Been throwing it since it was called the Squeaky Dolphin bro. By Reaction Innovations. Same guy designed the Vixen for them which he calls the Kicknocker Oh his frogs are. Actually his baits are. His frog and a couple of other baits used to be sold as Reaction Innovation baits as well. Checkout his entire line. Very unique designs
For buzz baits built like the boogerman, if you're getting short strikes or don't like all the play where the blade sits, slightly pinch down the river where you want it and cut off the excess arm leaving enough to bend down so the rivet and blade don't come off. This will put a bigger gap between the arm and hook and also make your lure start working sooner. Great video!
Timely video TJ, just picked up a couple Googan Buzz baits from my local $1 store, great deal and I love throwing them, unfortunately the Pike love them as well.
I saw the hook up takle vid! I bought 2 and WOW they are awesome! The sqeek is very unique! I already caught one dink... I'm going to order a few more! Cast great and tracks well!
I’ve been watching your videos off and on over the years. Your reel disassembly and maintenance videos are well done & helpful. The Hook Up Tackle does carry some badass JDM tackle , reels , rods etc But they are $$$$$ I’m a older viewer started fishing in the late 1960s. And the Hook Up seems to be more gear for the younger generation ? Just in the way they come across in verbiage and mannerism. Dig your vids pretty spot on and low keyed. I would like to add you can’t go wrong with BenchMade Blades . I’ve carried them for years. For casual use and defensive. Thanks for taking time out to make this video
I just got my order of these also. Fantastic design. I really like the absence of the bend and rivet. I'm really looking to your on the water take on these.
That's an awesome looking buzz bait, I might have to pick up a few colors! I was eyeing it when it dropped last week, it was great to see your close-ups of the bait! Thanks brother for the video!
Good lookin buzzbait! I gotta start throwing them more often again. Threw them all the time back in the day. Then the whopper plopper style baits started coming out an i ended up just putting the buzzbaits aside. But man, big fish catchers!💪💪
I like the bigger gap between the blade and hook tip. Not to sure what to think on the threaded part. Sort of looked frail for a lack of a better word. Also is it threaded reversed or something to keep it from unscrewing itself? Last I just don't see the nearly triple price for a buzz bait happening for me. Just me being a average fish for fun guy I don't have any issues with the 15 different brands of buzz baits I have. Sort of if it isn't broke why pay so much to fix it is my attitude. Although I do love the finish of the blades on them.
Hook up tackle! They get some very nice stuff in. They got some Karen’s in almost ordered a couple but Horseshoe tackle got me🤣 for lures and a lure knocker! Yes windy here also.
Couple things - The threaded barrel can be adjusted to position the blade so it knocks or unscrewed a bit so it doesn’t. No need to bend the wire. Also, too much other info provided makes for an excessively long video off topic regarding the main reason i watched which was the buzz bait.
You will need to lets us know on a follow up to those Teckle buzzers, Teckle stuff in the past seem to have problems holding together, maybe they are past that. look nice though.
The bead idea os from the bead knocker (a old design ive not seen in years), the center blade lock is a new way to do a older design that was out long before the designer of this one was designing baits lol. They will still catch scum and gunk in that part and the blade regardless of what the sales pitch is on them 😂. They look nice though but to me a buzzbait isnt a pricey bait so... ill keep fishing the ones i build and booyah lol they catch fish just the same.
These first comments are puzzling lol and I’ve never tried a Buzz Bait Lure and not sure if it would work in the River. If anyone has PLEASE chime in with some Intel.
They certainly do! I use them for pike and bass in the river with excellent results. If there are rocks sticking up out of the water, or if they are close to the surface, make sure you cast and retrieve the buzzbait so that it hits the rock and goes around or over the rock, and don't forget to cast parallel to overhanging banks and branches if you have any.
I love the Booyah buzz bait, and it catches me fish. I must admit that Teckel buzz bait is badass. 👊😎🎣
💯 brother! 👊💪
Saw the Buzzbait on the Sunday Hook Up Tackle podcast. Looks awesome.
