My biggest bass are always caught on my buzz baits! I absolutely love my buzz bait & I constantly share this tip & even give some of my extra buzz baits to people fishing near me! The buzz bait I will only use it the one(no idea of the name) that has a big blade & a smaller blade right behind it. Not the double blade that’s side by side, important to remember cuz I’ve used the side by side buzz bait & it just sucks! So the buzz bait that I use that has one big blade & a tad smaller blade right behind it just absolutely makes great noise & glides through weeds(not really thick) with ease! I’m from southern MN around the Mankato & St. Peter area & my two personal best bass were obviously caught with my favorite buzz bait & they were 7lbs 4oz & 7lbs 15oz! There’s an awesome bonus to using buzz baits as it’s so much fun watching the bass(pike too) just pound the top water buzz baits;)! I also wanna mention that I’ve never put anything on my buzz baits for more action. They’re great without anything trailing but I actually might do so just to see if will increase my catches, I’m quite curious
This is the reason I love about buzzbaits because when you throw the lure out in the water it looks and sounds like you skipped a rock through the water but you are retrieving the rock and the fish with it.
Buzzbaits ABSOLUTELY work. I like to think of them as a continuum going from full, bladed (sometimes double bladed) noise machines, down to whopper ploppers and even toads. They all serve the same purpose. It’s all about how active your top water bite is. If they’re smashing the surface, I use a buzz bait. You wanna slow down a TAD bit and draw them in, a plopper and if you just want a little more commotion than a frog, use a toad. Standard issue, bladed buzzbaits are absolutely deadly on certain summer nights though...just as the sun dips behind the trees. My second biggest last year was taken on a black buzzbait. We’re definitely getting close to that time of year (in New England) when I’m gonna be busting them out again.
Even when shore fishing at the beach these things work! Seabass hunt that thing down like no other. Just need to be careful that no seagull picks it up, but when I notice one approaching it I just slow it down so it can sink down out of reach until the bird is gone and then real it back in. And that's usually when the seabass strike. :) Awesome footage there, bud! Cheers!
I love the buzz bait ... never used it till this year , I haven't bought a good one yet ... just the cheep 1 dollar Walmart buzz, but it works ... Walmart dosent supply much for bass tackle at the one near me. ... will order that one , great tips , thanks for posting
I often fish a 2 acre pond at work. Fishing from shore or pier is only option. I borrowed a buzzbait from a coworker that he got from LTB. He almost didnt get it back. I actually caught the most fish when I let it sink just so that the top of the prop was just below the water.
At one time, this was the only lure I ever fished with lol.true story.for years.every fall was buzzbait season lol.ive caught some huge Bass on buzzbaits!!
new to bass fishing. never targeted them. always have been a "by-catch" for me as a live bait fisher. trying something new from the bank. caught my first ever targeted bass 2 weeks ago with a white tandem col/willow spinner. anyway thanks for the info and greetings from south louisiana
+MrPanchito2233 That's the point of doing these videos. The easiest way to learn a new technique is to see someone else fish it. You don't have to do exactly what I am doing but at least you have a starting point. Good luck and thanks for watching!
I never see anyone fish these great lures during the daytime. I use them all day as long as its cloudy & catch em. Especially during a sun shower or a lil drizzle. The original "Lunker Lure" buzzbaits are cheaper than most, but are the best on the market!
I have a buzz bait tied on all the time. I have this same one tied on now, but have yet to catch my first buzz bait fish. With this info I feel like I can go out and slay them now. Hopefully this weekend will be my first buzz bait fish.
+Travis Moran AWESOME! We here @ UrbanOutlawFishing are exclusively Bank Fisherman and look forward to those Videos. the Sugar Buzz and the Reaction Strike XRM Spybait are the ONLY lures from aprils box I have yet to Film myself catching and landing Fish on, have Vids of Me catching with Everything else.
Hey strike king can you manufacture 3 wing prop to that sugar buzz? Like your Buzzking Jr? Makes retrieving the lure slowly a lot easier, and I would buy more $$$
nice. do I use a swivel. do I use a leader line. thanks for the shot out about the shore. imma get me a buzz bait and go out this weekend. thanks again tee.
I am a starter fisher. I learned about drop shot, jig and now this one. I wanted to fish for Trout, Catfish, Bass. Was wondering what 2 Rods should i get? And what methods? As well as lures. Trying too be educated.
Travis i have no idea how LTB doesnt have more youtube subscribers. I love the channel man. New sub here for sure. I actually have some questions for you if you see this.
I can’t find the correct rod after going to dicks over 10 times. The lews website said buy from the distributors but they don’t have what they sell on the website. It’s like it’s available but you can’t ever buy it. I’m looking for the black and gold lews david Fritts model medium heavy power, moderate action. Also looking for a heavy power moderate- moderate fast action. No one sells them. Time to check out abu Garcia and see if they have close to what I’m looking for. FYI I’m bass fishing every other day and almost always catch one within half an hour. I use jig baits and a whopper ploppers 110 and 130 with a spinning rod and looking for my upgrades.
50% of the time I throw the buzzbait it either retrieves like its suppose to. Or it stops buzzing, turns a bit to the left and kinda sinks or something. Very frustrating... I've tried making sure the hook and the other wire are aligned right but it still does it... I'm using 30 lbs braid too so idk...
I personally like a 3/8 if we’re talking versatility, as it’s a little easier to slow roll, but can still be burned back. Keep in mind you can increase or decrease how high the bait rides in the water depending on what kind or trailer you use or if you use one at all. Don’t be afraid to try a buzz bait in the middle of the day either if you have vegetation or shade pockets around. I throw buzzbaits in the middle of the day during summer in TX with no clouds in sight and still get slammed.

