Same here, she has great recommendations for one look shadows!! If you want to avoid the layers. I'm a minimalist so that works.
A one and done eyeshadow you might like is Charlotte tilbury eyes to mesmerize. They look like you’ve done multiple steps. They’re lovely!! And are so user friendly. Will last a long time. Love it! I own 3 of them. Try champagne or oyster pearl. You won’t be disappointed.
Try one color over the lid then when you’re ready add another shade for depth then when you feel confident enough you can start adding some shimmer. Just play with it. Take your time. There are no rules. Start with a light hand and slowly build it up. You can always add more but it’s much harder to lighten it up.
Keep practicing sweetheart; you’ll get the hang of it. Remember to blend! You got this!
Would love to see a video where you do a few different looks using the ND I Need a Nude palette. Maybe like a simple all mattes subtle/natural look, then progressively more glam from there.

I'm loving the Natasha Denona Glam palette right now! So many beautiful deep bronze and brown shades along with every light to medium neutral metallic shade. There are a couple matte crease and blending colors along with a smoky black for the lash line. I can use this for a pretty day look or a glammed out smokey nighttime look.
Very informative video Nikki!! I've been on the hunt for a nude/neutral eyeshadow palette. Your video helped me choose which one i would choose. I can't afford to buy everything, so i research which product will i get the most use out of. Your videos ( not just this one) have helped me so much in making smart choices that i'll constantly use. The Viseart Neutral Mattes palette can’t be beat for me. I’m a a stage and camera performer and that palette literally changed my makeup life. I’ve used it for many years now and get so many compliments on my makeup. The formula is pigmented and blends like butter with no fallout, it’s just all around fantastic. I use a lot of high end shadows and every time I reach back for my Viseart it’s like a sigh of relief. Shimmers are fun to collect and play with to pair with this palette, but for a solid matte base with beautiful neutral warm and cool tones there is just no better formula out there for my skin.

Yes! I am fair and cool toned, so none of the matte palettes in this video make sense for me. But Viseart Neutral and Cool Mattes are my go-tos. Easy to work with and spot on in the undertones for my complexion.
I have never used a Viseart palette. Can you suggest a good one for me? I would love one with shimmers.

I absolutely agree about I Need a Nude. It looks boring but that is precisely what I enjoy about it. When I want to look out together quickly and not have makeup wear me, I pull out this palette. When my husband said I looked “normal” fell in love with it even more. Can’t wait to take it on a trip with me because it has simplified my makeup routine on days when I just want to keep it simple and pretty.

So glad you covered Elcie! I got the mauves one when I was first getting into wearing more dramatic eye makeup and it changed my world. It's so good - I had people stop me to ask what eyeshadow I was wearing. I think I watched a video where the owner talked about her process to develop the perfect flattering mauve tone. I had to toss it because it was old and have been thinking about replacing it.

Naked Lunch is one of my all time favourites! I'm wearing it today. I throw that on my lid with a nice crease colour, liquid liner and mascara and I look polished.

Marshalls and TJMax both have a limited number of the Pat McGrath palette locked up with their more expensive items right now. That’s where I found mine and I snatched it up so quick! I’m not anti-Charlotte Tilbury at all! I love the Pinkgasm glow wand. But it’s refreshing to hear a makeup artist say that her eyeshadows are nothing special. I get tired of the influencers raving up her products all of the time when all of them aren’t that special. To me! Now the new Natasha Denona pallet is amazing! It’s so pretty! The shimmers are beautiful! I love it. One of my favorite pallets is the Rose Metals pallet by ABH. It’s stunning on the eyes.
I agree with your top picks. Thanks for sharing your favorites. I would add the following because the formulas are a dream to blend: Sigma, ABH and Colourpop (so reliable and affordable, especially for non neutrals and metallics, call-out to Troublemaker palette). Of course there are indie brands like Nabla, City Color (Grunge) and Alora that I love to reach for.

Not shadow related, but I just bought the Tom Ford Cream Bronzer (because of your recommendation), and I'm in love. I didn't want to buy it all these years because of its price but it's worth every penny. It looks beautiful on the skin, and it's so easy to use. Literally fool-proof. Thanks Nikki!

a little tip: I use the light champagne shade from the Charlotte Tilbury as a face highlighter.. so soft and subtle so beautiful, and it means I travel with one less product in my bag 😊

the mothership v is one of my favorites too😍 its such a cool palette that when i brought it home and was showing my mom; my dad, who is your stereotypical "im a manly man i do construction and shoot guns manly man" saw that top shade you called the tinkerbell shade and thought it was so cool😂 first time i've ever seen him show even minimal interest in makeup lol, he was at the window tilting it back and forth like "look at it! it was green! and now its pink! and now its green!"

