Hey I just want to let you know I'm a 21 year old that never really used makeup. I found you through your main channel and my interest for makeup has really skyrocketed since I started watching you and I have been playing around with makeup more now. I just bought my first makeup collection and thank you for getting super excited about makeup after how many years of avoiding it.

To be perfectly honest, I just found out that my skin is more of a dry type when I had been using stuff for oily skin until now. My one true favorite for now is my benefit eyeliner but I'm trying to find something like that but is cruelty free. I have been stuck with older hand me down pallets I have been trying to work with and now waste but they are chalky (I should mention these are old Ulta pallets). I bought the monochrome collection from colorpop to see how I like them compared to my hand me downs and I am super excited to have makeup I actually bought for myself!! How about you??

@@fightingfishes007 Hey! sorry it took me so long to respond, I just realized that the responses to your comments on RUclips get emailed to you so I just saw this. I also have a few hand me downs, and I recently nailed a really cute eye look! My mom and I were super excited! I ended up purchasing the Wild Child palette after this video and it's beautiful and I love it! I have also realized that I like to apply eyeshadow with both my finger and a brush. Not either one by itself. My skin is also dry, VERY dry, and Im still trying to figure out a good skin care routine to help it. So far, the only thing that seems to work is after I wash my face with a CeraVe cleanser, I put a little bit of Aquaphor in my hand and about 5 drops of Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil by Dr. Botanicals, mix it up in my hands and rub it into my skin. This, especially the oil, really helps moisturize my face. If your skin is not that dry, I would suggest putting only a little bit of this mixture because it can be a lil bit oily.
She is spoiling us too much because if she doesn't post literally any other day I have somewhat of a midlife crisis with RUclips content 👁👄👁💕

same girl, i don’t know what my undertone is (it’s like very cool red almost purple) and no matter WHAT i put on my face it comes out too warm

If you struggle with foundations i bought the blue pigment from LA. Girl and it was one of the best purchases I had ever made

I literally don’t understand how you decide which one to use everyday. I only have two eyeshadow palettes, nude mood and miss bliss, and still have a hard time deciding which one to use. Maybe I’m just indecisive 🤷🏼♀️
Lol. That's why i have 11 eyeshadow palettes in my 'collection'.
I have both and I love miss bliss. It's my favorite pallete of theirs, I love the pinks

I was originally skeptical about the hype around Colourpop palettes, but I bought the the making mauves palette and the Labelle of the ball palette (I love purple lol) and they honestly are comparable to the quality of most of my high-end palettes. Thank you for convincing me to bite the bullet and buy them!

you should make a series where you rank all your palettes of the same color. like ranking all my pink palettes or ranking all my netueral palettes and if you don't have enough of a shade you could put them together like ranking all my blue and purple palettes
I really like that she does justify her choices so, as viewers, we can understand her reasoning and see how that logic would apply in our preferences. I also think it's very thoughtful whenever she mentions how she feels some palettes would benefit other skin tones. Since we're viewing this to try to understand how much we'll enjoy the palettes ourselves, it makes so much sense, and I really appreciate it!
The wine palette is supposed to look like a wine had been set on it and stained the area I’m not sure why they showed that with texture not color but oh well

My everyday CP palletes are nude mood, going coconuts, blush crush, that’s taupe, making mauves, and wild nothing. I use them throughout the week and other CP for when I want to do something bolder. If I were to gift someone palettes as a beginner, that would be my list.
The first colourpop palate I bought was the going coconuts one. I just love it a lot
I have 52 colourpop palettes and I do not need them for my job. I received three in the Bambi collection give away. I just love the brand. They make my favorite formula and using makeup is a fun hobby.
I love Aurora and Out, I'm actually wearing it right now. I do have my lid and crease with blue and the other half with green. I do the same on the lower lash line. Then I use the greenish blue shimmer and put it in the middle to blend the two colors and add the glitter on top.
This video is exactly what I need! I spent two hours on that website and couldn’t bring myself to come away with anything because of the ✨indecision✨

I loved this bc Colourpop is by far the company I have the most makeup from and purchase from, AND we have the same skin tone/eye color (ish)/and both love pinks, so it was fun seeing which ones I have and where you placed them, and they were all either in the top or not on here.
Right now Blush Crush has been my go to bc its just so easy to come out with cute neutral pink looks for every day or you can make it more BAM with some of the shimmers and i ADORE the shimmer on the right end of the middle row, so gorgeous how it shifts from diff shades of pink to gold. And apparently I need Always and 4ever too, I think it'd complement blush crush well.
Also you've convinced me to stop taking Strawberry Shake out of my cart! I always add it during a sale and then when I go to delete stuff so I dont spend so much, I always end up deleting it. But I'm buying it next time.

