Would you do a top 20 or 50 of all your palettes? Everyone does annual rankings for new palettes but it’d be cool to see how it fits in the wider collection 😊
I’m really surprised Clionadh didn’t make her Top list but I guess that’s not really a pallette.

I also found myself wearing and gravitating to a lot of blues this year. A color I never cared to wear before. But it actually makes my blue eyes pop!
I would love to see some tutorials on Moira cosmetics. I have recently heard amazing things about the brand and it is super affordable. Great picks this year!
Oden's Eye definitely had a banner year! Their releases have gone from great to amazing. Love their highlighters in particular. Kaleidos has also been doing great things. Especially their eyeliners and lippies. Curious if you've gotten the new sets and if so, are you having a swatch party 🤔? I jumped on Polar Placid, it's the cool tone neutral set of my dreams 🥰
I love OE… my only issue is the hard panning with the shimmers :/. I wonder if it has to do with where people live, I live downstairs in my home (not basement level) and it gets humid in warmer months… but even so doesn’t justify how often it happens with OE.
@@sjworrier0613 humidity definitely factors into hard pan. When I was living in Hong Kong EVERY powder product I had got it to some degree. Even with a dehumidifier running constantly. It got to the point that I had a role of sellotape just for my makeup 😆 Now that I'm living in Europe, I still have a makeup exclusive tape, but it mainly sees use lifting stray shimmers off my face
Beautiful pallettes. I had to laugh when you said make a friend in the bathroom😅😅. That has happened when I went to watch my friend's band. There was a girl in the bathroom with a couple of friends. She needed to throw up so bad. So between all of us in the bathroom, we took care of her, holding her hair, wet towel on her head. Omg we were encouraging her, saying she would feel so much better😅😅😅. Like a freakin cheer team, she recovered like a champion, thanked everyone that helped her. We all bonded in the bathroom lololololol. It was her birthday too! When I went back out my friends asked me where was I all that time haaaaaa!!! Loved this video. I had four of the same top five. Oden's Eye and Fantasy Cosmetics were definitely my top brands
I like that you could have easily included the Tarte Gilded palette in the #20 spot with the Glamour palette and no one would have batted an eye. But you specifically excluded it. That is cutthroat and I love it.
Anyone who saw my review video def would’ve batted an eye since I didn’t like Gilded at all 🤣 so it would be very strange to include it in my faves!

I've been soooo excited for this video! I agree with your picks. The Druid palette is a wonder and I'm surprised more people don't talk about that brand.
I think the Fantasy Cosmetica Druid palette has been in the top 10 palettes of almost all the RUclipsrs I watch, but to be fair I haven't yet had time to watch all the Best Of videos from my subscribed channels.
The oden's eye Christmas Day palette is hands down the best eyeshadow formula I have ever used. Totally worth the $74 CAD and it being stuck at customs for a week haha. It's unbelievably beautiful. Don't sleep on this brand. Worth saving for!

Oh! Hallo. How did I not see the review on your number 1 palette. I have so many of the palettes you showed. I love the Hela and Solmane II 💙💚💙. I am still gutted I didn't order the holiday release from Oden's eye and trouble maker but in the end I can only get so much. Great ranking and I am smitten with Nomad palettes, I have so many.
I love Theresa's palette it's tied for number one with the weirdos from unearthly for top favorites. Hela, Solmane 2, lethal night flower and blend bunny surge are my other favorites of the year. The blend bunny brush set is fabulous as well. I got a set for the black Friday sale and just grabbed another on her boxing day sale.
The Druid palette! Woohoo!!
This year I loved the Hela palette as it got me out of my comfort zone (I wear neutrals 95% of the time). I also love the Glaminatrix Nearly Natural palette. It's basically my dream palette: equal number of mattes/shimmers, mostly neutral with some greens and purples, good range of light to dark, and the shimmers are very sparkly. Took months for it to get here but it's great.

If you ever collab and are able to create a pallet “love at first swatch” should definitely be a name of a shadow. You do amazing shadow swatches and I know we can trust your experience since you touch so many different formula.

Thank you so much for all you do with your end of year videos. I watched them all!! They are great! A favorite of mine is by Two Faced Christmas in London from a year ago. I pull it out in December but use it through February a lot. It also has four gorgeous blushes as well as all the eyeshadows!

Amanda, if you're looking for a new indie brand, I've had good experiences with ShinebySD and COPACETIC COSMETICS so far. They make the most amazing sparkly and shifty shades. Really pretty.