Thanks for the tips. I landed a huge bass with the buzz bait today. What an amazing experience with top water fishing.
SICK!!!!! The above water/underwater simultaneous footage is super cool. KILLING IT!!

You would think trailer hooks would come standard on all buzz baits
Thx for posting but I’m thinking I need a buzzbait with a free swinging hook that you can retrieve SLOWer….. what would be a good one?
Thx
I really like your smartness just wish there was a lucky tackle box show for trout
I love the buzz bait ... never used it till this year , I haven't bought a good one yet ... just the cheep 1 dollar Walmart buzz, but it works ... Walmart dosent supply much for bass tackle at the one near me. ... will order that one , great tips , thanks for posting
Thanks for doing a rundown on a bait I can get anywhere in the USA. Walmart carries this exact bait! Thanks :)

This helped so much, Thank you great vid!
Man that’s an awesome looking lake!
So is it better to add trailer hooks or leave it like it is
I'm ready for my first LTB XL NOW!!! lol. After watching this video, I'm going to try buzz baits.
+MrPanchito2233 That's the point of doing these videos. The easiest way to learn a new technique is to see someone else fish it. You don't have to do exactly what I am doing but at least you have a starting point. Good luck and thanks for watching!

Hey Travis love your videos. great explanation with the perfect amount of humor. keep it up pal.

Love This, especially the Bank Fishing Shout Out! Thanks Travis ✊👏
+Urban Outlaw Fishing Hahaha glad you caught it. Our goal is to have some shore vids in June when I get back to California.
Caught 2 pike this past weekend on a buzz bait. Fishing it below the surface actually on both.
I can't wait to try these I love the swing head concept. I have lost a few nice bass when they jump on the ole buzzer.
+BassGeek It's really cool how many advantages the swing head brings to the bait! Thanks for watching!
Hey strike king can you manufacture 3 wing prop to that sugar buzz? Like your Buzzking Jr? Makes retrieving the lure slowly a lot easier, and I would buy more $$$
Buzz baits are awesome I caught so big bass with them
thanks for teaching me how to use buzz bait
ur sittin up there fiddlin with the sweet stuff and dem fishes is hongry!
What size do you recommend Travis 1\2 1\4 or 3\8 for all around fishing
+Bassraider810 3/8 oz is the most versatile
+Travis Moran thanks man
Cool video, good info. Cant wait to get my first ltb xl in May......
+Team Wild Card Fishing Thanks for joining the LTB fam!
Hello what about in water with Northern? Would you make any adjustments using a steel leader? Such as retrieve, arm adjustment, etc.
Yes the strike king buzzbaits are great. So is the Cavitron

I am a starter fisher. I learned about drop shot, jig and now this one. I wanted to fish for Trout, Catfish, Bass. Was wondering what 2 Rods should i get? And what methods? As well as lures. Trying too be educated.

I've caught giant bass on buzz baits and 12" worms

Awe man. I've watched just about every video you've done. if I don't catch the big one I'm going to be very disappointed. Great videos
+DERWIN SEXTON Thanks! Good luck, with some practice and patience, you'll be reeling in trophy fish in no time!
+DERWIN SEXTON You got this man! I feel some big bass coming your way very soon!
Really nice, congrats! ;)
+Bonviedro Outdoors thanks!
fishing with spinerbait is cool top water an cached a 10.09

I've tried making sure the hook and the other wire are aligned right but it still does it... I'm using 30 lbs braid too so idk...
same. always seems to list to the side. plus i cant get it 'buzzing' until about halfway through my retrieve...
why would you use flouro on something top water?
Which Buzzbait Works The Best In All Conditions? 1/2 or 3/8?
+Grant Foster Ponds and small lakes I would go with 3/8 but I use the 1/2 for fishing big lakes and having a lot of control over the bait
Thanks Travis! Tight Lines!! Seen You On Bass Dr On Tv:)

@@r.barefoot8386 so 3/8 for small ponds?
@@chrisrhinehart45 Yes, I would go with 3/8.
Travis,
Do you run a guide service?
+Robert Rodriguez I do not do any guiding. I do know some incredible guides out here in California if you need any suggestions.
whats the song
very helpful
I like buzzbait
Sir,Price???
i own that same buzz bait & never had luck. whopper plopper gets the fish
neve caught a fish on one yet i make them and sell em and ppl said they catch so here i am
Do an episode on how to fish from shore
+Jett Vivanh Planning on doing some shore vids for the June box! Thanks for watching!
Free swinging buzzbait head 😯 take my money!
Fun fact the buzz bait doesn't make noise under water
i want this buzzbait!!! lol
+Homero Garza It's a great bait! Thanks for watching!
Why do people use incerdibly heavy braids? Does braided line not hold its advertised weight?
thinner diameter = more birdnest / higher chance to lose the lure
Nice
Too bad there aint no good waters here in oregon.
Bro this guy prally slams redbulls all day.
I caught my pb on this lure
I'm pissed. I didn't get this in my April box... what gives?
+Levi Williams This was in the Bass XL box
My neighbor made me a super good one