I've never been a red eyeshadow girl but went ahead and made the plunge during the recent sale, S.W.A.K. is on the way to me and I'm glad it has strong Angelika approval! 💛 I also ordered the Good as Gold (not in your list), and the Into Bloom (poppy and sunflower) pallets. Pretty excited to start playing with them.

I’m so pale and the At Forest Sight palette is my favorite! I like dark and dramatic so it suites me just fine lol
I feel the same way. It's my favorite pallete that I have. I'm super pale but I hate pastels on me because I feel like it doesn't stand out enough.
I'm so glad you love the wine & only palette! I always thought it's so pretty but I've seen so any people roast it for being boring when its??? stunning??? i feel like people jump to conclusions so quickly for colourpop palettes and claim boring or repetitive when it's nice to be able to wait for colourpop to release exactly what you want, you know? like there are similar shades in their older palettes for wine & only but they're too big for me
For eye palettes, instead of a project pan, I use a decision wheel app and set the list to eliminate the options until they’ve all been used and then it resets. I feel like it would work for you. Since you have so many maybe you could make a list per brand and do 1 brand per month instead of 1 palette.
You could even have a wheel to decide the brand!
Can you do your favorite pink eyeshadows video? I love pink eyeshadows too, they're my favorite. It's hard to find a pallete that is all lighter pink shades
I'd love to see a video of which palettes you go for depending on the season and the occasion. So impressed with how hard you're working and everything is high quality content 💜 but make sure you don't burn out!
Making Mauves is one of my new faves specifically because it is dusty....lol. I love every shade.

kind of wish they would do the whole monochromatic rainbow theme thing but with quads maybe? i guess thats what the point of the big rainbow palette is but where am i gonna put a laptop sized palette if im traveling
I feel like the the Hocus Pocus palette is the autumn vampy coloured sister to the pastel spring Garden Variety palette with the similar colour stories and amount of shades
i feel the criticism of the animal crossing 5 star island palette didnt make sense. its the quad thats based on Isabelle, who is a yellow puppy, that wears a cute lil pink island type of shirt. yeah, a pink shimmer wouldve been nice, but it wouldnt have related in isabelle in any way.

About the cool tones:
My best friend is *very* cool toned and a lot of eyeshadow is just not made for her. She could buy it nonetheless, but it doesnt look good and shes beyond frustrated, so I really think theres not enough of that on the market rather than too much. Yes, it sucks to have a harder time with a cute looking pallette, but some people really benefit from it
With those mono colour pallets, they could literally just make them smaller with 4 shadows and it would still be the same look

I get that everyone has different preferences and colours they like and that's totaly fine. Otherwise life would be boring. I just really don't understand how you can get only one look out of the Just My Luck palette. You can have a dark, mysterious cool toned look with the left side. Stay on the left but leave the dark colour out and you have a light, pastelly mint look. Use the matte on the right side with the lime shimmer and you've got a yellow leaning green look, take the other ride side shimmer and it's a muddy, grungy green look... I've created so many different looks with that palette I just don't understand :D
I love Colourpop and I always take your recommendations seriously, so this video was tons of fun to watch!
My top 3 Colourpop palettes thus far would probably be "Going Coconuts" (which I love for every day looks), the "WET" palette by Bretman Rock, and the "Frozen 2: Elsa" palette.
I recently purchased the "Stone Cold Fox" palette but was actually kind of disappointed by how the colors looked on me, so I haven't used it nearly as much as I thought I would.
I've been thinking of purchasing the "Fade Into Hue" palette because it seems like a good idea to have so many color options, especially for creating special looks, but I'm still not sure if it's worth it.

I bought the Wine and only palette after seeing your video about 5 months ago. I kept using it so much that I already hit pan on the matte burgundy shade and the red shimmery one (I love burgundy colour, and I like wearing eyeshadows matching my outfits). Thank you so much for suggesting this palette to a brown girl like me.

I know this isn't the idea, but seems the color condensed palettes are really to offer that color for mixed looks with other colors. A warm, a cool, a dark, a bright, to then play off others. The rainbow palettes or packs with all the color focused palettes are tempting because I think that's how they'd best be utilized.

THATS WHAT IT IS I have been some uninspired to do makeup with monochromatic palettes lately. It’s always the same look. There’s something about monochromatic palettes that draw me though my head likes the organization too much.
This has nothing go do with the video but can Angelika make a video where she does her makeup with darker tones? She always says she doesnt look good with them but i think i kinda disagree

Looking at your top favorites I think you'd really like the It's a Princess Thing palette. It was my first Colourpop palette and I could use it everyday and come up with different looks from natural to more dramatic.
Only 44? 🤣 Colourpop can put that many out in 3 months! They are so extra all the time!

The Baroque palette is really Jeremiah Starfish’s Cr*mated palette but done right
I love deeper smokey looks so I love the RBK At Forest Sight, the Brown Sugar collab with Karrueche is their best neutral palette to this day in my opinion, and I enjoy Boudoir Noir because of the olivey neutrals.