Great list Amanda 😍 Your top palette is spot on, as are the rest. Go Hudson Valley palette. I saw some very mixed views on Klarity; both bloom and evil mermaid look amazing to me.

I have loved this series! But girrrrl, what about liner, mascara & brows? (Really, I want to know your take on mascara, but it seems like the other stuff would go along nicely with mascara.) okayyyy love your facccce, byeeee! ✌️
I never force/fake favorites just to fill spots so if I don't have a favorite for the year in that category then that's just the way it went that year. No new faves in those categories from 2022!

I was literally waiting for this video to be released! I just love your rankings and your sense of humour. I have a continuous wish list of brands to try and you just added one more brand to that - Clarity cosmetics.... upsisss. I was waiting to see where would you rank the lethal cosmetics nightflower palette and was surprised she didn't make the cut. I still have Nomad on my wishlist too. I am a newer subscriber to your videos and truly enjoy your take on the different palettes. the Indie brands are game changers and I have to thank influencers like you who bring them to the attention of beauty lovers. The prices aren't out of control like the mainstream greedy makeup artists' brands and are of great quality. The challenge for me is how to work with some of the colors and watching you and others is so helpful. Happy New Year

I slept on Odens eye, mostly due to the price. Haha. But I deeply regret those Christmas releases. I looked and went hard trying to afford them but in the end by the time I had the money, gone. 😢
Nice to see your favorites! Would like to try Odens eye but it turns me off when brand discontinues so quickly. Seems like the brand is unorganized. I do enjoy a lot of the blue palettes too-my fav this year is new mood from beauty bay although it has quite a few browns. Just keep reaching for it because it’s so easy to work with and the quality is excellent.
They don’t discontinue stuff quickly! Most of their launches are permanent or long term… Even Hela was available for a year and that was a LE release. Just the Christmas palettes sold out quickly which they were very transparent about those being very limited for the season. It’s nothing to do with being “disorganized” and everything to do with a small brand keeping their quality high and consistent 🥰

Well, now I know that I have got to put Fantasy Cosmetica The Druid and Nomad Cosmetics Sumthin-sumthin Province palettes on my "to get" list! I already know that I LOVE Nomad's eyeshadow formula because I always get great looks out of the Bosque Nuboso de Monteverde palette, so I would imagine that I would likewise enjoy the French province themed one as well. The New York state one is also lovely!

Hey just letting you know half the links to shop the palettes aren't links. It's just the letters. I was going to use a couple so you'd get a kick back but there were no actual links.
Again those odens eye holiday palates that no one else can buy...it's annoying that they did that and makes me not want to buy from them and go for another indie brand instead.
All they did was help greedy people who overprice it on Mercari...one even selling it for 1,000😆 that's just humourous
This is the nature of limited edition releases... they made no secret about the fact that this was a limited edition seasonal release. They even restocked it once because it sold out faster than they expected so there were TWO chances to purchase! Limited edition products are by definition not permanently available. This happens literally all the time with pretty much every makeup brand under the sun. I really am struggling to understand with this particular release is getting people so upset.
@@MakeupJustForFun I understand how limited edition products work but with many brands they release more than twice to make sure to make their customers happy. These were different in color story in my opinion than what they normally release. They just assisted the greedy on resale websites that's all they did and pissed off a lot of their customers. If there is a demand to restock they should listen to their customers. And you and I both know LE isn't always really LE with many brands
@@MakeupJustForFun I do hope someone copies these exact color stories with even better formula minus the packaging of Holiday. I'd buy it.
For a small brand like this, they absolutely need their limited edition releases to sell out completely so really they planned perfectly because they don't have to risk out of season dead stock sitting on their warehouse shelves. Investing too much into a massive production run or too many restocks which I know for a fact can take several weeks/months of a LE release (because they have to pay to produce these up front) could easily bankrupt a small indie in one go. Slow and steady growth with high quality control valued over speedy, "cash grab" style releases is part of what makes Oden's Eye and other similar small indies top notch brands in my opinion. Quick collection sell outs like this one help make larger production runs possible in the future so this is huge positive for both the brand and their customers in the big picture 🤩 edit to add: I think when a collection is so literally holiday themed like this one it is safe to assume it's really going to be limited. However, I do think it's a great idea for them to revive these palettes next year since it was such a well-received release! I will keep my fingers crossed to that!
