    Wow, never expected such high output pickups to sound so tight, especially on a 7 string. Great playing Gord and some rhythm samples will be a great addition. I'm definitely buying a set.

    Bought the bridge pickup at Fuzz guitar show and I'm for sure buying a set for my backup guitar as well.
    Well done once again to Johan and crew on a very nice rock/metal pickup!

      Hey bud, I have an RG752 that I want to mod up to my needs as I detest the stock Dimarzio PAF7's, some of the most underpowered pickups I've ever heard, why they put them in a 7 I'll never know. I've been trying to decide on the replacements for ages, I'm usually an EMG user but was considering a Fluence Modern set wired up for all manner of coil splitting but having recently picked up a guitar with BKP Painkillers that sound incredible I'm looking at passive options too. My main goal is a great Heavy tone AND good coil splitting for as much versatility as possible, how do the Lundgrens fair in this respect?

    • @colejustesen
      @colejustesen 3 года назад

      @@thegodless2904 to be honest I was expecting the Lundgren M7 to be tighter than it was. Now that said, I opted to switch the baseplate on the Lundgren set with baseplates from some DiMarzio pickups. I did this so they would fit the routing on the guitar, instead of routing my body. So I can't 100% say they respond that was in stock form. That said, the tone was killer! I haven't tried many passive sets in a 7 string, but these were clearly the best! I would buy them again. I have a set of Seymour Duncan Nazgûl/Sentient pickups in my E-II MR-7 that sound incredible. I haven't tried these with split coils, so I can't comment on them, but they are excellent. The notched positions with the Lundgren sound great too, but expect a bit of drop in volume. I didn't use them much myself, as I prefer humbucker sound in this seven string. Is your RG752 basswood?
      As far as actives go, EMG is my brand! I have been trying some stuff from Seymour Duncan with good results. As a matter of fact I have a Jeff Loomis set that that I will be trying in my E-II MR-7 because I have been interested. As far as Fishman, they don't tickle my fancy at all. I feel like the voicing options are novelty at best, and for the ones I have tried, I could easily get similar tones by adjusting the volume and tone controls on the guitar. I can say though, Fishman have incredible sustain. I wasn't impressed by their single coil voicing at all. Having single coil guitars and comparing the Fishman Modern in that mode was clear to me that Fishman model sounds and actual humbuckers and single coils are the sound they are modeling. I have tried to like Fishman, but to my ears they are anemic and toneless. I am definitely in the minority though, but I would take EMGs any day over them.

    Can we hear clean tones and rhythm tones?
    This isn’t really helping with showing the versatility and range of the pickups.
