Vipassana, which means to see things as they really are, is one of India's most ancient techniques of meditation.
Vipassana is a way of self-transformation through self-observation. It focuses on the deep interconnection between mind and body, which can be experienced directly by disciplined attention to the physical sensations that form the life of the body, and that continuously interconnect and condition the life of the mind. It is this observation-based, self-exploratory journey to the common root of mind and body that dissolves mental impurity, resulting in a balanced mind full of love and compassion.
The technique is taught at ten-day residential courses during which participants follow a prescribed Code of Discipline, learn the basics of the method, and practice sufficiently to experience its beneficial results.

    • @charmjasmi
      @charmjasmi Год назад +1

Vipassana is not india's most ancient technique, to start with. if you claim the country, it would be more of Nepal ! Since Buddha was Nepal Prince before he became the monk, and do not confuse Vipassana with other various bunch of mind-calming process which a lot different practitioners are teaching. Vipassana is completely at another whole different higher spectrum.

In fact, the fewer needs you have, the happier you are-this is what I have discovered.

The way he is speaking is misleading:
He says “they don’t just select anyone “ - it’s not “selective” in the way he tries to make it sound. He didn’t get selected for being some kind of way, he just didn’t have criteria that would have excluded him. They screen out people with mental health disorders as they could present a safety issue to themselves or others

The correct pronunciation of Vipassana is 'Vipashyana' as this word is a Pali word coming from root word pashyati (also the same meaning of 'to see' in Sanskrit). Today many are pronouncing it wrongly as 'vipaasana' which wrongly relates to the meaning of this word to some kind of upaasana. So please pronounce it correctly as wrong pronunciation changes the meaning of the word.

Yes its true that in meditation you are supposed to focus on a single point.
Some focus on breath, some on a point of light and others on a mantra.
All have their benefits but the highest benifit is focusing on mantra sound because breath and light fall within the material realm while mantra is a spiritual sound.
Of all mantras, the HareKrishna maha mantra gives the highest benifit because it is focused on the name of the Highest.

It's funny how i'm watching this video at the 10th day of my Vipassana course... At my cell at 12:30 a.m. and have to be at the hall before 4:30 a.m. (p.s. you get your belongings including your phone back on day 10)

Hi.. Can you plz tell me, is it compulsory to sit the entire time morning to night during the meditation session.. I really wanna go for it but only thing that is stopping me is my back pain... I really can't sit for so long due to immense pain 😓 But i really really wanna do this course...

@@SonuSonu-qj6cp When I went, they allowed people to use a chair with a back or sit leaning against a wall if they were unable to sit upright on a cushion. But the beauty of Vipassana is that you will have to face your pain, and you will have many opportunities to experience it in new and surprising ways. I pulled a muscle in my neck the night before I left for my first 10 day retreat and honestly, in a strange way, it was a blessing 🙏

I suggest everyone start with at least 10 minutes of Anapana if you are a beginner and want to attend a 10-day Vipassana course. Do it wherever you are, and increase the timing slowly; otherwise, it will be very difficult to complete the 10-day course, and you won't get many benefits."

Ranveer's opinion about Vipassana needs to be more accurate, and it is obvious that he still needs to do it. That's fine. There are no secret teachings in the Vipassana course, no mystery, mythology, gods, or prayers, but austere, open, straightforward, disciplined, and silent sitting. If you are serious about spiritual transformation, the Vipassana meditation and ten-day retreat is the gold standard. The course asks for no money. People from any religion can attend. Even if one comes from other spiritual traditions or non-spiritual backgrounds, even an atheist interested in peace of mind can benefit, with no strings attached. Buddha was not about views, opinions, or philosophies. He was a pragmatic teacher who taught for 45 years. Eighty-four thousand suttas (verses) of his original, recorded teachings are there. These are for monks, householders, and anyone in any different situation. Contextually, they differ, but core teaching is the same. It is all about understanding the real cause behind our discontent and irradicating it so we can have a long-lasting relalization and relief, and be happy. It is the beigning of a radical life altering process.

i dont know if you gonna trust me or not but i want to share few things March 2020 before lockdown happen (i was in Hyderabad and lockdown happened on 22nd of March i came out of Vipassana on 21st March . After coming out i had to lock myself in room due to heavy lockdown. Cut out to the question why i went thr? I have no shame of saying this because i was going thorugh shit physically loop mentally and vice versa, bald patches, piles, deficiency of vitamins and extremely sacred of hospital. Coming back after Viassana , and following the same as thr was lockdown no one to talk... it was easy to follow, one month my bald patches went away (Doctor said i had to to take injection with due respect to the doctor) but it was just stress.... with continued yoga too... good with other problems too. I got myself things are coming in different forms but the way react get changed after vipassana :)

I also did Vipassna for 10 days - and noticed most of people who enrolled himself for this course they give up within initial 3-5 days.
It was really life changing experience for me - i learn how our breath control all kind of sensations/emotions that has been creates in entire body and mind.
And then how emotions trun into the thoughts and then thoughts trun in the image (self image or image of others)
I learn the importance of art of observations - we have to observe the all kind of sensations and emotions without any background/past/observer- and it's make change our lives.

He blocked me because of that and said I will break your judgmental teeth. I met him one day with my friends and reminded him about that he simply smiled and said dude you are brave and I like that. I tried to join his Gym in Mohali and got to know I am blacklisted for life. 🤣😂

He's just an influencer who takes advantage of people like us interested in such subjects , the guests he gets are amazing but his questions according to me insult what the guest is trying to say.