The colorful Pat McGrath shadow palette I found at TJMax and I LOVE it. Please do a couple eye looks with it for us because I feel like I need help! I usually wear neutral shadows but I wanna wear the heck out of this one because it speaks to me!

I would like that also. Lancome used to have some that I wore nearly every day but they are long ago discontinued. There was a green I put just over the center that made brown eyes pop.

I have ND glam and I need a nude and I always want an eye look just like the one you did for this video but I can never get it to look like that. I bought some discontinued palettes on Vinted. Was really great for that and saved me some money. I would love to add the girlactik palette to my collection but I think I need to hit some more pans in some of my other palettes first to justify it. Especially as the Colourpop bare necessities has a lot of similar shades. Really loved this video. Seeing looks with all of these palettes would be amazing. My favourite palette is very basic but it’s the Vieve Terra quad. It’s all mattes but I love it for every day. It makes my eye colour pop. I think next I would say nude mood from Colourpop. But I really don’t own that many and I still haven’t tried my Colourpop limoncello and sandstone palettes. I really think the palettes I would wish for would be the girlactik one and the Vieve essentials palette.

That fenty palette I passed on because non of the bronzers matches me perfectly… but then i saw you recommending it in another video & i got the last one available at my sephora and now I’m OBSESSED like you said I can’t start any eyeshadow look without it i mix the lightest 2 shade to make it work for my face but as eyeshadow that palette is everything no fallout at all i look that deepest shade too it’s my favorite in my collection

I cant believe I had most of the pallets you reviewed 🙄 One just cannot get enough makeup ... its just so relaxing to put on and buy 😆.... Nonetheless; I did not have the Elcie neutrals pallet so I went ahead and bought this & they had a beautiful Mauve pallet on their website that for me, mauve is a must have those colors just look good on my skin tone... Thanks Nikki.. I do have to get the Ptatrick Ta I only have his Mauve pallet but if you like his other warm and all matte pallets I am sure they are a must have... I saw that Elcie pallet at marshals for 6$ last week and a few other products of theirs . I didn't know much about the brand so I didn't buy it but if I see it again I'll grab it .

Wow, this is the first video I have seen where I like the way the Biba palette looks. I feel like whenever I see this palette on a website, pictures or in someone else’s video, it just looks like a very warm brown palette but in your video, it looked like more complex range of rosy toned, peachy toned and neutral, pebble and toned eyeshadow colors.

Videos like this are SO helpful. Thank you Nikki! All the reviews on Natasha’s I Need a Nude palette made me fall in love with the idea of cool colors on my olive skin, as I tend to go for warm. My finger was poised over the buy button, but then I did a hard swerve and got Stone Cold Fox by Colourpop instead. I love Colourpop’s formula so I’m excited to see how it goes!

I've been wanting the ND I need a nude since it dropped & everyone loved but I saw you can get similar looks w/Stone Cold Fox & since I like Colour Pops formula as well , but don't have a big $35 pallet from them , I decided to save $ & go for that instead too! Loved to see you did the same thing ! ( NGL I'd love to own a Natasha Denona pallet- esp that one!)
@@onlytruth247 me too - it just looks so ELEGANT in a way CP doesn't, especially after you've had your grubby hands on it for a while. I think you'll love the mega palette - I've had the Bare Necessities for a year and it's perfect in terms of blendability. The toppers do have some fallout but I put my other finger under my eye as I press it in and do eyeshadow before foundation to minimize that. I *could* get one of the premium palettes - but I do love CP's formula, and when I see that strong of a dupe match...my responsible bone starts aching. ;-)

Very interesting. Funny that I Need A Nude Palette, is not completely nude: a lot of shimmer and rosy tones. It is gorgeous! A little expensive for me and I don’t wear so much shimmer or extravaganza all the time, but I do appreciate looking at it. I actually have a small ND eyeshadow palette with five colors, I love it a lot and it’s even wearable for an everyday look. These palettes that you are showing are like pieces of art. They are even more beautiful when they are used and loved, I think.
Nikki, you need to try the jordana ticia nude divinity palette!! It’s a smaller UK brand but it’s such a staple, the best full matte palette for makeup artists (and non makeup artists too)
i own none of these 🙈 but a palette i really like is the Lisa Eldridge vega palette. it looks very inconspicuous (greys/browns) but it is so versatile, it can be used for work but also for smokey evenings :)

Nikki, I wonder why the Huda beauty pretty grunge was not here. I think they payoff is good and it can be diverse. I’d love to know how you feel about huda beauty. I am contemplating to buy ONLY ONE pallette that gives me everything, i usually go for minimal nude or a smokey. Brown eyes, don’t love warm tones on my eyes. What do you think?
