the bright shade. Primarily, what calls to me is the packaging.
It's a really well-rounded one... kinda sneaks up on you because the first impression isn't crazy but it's a really great lil palette!

I bought the 'set on sapphire' palette. I love blues and it is good but I don't know, I think I expected more and I actually don't like that packaging, too delicate for travelling... I really wanted the 'shell shocked', but I am afraid that It is too sheer for me so I didn't get it. 'Aurora struck' is totally my vibe but I think I have those colours several times in my collection. I may buy it next year, or I will dupe it using 'high tide', 'lilac you a lot', 'on cloud blue', 'blue moon', Mercury retrograde from Huda and Serenity from Cosmic brushes. I definitely have too many palettes, hahaha.

The shade "real" in the troublemaker palette looks really similar to the shade "clan of two" from the mandalorian palette and the super shock "rooftop cocktail" I feel like they put this shade in a lot of their palettes. Could you please do a comparison of all of them?

I love grungy colors, and I ordered the Troublemaker one for Xmas vacation and they sent me Ctrl+Alt instead, thankfully I was going to order it another time with the Auraua one l, but really wanted the Troublemaker one😭
Reach out to them. They will most likely let you keep the wrong palette as well as send you the replacement. I've contacted support multiple times for missing/wrong items and always got to keep the product.
Aurora Struck is so gorgeous but I don’t like big palettes. They’re so overwhelming to me 😩 I wish colourpop pulled a beauty bay and came out with smaller versions of the same colour story

Did you have any issues with your purples in the Hocus Pocus 2? I couldn’t get anything out of the shimmer/satin, and the matte was bad too. I didn’t see anyone bring it up in any reviews so I’m pretty sure I just got a bad palette. Which stinks because I loved the rest of the palette, and the collection as a whole.
I’ve actually only bought one CP palette this year- troublemaker. 🥰🤣 I guess chose well!

Hello from Brazil Amanda! I LOVE COLOURPOP TO... Here in we don't have colourpop and we need to import from the Website. I love your reviews ... Can I as you a favor? The Highlighter Champagne pop (becca) is my favorite one... but I love the supershock texture... I all ready have thimble and lunch money... but they don't look like champagne pop color... Can you tell what supershock highlighter have a similar color to champagne pop (becca)??? I think is a peach gold ... and I have a fair skin .. can't be to dark... please and thanks all ready! 🥰😘
I'm new to Colourpop and they have SO much that I am unsure what to go for and what to stay away from as far as quality. I know other brands that put out a lot of palettes often have varying degrees of quality between the palettes. Is this the same with Colourpop or do you think any one is equal?

My favorite CP palette of the year is Star Wars. I wear a LOT of blue eyeshadow, so it is a perfect choice but it also has some great neutrals in there so it's a great palette to take when traveling. I have the Muppets palette at the top of my wish list followed by Aurora Struck. I've gotten a few gift cards so far for Target, so I'm putting together a loooong list for the Ulta.
I felt the same about the Star Wars palette. When I first saw it, I thought meh. It didn't appeal to me. As time went on and I looked at it more and more, I started to want it.
Funnily enough, I also own The Child, The Mandalorian, and Darth Vader palettes. And I'm not a Star Wars fan. I depotted these 3, if that's any indication of how much a fan I'm not.
I really hate that I missed out on the Avatar palette.
My top palette is not a box of chocolate. My second is trouble maker.
