On RUclips remember. We’ve seen so many people appear to be totally great on tv or RUclips. We keep being fooled because these people aren’t the same people offline. Even if you’ve met them and they’re the same - that’s timed. When they’re alone with family it’s a different story more often than not. You shouldn’t ever just assume they’re the same way.

I would like to visit Japan, when all
this covid eventually enables me to
do so - the people of Japan seem so
      respectful, unlike the Chinese.
I have visited Thailand 30 times
over the past 15 yrs and while I
love the country maybe its time
      for a change 😊🇬🇧😊🇬🇧
      Where would you recommend going!
Osaka looks good, also is English
      widely spoken.
Finally I cant use chopsticks, find it
so difficult ☺☺☺ stay safe and
      greetings from the U.K. 🙏🇬🇧🙏🇬🇧

Is it just me or I have noticed Mark doing his signature head tilting much lesser now;even when the food is good? And I also notice(may be on his other channel) that he mentioned "my rating" . Hey Mark, please keep on doing your signatory move as that's the perfect sign for all of us to get "Approved by Mark Wiens" feeling :) .

@Ben, Yes I know but in his earlier videos of Japan travel, he did mention that food was great and his signature move was there too. It's something that I have observed in the last few videos only and definitely, not liking the food to that level best may be the reason.

I'm Filipino and I've had Filipino street food and I enjoyed them quite a lot but for those who look for safe Asian street food I suggest Japan to be the place.

Westerners love it but have no clue. You are somewhere inbetween.
Way toooooo many, wanna be dedicated westerners, get caught up in the, "more spice, the better" syndrome.
    Keep it simple stupid!
Overwhelming tastebuds is totally wrong! Idiots!
Subtlety is an art that almost ALL americans don't ever understand nor ever experience.

I went to Shokudo diner last time I was in japan with my husband and it was awesome! the food was cheap, but of good quality. You would microwave your food if you needed to, they gave you unlimited soup, rice, and tea. I've been actually craving one of the bean spout dishes I had there!
If you're still in the area you should try gomei akita beef

5:06 I'm Japanese and I've been to Sanshuya, the old school diner (cheapest!) in Ginza. The service isn't that well (these grandmas are pretty tough! They never smile!!), but I enjoy that old, post WWII rough feeling.
There is a traditional bar called "Star Bar" specialized in seasonal cocktails around the corner as well.

In Japan, chicken can be eaten raw because the butchery process, logistics, and restaurants are very clean and well maintained.
    Probably only in Japan.
Japanese chefs wash their hands several times a day. Japanese cooks also keep their knives and cutting boards as clean as possible to prevent food poisoning.

    • @gdi24-7
      @gdi24-7 4 года назад

Kelley Abitbol I totally respect that. You didn’t freak out due to the fact it was raw or dismiss it because of the way it might smell or taste. But thinking you may have an issue with the texture makes sense. Kind of like okra, if you can get over the slime it’s not that bad. The one rule I have with food raising my kids is that you don’t have to like it but you have to try it and most of the time my kids have an issue with food is texture.
